Always seek the refuge of the truth

You can neither touch it nor feel it,
Unless you peel the cover of falsehood off,
For 'falsehood is bound to perish by nature, '
And then you will get the truth with all its might,
Howsoever dark the night is,
A glow warm ends its monopoly,
Likewise a small truth challenges
The mighty empire of falsehood,
So never rely on falsehood,
And always seek the refuge of the truth.

Incorrect Speaking

Incorrectness in your speech
Carefully avoid, my Anna;
Study well the sense of each
Sentence, lest in any manner
It misrepresent the truth;
Veracity's the charm of youth.

You will not, I know, tell lies,
If you know what you are speaking.
Truth is shy, and from us flies;
Unless diligently seeking
Into every word we pry,
Falsehood will her place supply.

Falsehood is not shy, not she,-
Ever ready to take place of
Truth, too oft we Falsehood see,
Or at least some latent trace of
Falsehood, in the incorrect
Words of those who Truth respect.

Unpleasant News

At a same time
Same place
The Opposite entities
Can't exists.

Falsehood is in reality
It is true.
And the truest of all is that
Truth can't be false.

Same time
Same place
Both can't exist.
Either truth
Changes into falsehood
Or falsehood
Changes into truth
Both are dangerous for us
And not a pleasant news.

Eugene O'Neill

I listen to people talking about this universal breakdown we are in and I marvel at their stupid cowardice. It is so obvious that they deliberately cheat themselves because their fear of change won't let them face the truth. They don't want to understand what has happened to them. All they want is to start the merry-go-round of blind greed all over again. They no longer know what they want this country to be, what they want it to become, where they want it to go. It has lost all meaning for them except as pig-wallow. And so their lives as citizens have no beginnings, no ends. They have lost the ideal of the Land of the Free. Freedom demands initiative, courage, the need to decide what life must mean to oneself. To them, that is terror. They explain away their spiritual cowardice by whining that the time for individualism is past, when it is their courage to possess their own souls which is dead — and stinking! No, they don't want to be free. Slavery means security — of a kind, the only kind they have courage for. It means they need not to think. They have only to obey orders from owners who are, in turn, their slaves!

The honest liar

1. I have to tell you that
In the last conversation we had
All I told you were lies
And with all honesty now
I am telling you
That I am a liar.

2. When you asked me
Whether I am dying
I told you I am not
But I have only
A month to live
That is the truth
But look
I am not responsible for you
I am the one
That is dying here.
It is not you.

3. When we speak
I do not demand that
You tell me the truth
We are talking
Because we are here
What you say to me
Is none of my business
To require that you tell
Me the truth
Is in fact, an overburden
Our agreement is
Simple enough
That we just talk
It is nothing more
But a contract of presence
a conversation.

4. In fact what you say
Is the bonus
And it does not matter
Truth or falsehood
We just talk
For a while
While I am here
I am going somewhere
I am leaving
You will be left
And you still have
All the time to contrive
The choice is yours
I have none anymore

5. so that is it
Keep on talking
As I pretend I am listening
I keep on talking too
But my mind
Forgive me
Is somewhere else
You may not understand
It at first
But you will soon
Understand
This world is not simply meant
For one, for one like me.
Or for us.

6. at this stage
Truth and falsehood
Are irrelevant,
Out there
Is beyond truth and falsehood
It is our place.

Coffee Courage

The bitter coffee kicked;
I shook and then I licked
My lips and gave a sigh.

Shattered eyes encouraged,
I nearly had envisaged
Waking up an eye.

Another sip; a jolt –
Not unlike a bolt
Of wattage from the mains.

My sockets under strain,
I tried it once again:
Aha! The light, the searing white –
My God, the bloody pain!

Strong Courage

My courage is STRONG
It is the strongest people have seen in a while
The kind you rarely see

My courage is when I stand up to people
My courage is when I tell the truth and not be afraid
My courage is when I help someone and put myself in danger to help
My courage is not being scared of a risky task
My courage is speaking my mind without any worries
My courage is STRONG

To Admit You Are Wrong

To admit you are wrong should not be a sign of weakness
It is indeed a fortress of the strong
To swallow your pride of you does seem so noble
And to a rare breed you surely belong.

Just goes to show that you are not pigheaded
One brave enough for to apologize
To admit you are wrong it may seem rather humbling
But to a better self it does give rise.

To admit you are wrong always takes heaps of courage
To say I'm wrong should not be a loss of pride
To deny truth is more of a sign of weakness
Behind a falsehood one should never hide.

To admit you are wrong is nothing to feel ashamed of
To apologize should shows how brave you are
You are one not lacking in moral courage
And moral courage in life it can take you far.

Liquid Courage (2)

liquid courage you said
with a condescending smile
not understanding
it wasn't courage
but an expulsion
born of cowardice
the thought heartbreaking
the option breaking my heart
so I broke my heart
in a gasp
let my blood run cold
out to cover
my screaming mind
as something died

Conversation with an American Writer

'You have courage, ' they tell me.
It's not true. I was never courageous.
I simply felt it unbecoming
to stoop to the cowardice of my colleagues.

I've shaken no foundations.
I simply mocked at pretense and inflation.
Wrote articles. Scribbled no denunciations.
And tried to speak all on my mind.
Yes, I defended men of talent,
branding the hacks, the would-be writers.
But this, in general, we should always do;
and yet they keep stressing my courage.
Oh, our descendants will burn with bitter shame
to remember, when punishing vile acts,
that most peculiar time, when
plain honesty was labeled 'courage'...

The Peace I Seek

The peace I seek is not in time, nor space-
It is in this Father's contented soul, that will replace
The anguish I have felt for so very long;
This torment weakens a heart once so very strong-
Naught may be done to rid me of this pain
That I have not tried again and again.
My mission has been foretold and is Divinely Ordained,
Though my path has been muddled, my Faith has never waned!
To say that I am heart-broken though, only tells half the story:
I have seen with mine own eyes, its power and glory.
Words may not explicate the true depths of my sorrow,
Nor will they meet with reasoned understanding by tomorrow.
All that in which I once truly, ardently believed
Has been stolen from me-I was maliciously deceived,
Both by those I trusted, and by ideals such as truth and justice;
In a world where both are decided by those who bow to cowardice,
Deceit and thievery have been richly rewarded;
Though I fought bravely for same, I have not been afforded
One single, God-given right, supposedly 'guaranteed' for me.
I have bled for these rights-who bleeds for me?
How does this idealist reckon with his bitter duality?
I once held the vision and the dream, close before me.
How could I be so naive-as if my love could also adore me! ?
When given a choice, the meek shall indeed inherit the Earth!
I do not bow to cowardice, because I know truth and all it is worth.
It could be said that I have nothing,
Yet, in truth, I possess everything,
Because I have truth and courage, and that's all I need!
This is the message He wishes I heed:
The only things freely given, are of love born;
That absconded from us, we are allowed to mourn,
Yet, shan't cede to do contrariwise in return-
The truth is the only thing that we can ever truly discern!

In Courage

In courage-you find
no fear
and in courage-no weakness
does appear
In courage-steps toward
danger taken
and in courage-strength
within awaken
In courage- a hero
takes shape
and in courage- the villain
can't escape
In courage-there is a call
to duty
and in courage-out of ugliness
comes beauty

Quatrain #242 - The truth, the whole truth and.........

The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth is what the law demands
but then the law is based upon the truth by which is issued its own commands.
The truth is based upon Reality where there can't be any idea of falsehood,
Reality is in fact the Absolute or Supreme Being that is really all Godhood.
