I, Alexander B. Campbell, make this statement of the cause of my death to relieve the coroner of the necessity of an inquest, and also let my friends know the motive that led me to take my own life.

Death - The Gift of Life
There’s nothing certain but death
Nor beyond nor before
We are born and live to die
Death the only gift of life
We fret; make noise, shout and cry
We skid from hills to valley and back
Get torn among home, work and friends
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life
We fight, we scream, we spurn
We step on each others’ toe
All to achieve and amass
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life
Walk we straight with pride
Look we people in the eye
Seldom do we stop and stoop
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life
We make friends, yet sly
Break hearts and water eyes
Too proud to bend or mend
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life
Each death promise another
Our last breath gives forth life
To another birth to die again
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life
Never can we live past in life
In death we reach the very start
From grains we come, to grains we go
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life

Autopsy and the Corpse
Coroner: This is very complicating and in the whole body music runs and
It takes couple of years to diagnose.
Corpse: It doesn't make any difference dear officer just sign and give so and
so died as the others.
Coroner: It's really difficult as the corpse still speaking and the music goes on
never stops it seems?

The Vision of Death
Many paint a
picture of Death.
They say that it
carries a scythe
and is a skeleton.
They say it comes
when murder or
fear are lurking.
Still, others say
that Death is
the way to
escape the tedious
work of life.
I say, personally,
that Death is an
important factor.
Without Death,
what would be life?
Boring and
useless.
Without trials
and tests of character.
Death is
the whole
motivation of
life.
Celebrate Death,
for it lets us live.
That is my opinion.
That is my view
on the importance
and necessity
of Death.

The coroner's merry little children
Have such twinkling brown eyes.
Their father is not of gay men
And their mother jocular in no wise,
Yet the coroner's merry little children
Laugh so easily.
They laugh because they prosper.
Fruit for them is upon all branches.
Lo! how they jibe at loss, for
Kind heaven fills their little paunches!
It's the coroner's merry, merry children
Who laugh so easily.

Job
All I know to do is work
Dress myself in the morning
And go to that place
I am a gardener
I mow the lawn
I plant the plants
I watch your wife sunbathing
I sip your tea
How sweet it is...
All I know to do is work
Put on my uniform
And drive the streets
I am the law
I keep a careful eye
I nip trouble in the bud
I bring your daughter home
I drink your tea
How sweet it is...
All I know to do is work
Wrap my white coat around me
And go to work on you
I am the coroner
I make the cuts
I weigh the organs
I report on what really killed you
I drink your tea
How sweet it is
How sweet life is
From time to time...

Friends
Words and music by Andy Summers
I likes to eat my friends and make no bones about it
I likes to eat my friends, I couldn't do without it
Ain't a man or poet, friend, I know just how you'll taste
Your limbs go sliding down my throat and never go to waste
Your death, of course, will sadden me, until I grok your essence
I know your life was not in vain when digestion is commencing
Consider this a celebration and the deepest pact of friends
And I hope that you will dine on me when I come to an end
(ah....)
Even friends may come to you with a new found revelation
But think of it as life renewed and not their termination
"To know you is to eat you" should be the code of lovers
Death brings the highest act of love preserved for one another
(ah....)
People say that what you are is only what you eat
And my friends become a part of me, oh well it's then that life's complete
To know you is to eat you, the act of love supreme
Each one of us inside himself can appetise the dream
(ah....)
(to fade

The abandoned Mortuary, Coroner and Corpse's Post-Mortem
Among the pale walls of the old mortuary the mysterious inquest goes on.
Corpse: 'Sir, your odoriferous tincture is very strong and please dilute the mixture as I get a severe pain in my liver.'
Coroner: 'Hey! Mr.Serious Alcoholic your liver has already damaged and are you still living? '
Corpse: 'Yes Sir, poor man never dies as he has to suffer a lot.I swept all the dirty & stinking roads of the puritan politicians and in gratitude they offered me the cheap liquor. My entire sand castles washed & vanished by the cruel waves of life. Please do not let them know that I am still breathing and much appreciation if you could bury me alive before I die.'
* I wind up this scribbling to my far away dreamlike friend Denis.Joe O'Driscoll via Kremlin drive, Tuebrook and Liverpool where the comfortable omnipotent Queen resides in the United Kingdom.

I don't have to be like the rest
My dad is an alcoholic, and he hides it well
Thrown up against the wall, not knowing my last breath
My dad is an alcoholic, and he hides it well
I cut to relieve pain
They sent me to a 'loony bin'
I cut to relieve pain
My mom is never home
No clue when my next meal is
My mom is never home
My friends have all betrayed me
But I'm not complaing
My friends have all betrayed me
Everyone around me abuses drugs
Am I the only normal one?
Everyone around me abuses drugs
I DON'T have to be like them!
I will be the first to graduate highschool and go somewhere
I DON'T have to be like them!
I have goals in life, that soon will be complete
I will finish highschool, get a career, and have a family
I have goals in life, that will soon be complete

As soon as you judge communication a little more rigorously, there is a possibility that the message will not be democratized. I have to say what I believe to be right. I have to spread out the statement among all the means of expression available to us at present.

O' Death
O' Death, why have you taken everything I loved,
O' Death, why do you keep taking my friends.
O' Death, why do you always stand at my side,
O' Death, why don't you release me when angels are calling me to heaven,
O' Death, why do you always leave me behind.
O' Death, can't you take me away from this accursed place,
O' Death, you don't hold any fear for me,
O' Death, you have seemed to be stalking me all life,
O' Death, I have grown so old yet you still spare me,
O' Death, can't you take me to the land of eternal peace.

To Pee and Review
On the surface,
We are close!
Friends mostly,
Out of necessity!
And for years...
It has been like this.
Our different points of views were missed!
Adrift in the air somewhere!
Caring...
Out of necessity.
Sharing...
Out of necessity.
Nudging each other to prejudge another!
Out of necessity!
And today our depths of thought,
Are on levels distant from seeing eye to eye.
Remember when we tried that...?
And I made you cry because 'you' asked for honesty?
And I didn't lie,
I was always me!
Believing we had each other's back!
And when you did that,
I was caught off track.
In fact...
I knew then we were in separate 'stations'
Traveling in the same direction,
But on different schedules!
Somehow...
We didn't allow each other a 'pitstop'!
To check things out!
'To pee and review'!
Getting real with our findings.
To return to discuss them with each other!
'Can we do that now? '
Where should we start?
We can either begin this ride together...again!
But this time,
Let's not take the scenic route!
That way didn't do anything for either one of us!
A memorable 'trip' requires the kind of adventure,
We obviously didn't share!

Meaning
The meaning of life
Is truly unimportant.
Finding the answers
Will not remedy sorrows
Or relieve distress.
It will not give us insight
Or greater purpose.
If anything, that meaning
Will just make us more confused.
Note: According to Webster's Dictionary circa 2009, the meaning of life is: 'A state after birth that precedes death.'

Disingenuousness
Here lies another box for nature,
Carbon ready;
Black to eyes down here,
Where death is at its job.
Up there you’ll hear a rhythmic sob
Or two from living yet-to-dies –
A humming lacrimoso –
It all but cleans the eyes:
Forget it –
The dismal show of grief –
Life is only chemistry –
Our stay is only brief.
It’s we who hype it up!
Diaphragms jerk again;
The jet monotone of hearses
Feeds the disingenuousness
Of undertakers –
They seem to stare at something up ahead –
For them, it’s in the blood,
To taxi off the dead.

Much Like Birth, Death Can't Be A Pretty Sight
Sitting alone
Being alone is not so bad
Unless you can't stand yourself
I imagine this happens, often
But I don't mind me
When you are alone you think about life
When you think about life you think about death
They say you're born alone, you die alone,
I do hope so
I like being alone

The fact that a player is very short of time is, to my mind, as little to be considered an excuse as, for instance, the statement of the law-breaker that he was drunk at the time he committed the crime.

The One With Heaps Of money
The one with heaps of money his or her friends in numbers grow
And the pauper is the person only the kind of heart wishes to know
And money speaks more of one than words can ever do
And if you are short of money I can only pity you,
That money speaks every language is something you ought not doubt
And those who battle to survive know what the hard life's about,
It is a necessity of life despite what some do say
That's why people to earn money go to work every day
In the poor suburb of the city where poverty is rife
The poorest and the homeless live a miserable life
If they had heaps of money how different life for them would be
That money is most important no need for to tell me,
Why paupers do have few friends no need to wonder why
And those with heaps of money their friends in numbers multiply.
