Eugene Ionesco

Childhood is the world of miracle and wonder; as if creation rose, bathed in the light, out of the darkness, utterly new and fresh and astonishing.

Miracles

Each time that I switch on the light
A Miracle it seems to me
That I should rediscover sight
And banish dark so utterly.
One moment I am bleakly blind,
The next--exultant life I find.

Below the sable of the sky
My eyelids double darkness make.
Sleep is divine, yet oh how I
Am glad with wonder to awake!
To welcome, glimmery and wan
The mighty Miracle of Dawn.

For I've mad moments when I seem,
With all the marvel of a child,
To dwell within a world of dream,
To sober fact unreconciled.
Each simple act has struck me thus--
Incredibly miraculous.

When everything I see and do
So magical can seem to me,
How vain it is to seek the True,
The riddle of Reality . . .
So let me with joy lyrical
Proclaim all Life a Miracle!

I So, Love The Scent, of A Fresh, Cup Of Tea
Like, I Love The Smell, of A Fresh-Bathed Baby
Both, Are So Very Delicate, Soothing & Sweet
Both, Are A Unique, Fragile-Moment Complete
And With Rose Petals and Soft Lavender Scents
And Apple-Blossoms, Honey and Fresh Peppermint
All Come In Lotions Or Talc-Powder For Baby
And In My Teacup, These Aromas Are Tasty
I So Love The Scent of Steeped-Leaf Tea
And A Fresh-Bathed, Gurgling Baby
Come, Sip A Cup of Tea With Me
While I Hold & Sniff The Baby

Light And Darkness (Wholeness)

light and darkness
cannot survive without
each other....

they draw on each other,
feed on each other,
are formed by each other....

two parts of the same being,
wholeness, and expression....
light and darkness....

we look at life through prisms....
change the prism you're looking through....
from one of hatred to compassion....

all the colors of your world will change!
embrace the darkness, and
search for the light.....

creation, and the Creator,
are within you!
light and darkness....

Its A Miracle

It must have happened sometime in the night,
No one saw the stone be rolled away.
When the grave saw morning light,
The skeptics and friends all had to say,
Its a miracle,
Its a miracle,
Its a miracle happened today.
Its a miracle,
Its a miracle,
He took the stone, and he rolled it away.
My soul is like a tomb in constant night;
Till one day the stone was rolled away.
Then my heart saw morning light,
And no one alive can explain it away.
Its a miracle,
Its a miracle,
Its a miracle happened today.
Its a miracle,
Its a miracle,
He took the stone, and he rolled it away.
Now, now wont you see,
What Im trying to say?
If you believe, it could happen today!
Its a miracle,
Its a miracle,
Its a miracle happened today.
Its a miracle,
What a miracle,
He took the stone, and he rolled it away.
Its a miracle,
What a miracle,
Its a miracle happened today.
Its a miracle,
What a miracle,
He took the stone, and he rolled it away.
(its a miracle,) you know its really a miracle,
A miracle, a miracle,
(its a miracle,) you know its really a miracle,
He took the stone, and he rolled it away.
(its a miracle,) you know its really a miracle,
A miracle, a miracle,
(its a miracle,) you know its really a miracle,
He took the stone, and he rolled it away.

A Rose That Once Stood Alone

A solitary rose grew in the darkest corner of the garden
Surrounded by many others
Yet remained alone

Time passed and trials came and went
One dealt a severe blow
And the rose began to wilt and wither

Forgotten...

Then... as if by a miracle...

There came a soft and gentle breeze
Followed by a ray of light
As all the other roses fell into darkness
The solitary rose began to shine

Shining with a special light...
And watered by a gentle cascade...
A cascade of love
A cascade of selfless affection

'I do... not now but forever...'
Said the rose to the sunlight
And there they remain
A rose in full bloom
With her sunshine smiling down on her...

You are my sunshine, my life, my very soul
And I your rose blooming in the light of your love.

The Moth Story

what saddens the moth
was its loneliness in the darkness
that covers its world
it says that light is lovelier
this nook is killing me
and so it takes flight to its
suicidal journey
that it never knew was
until
you know what happened
attracted by light
it bathed itself in fire
it died
what we did not know
and this we were not told
was that
it had lived happily ever after in its next life
as part of light itself
what we only saw
was ash

Mid Summers Rose

when a rose blooms out at sunset in
the mid summers evening light it is said that a new miracle had come
june 20th,2011
the day that had changed my life for the better
a friend that i never thought i'd be able to find
has come to me
tearing me from this storm that i had thought was my life forever
you had come and showed me that life has its ups and downs
you showed me a way to get past my fears
past my depression
into a life that i now dedicate to honoring you
when a rose blooms out at sunset in
the mid summers evening light it is said that a new miracle had come
And the miracle it had brought was you

Wislawa Szymborska

Miracle Fair

Commonplace miracle:
that so many commonplace miracles happen.

An ordinary miracle:
in the dead of night
the barking of invisible dogs.

One miracle out of many:
a small, airy cloud
yet it can block a large and heavy moon.

Several miracles in one:
an alder tree reflected in the water,
and that it's backwards left to right
and that it grows there, crown down
and never reaches the bottom,
even though the water is shallow.

An everyday miracle:
winds weak to moderate
turning gusty in storms.

First among equal miracles:
cows are cows.

Second to none:
just this orchard
from just that seed.

A miracle without a cape and top hat:
scattering white doves.

A miracle, for what else could you call it:
today the sun rose at three-fourteen
and will set at eight-o-one.

A miracle, less surprising than it should be:
even though the hand has fewer than six fingers,
it still has more than four.

A miracle, just take a look around:
the world is everywhere.

An additional miracle, as everything is additional:
the unthinkable
is thinkable.

When did it..

When did it go away?
Those happy moments...Those loving moments...Those peaceful days...The light of day...The childhood I once had...It's been so long...Did i even have those things?
When did it take over?
Sadness...Faded happiness
Hate...Turned my heart dark
Insanity...Trapped me in it's world
Darkness...Covers my light
Voices...Killed my childhood
It's been so long...It's been so long...
Unlock this door...Set me free

Miracle

Many roads Ive travelled
And faces Ive seen
Each tells a story
Of what might have been
A missed golden moment
But life still remains
A search for the innocence
Somehow we lost on the way
And we all need a miracle, that I truly believe
Yes we all need a miracle, and I believe my miracle is you
Now the silence that follows
The last curtain call
I dont know anyone
Who has come through it all
You gave me direction
A part in your cast
No longer make believe
Now that I know it will last
Cos we all need a miracle, that I truly believe
Yes we all need a miracle, and I believe my miracle
And I believe my miracle
I believe my miracle
Yes I believe my miracle is you

My Oh My Its A Miracle

My oh my its a miracle
Good morning love
Rise and shine
Its a beautiful day
And I feel fine
Come watch the sun light the sky
And sip a coffee you and i
Wont you give us a kiss now
Perchance a little more
No dont mind that witch
Peeking out next door
I feel like a lark sitting high up a tree
Whats just another day to one man
Is a miracle to me
My oh my its a miracle
(a miracle to me)
My oh my its a miracle
(its a miracle)
All the whinning all the worry
All the fast friends and the fury
Oh dear lord
All the madness that used to move me
Simply dont behoove me
No more
Yeah let it rain let is shine
If I got you I got mine
Oh well hello sweet sanity
Im alive and Im smilling
And thats a miracle to me
My oh my its a miracle
(a miracle to me)
My oh my its a miracle
Now good morning love
And how are you
Does your old man seem
A bit too chearful to be true
Excuse me if I shed a little tear joyfully
But when your hands in my hand
Yeah when a woman really loves a man
Its a miracle to me
My oh my its a miracle
(a miracle to me)
My oh my its a miracle
(its a miracle)
Im ten miles high its a miracle
(Im ten miles high its a miracle)
Look at my life its a miracle
(its a miracle)

Where I'm In FAITH!

Within a place that creates completeness in oneself,
a place that needs no obstacles,
a place that needs positive reaction,
negative resolution, and stressful elimination:
powers within oneself to have faith
in the faith G-d has for me.
Seeking a miracle is a waste of my time
for the miracles that come to my life
are truly the miracles of creation,
creation of a strong black woman
who can make all things happen,
who can provide for her family,
who can live without the idea of dying
due to destruction seen before her.
I am a miracle in itself as are you,
our faith in ourselves will benefit us
more than the faith we have in what can be done by prayer;
having faith in what we can do to make our prayers reality,
many of our questions have answers,
having faith, and the courage to know the answers are a given,
we are from the breath of the almighty,
we are the world, we are what he has faith in.
Looking for an easy fix is the thought of an addict,
for I am not an addict for life, I am a solution for living.
Look within my eyes and see the miracle of creation,
copyrighted by God himself,
the creation of perfection in his eyes;
Life was given to us as a gift, as a lesson,
a learning experience
with that gift
we were given the ability to survive,
some survive some just live;
I am a survivor, a creation that makes me full,
full of complete joy for I am a gift to this world,
to myself, to nature, as the world,
and nature is a gift to me;
I am a child of God
with that I know my prayers have answers,
before I ask he gives,
he gives me the ability to be the strength
that you seek,
the power that you need,
the fullness of the empty glass,
the waters that flow, the air that blows,
the rain that pours, the heat that warms
I am a miracle, as are you,
see within your reflection
as your creator seen when he gave you life,
be strong, don’t blame, don’t worry,
do all that you can to make your life the best you can
for the faith that he has in you
can never be measured by numbers
the faith he has is you is much greater
than the faith you have in him,
for he is the almighty,
you are simply the creation!

The Guardian and BloodRose

BloodRose,
Rose of my love,
My love for Dark moon,
Dark as my heart,
Black as my soul,
And gave me my rose.

The rose of blood,
With petals soft and black,
Never as a rose so beautiful,
Grown not in light,
But under a dark moon lit sky.

Guardian,
Yes a guardian of BloodRose,
With teeth long and sharp,
Claws hard as diamonds,
Scales as dark as night.

My dear sweet guardian,
Guardian black as my heart,
Fire in your eyes,
Shadows in your soul,
A dragon of the dark moon.

A single rose,
With petals so fare,
As dark as my heart,
I now hold in my hand,
The rose of blood.

You are my darkness,
Fear of this love,
This love for you,
Love for darkness,
The cold shadows in my heart
That makes me yearn for you.

Now as you lay dying,
I hold a single rose,
The rose you gave me,
And as I hold it tight,
The thorns slice my hand,
Covered with blood,
My blood.

I have one fear,
The fear of death,
Symbol of my lost love,
Rose as dark as me,
Laying in a pool of blood,
Blood from me.

As I lay dying,
I remember my name,
BloodRose,
I am the rose of blood,
And I died of my own creation.

A creation of perfect beauty,
Petals dark black,
Thorns like small daggers,
Grown from my love,
My love for a dragon,
A dragon as dark as my heart.

Even in my death,
I think of you,
And the rose you gave me,
The rose that killed me,
The Rose of Blood.

Darkness Of...

Darkness is not the darkness of night
it is the darkness of mind and soul.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of discrimination between poor and rich.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of dishonesty.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of aggravate.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is darkness of corruption.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of indiscipline.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of animosity.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of inveterate.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of perjury.

it is the darkness that we all brought up inside us,

(Rose poems) Arise! ... oh rose!

Arise! ... oh rose!
The world may look cold
And aloof and unconcerned
And too preoccupied
With itself...
Arise! ... oh rose!
The world is the burning fire!
Open the floodgates of your love
And Holy tenderness and bring
Love to the world at war
With itself
Douse the strife of hatred with
The waters of your vast seas
Oh beloved and cherished rose!
Arise! ...beautilicious rose!
From the ghetto mansions of
Their degradation and the slum
Prisons of their humiliation
Bring the sweet scent the Hope of their
Emancipation oh sweet and lovely rose!
Rose of Pity and Mercy
Teach the world to make love
And not war
The nations wait for you to bring
The miracle of reconciliation
To them
Oh rose of friendship
Arise! ...unite the world!

Our Miracles

OUR MIRACLES

it is a miracle
when we wake up in the morning
with a smile to greet the morning sunrise
no matter our worries
and can end the day with a ray of hope
to bid goodbye to sunset
knowing that you have a great Provider
it is the miracle of life

you are not alone
you have the miracle of friendship,
love and working together
this is the greatest miracle
the miracle we take for granted

people who are humble,
who listen and forgive
looking at things and taking a fresh perspective
these are our miracles
the miracle of reconciliation

miracles happen everyday
you'll meet them everywhere
just look at the brighter side of life
and know that God is on your side
these are our miracles
the miracle of God's boundless and selfless love
