I've had a very good career and I'm grateful that the public has had some level of acceptance and appreciation of my work.

My belief is the majority of people in politics are just interested in pursuing this career in politics, and doing what's necessary to get themselves re-elected. And if that happens to coincide with the public good, great. But if it doesn't, the public good loses out.

Thanks!

Thanks for all your appreciation
I value it alot
Normally no-one cares
And they all just call me a swat

Thanks for all your appreciation
It's boosted my confidence
Poems are my passion
And stop me putting up a fence

Thanks for all your appreciation
You helped me see sense
Thank you so much
Because most people are against

Thanks for your appreciation
You're the only ones who care
I now beleive in myself
I really do, I swear

Thanks for your appreciation
It really is appreciated
And once again
Thanks to you all
For being so updated

Be Greatful

Be grateful to your creator
For he is your maker
Ungratefulness comes from
Greediness and selfishness
Ungrateful people are evil
It is the act of the devil
Be grateful
Instead of being scornful
Ungrateful people
Hate to show appreciation
For their life
Is full of illusion
Be grateful to your creator
For he is your maker

No One Questioned the Reek

When behavior they 'then' expressed,
Was not addressed...
But to some questionable?
Those of responsibility could have stood up,
To the plate.
No one did this.
But many bit down to chew!
And...
Instead,
An appreciation for that was shown.
With a bowing to lower eyes and heads.

Mixed signals were sent.
And deceit and devilment...
Were given carte blanche signals,
Not to slow down with caution...
But to move like blinded bulls,
Charging through halls...
Where precious crystal and china were used.
And no one confused a 'no' with a 'go'!
In fact...
Honors were given.
And some medals bestowed.

Some folks were given carte blanche signals.
For more of this to be exposed.
And it showed.

And they did...go!
Taking 'everything' with them,
To an humongous cellpool!
A deepened hole...
Where rooms were added.
And pretensions glowed!

With a renovation to extend the existing stench.

Guests were invited and asked to adorn masks.
No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

And it did!
No one hid.
Deceit was done,
And everyone told...
Their bigger 'fibs'.

But...
No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

And it did!
No one hid.
Deceit was done,
And everyone told...
Their bigger 'fibs'.

And...
No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

No one questioned.
No one questioned.
No one questioned the reek.

Unintending To Be Perceived As Offensive

I accept with appreciation,
Compliments from others.
Who become aware of my attempts.

Sometimes I wish,
I could express more enthusiasm.
To show such thankfulness for such gifts.

And this I've done for many years in my routines.
With a doing done I do,
In a process that of my creation sees.

I accept with appreciation,
Compliments from others.
Who become aware of my attempts.

Sometimes I wish,
I could express more enthusiasm.
To show such thankfulness for such gifts.

And I do say, 'Thank you.'
Since I am grateful for the attention my gifts get.
Although I consider myself an 'elf' sometimes,
Just doing my part as God's work in progress.

With a doing at times God knows,
Can be a bit mischievous with a willingness unintending.
To be perceived as offensive when that deed I do gets done.

There is accolade
For good work
For public welfare.

For welfare
Short or long
Does not matter

And you are there

Your Work Ethic

I thought you wanted a career
It turns out you only wanted paychecks
You can't find work sitting on your rear
I thought you wanted a career
That you may never work, is a real fear
Your work ethic continues to perplex
I thought you wanted a career
It turns out you only wanted paychecks

I Owe Who I Am to You

How grateful I am,
To have lived.
And You have allowed it.

To experience seasons,
With changes that exist.
In an acceptance,
Of Your offerings...
That come and go,
To be as is.

And to be able to express this...
In a completedness,
I do not resist.
With an acknowledgement,
My life on Earth without You...
Would leave me less blessed,
And prehaps without gifts.

How grateful I am,
To have lived.
And You have allowed it.
To lead me to learn and to grow.
Knowing I owe who I am to You!

You just have to keep trying to do good work, and hope that it leads to more good work. I want to look back on my career and be proud of the work, and be proud that I tried everything. Yes, I want to look back and know that I was terrible at a variety of things.

Let Me Help You...

You can't do this work alone!
So, let me help you to use it well;
For, you need to present this work to the public! !
And, it should be nicely presented to attract the public.
Well used,
Well presented,
Pursuit it with the sweet muse of your love!
And, let me help you present this work nicely to the public;
For, this is your only opportunity at hand.

Whatever It Is

Whatever It is that I am thanking...
And however It knows what It does.
I am grateful to have It know my existence!
Grateful that It enters my heart and my soul,
Grateful that It knows!

Whatever It is that forgets and forgives...
And removes stumbling blocks from my life as I live.
Whatever It is before language came to be,
In my mind I carry It...
And in 'It' It carries me!

Whatever It is that I am thanking...
And however It knows what It does.
I am grateful to have It know my existence!
Grateful that It enters my heart and my soul,
Grateful that It knows!

Grateful It knows whatever It is...
So grateful It knows It within me grows!

Grateful

I carry you up in my arms
Hear you sing yourself to sleep
The sky opens up over your room
You sail into your moonlight dreams
Theres so much more than we can see
Theres so much more than we can see
All we are and all we need is
All we are and all we need is
All we are is all we need to be
Grateful, oh grateful
Grateful, oh grateful
I play this guitar, sing these songs
It changes me, instantly
Love is too simple a word
For here comes the sun in the morning
Suddenly happiness
Comes rolling out from inside me
All we are and all we need is
All we are and all we need is
All we are is all we need to be
Grateful, oh grateful
Grateful, oh grateful
I carry you up in my arms
Hear you sing yourself to sleep
The sky opens up over your room
You sail into your moonlight dreams
Theres so much more than we can see
Theres so much more than we can see
All we are and all we need is
All we are and all we need is
All we are is all we need to be
Grateful, oh grateful
Grateful, oh grateful
(all we are and all we need is)
(all we are and all we need is...)

Only The Ones Who Continually Count Their Blessings

Why is it when one is young,
Aging is something believed...
No one wants to get done.

I've had my share of bouts with doubts.
Praying my advancing age...
Would not be so obvious.
Or in public be announced,
To be shouted out.
As I made attempts not to appear,
Like I was not experiencing a mid-life crisis.

But,
I've earned this.
I had to awaken to admit it!
I've EARN THIS!
Every bit of it and proud.

I have managed to do some things I dared.
With challenges and obstacles,
To prove a faith had pulled me through...
Mucho grief!
With just some of it shared.
Not all.
I don't want to scare the few people I know,
Away!
There's already been an acceptance,
Of my mentioned dysfunctions.
Why blow it on a 'show and tell' demonstration?
Some boundaries should be kept limited.
And imagined.

Why is it when one is young,
Aging is something believed...
No one wants to get done.

I've had my share of bouts with doubts.
Praying my advancing age...
Would not be so obvious.
Or in public be announced,
To be shouted out.
As I made attempts not to appear,
Like I was not experiencing a mid-life crisis.

I use to fear aging before I understood it.
Only the ones who continually count their blessings,
Can appreciate a few aches and pains...
And associate 'that' with being grateful to feel them.

Only the ones who continually count their blessings,
Can appreciate a few aches and pains...
And associate 'that' with being grateful to feel them.

And I'll keep that repeated to myself,
As a reminder.
Sometimes this self motivation business,
Does get old and tired.
But a blessing to live to get done.

You never know who's listening,
When confessions are being made.

Peer Pressure, Identity, and Acceptance

Just not fitting in
Where's those people?
Is there anyone like me?
Am I supposed to be like them?
Just not fitting in

I want acceptance they don't want me
They want me to compromise
This isn't who I am
Who am I anyways?
It's only temporary.... right?
I can't lose myself cause I'm....well I'm me

I need acceptance they're like a distant dream
They're staring right through me
They're speaking to me out of sympathy
They see through my act
They see.... no they couldn't
Who are they anyways?
I guess I'll call them..... well, they're friends
They're all I got

I crave acceptance
The pangs of loneliness
No it's not that
Not quite
As much as I crave acceptance
I think deep down
I don't want to have to change
I think deep down
If I could speculate about myself
Deep down I want to be me
But who.... who am I? I can't remember or maybe....
Maybe there's nothing to remember

Just fitting in
Has changed me
Where can I get real acceptance
Would anyone just care about me even knowing that I was me?
I can't even love me, I don't want to feed me, I don't want to help me
Why would they?
Is there anyone who'd just want me, even if they knew it was me?

Acceptance
It's not just a commodity, it's a necessity
So I found acceptance
It took my life but I'd gladly give it up again
It's better that I no longer live
Well in the my old definition of life
This.... this is life
It's acceptance

I found acceptance with the one I deserved it from the least
Someone I never did anything for
One of my greatest enemies
That's why this acceptance
This forgiveness
This love
Changed me
From the inside
Out

I think I found part of me, I must show my friends
Or that's what I thought
Because the cruel reality of the world is that it
Denies us that one thing that we need to survive that one thing we crave
Acceptance
When I told them He loved me
I lost what little friends I did have
But I have more than I've had
Because I have

Acceptance
