Criminal
Ive been a bad bad girl,
Ive been careless with a delicate man.
And its a sad sad world,
When a girl can break a boy
Just because she can.
Dont you tell me to deny it,
Ive done wrong and I want to
Suffer for my sins.
Ive come to you cause I need
Guidance to be true
And I just dont know where I can begin.
What I need is a good defense
cause Im feelin like a criminal.
And I need to be redeemed
To the one I sinned against
Because he was all I ever knew of love.
Heaven help me for the way I am.
Save me from these evil deeds.
Before I get them done.
I know tomorrow brings the consequence
At hand.
But I keep livin this day like
The next will never come.
Oh, help me, but dont tell me
To deny it.
Ive got to cleanse myself.
Of all these lies till Im good
Enough for him.
Ive got a lot to lose and im
Bettin high
So Im beggin you before it ends
Just tell me where to begin.
What I need is a good defense
cause Im feelin like a criminal.
And I need to be redeemed
To the one I sinned against
Because he was all I ever knew of love.
Let me know the way
Before theres hell to pay.
Give me room to lay the law and let me go.
Ive got to make a play
To make my lover stay
So, what would an angel say?
cause the devil wants to know.
What I need is a good defense
cause Im feelin like a criminal.
And I need to be redeemed
To the one I sinned against
Because he was all I ever knew of love.
What I need is a good defense
cause Im feelin like a criminal.
And I need to be redeemed
To the one I sinned against
Because he was all I ever knew of love.

Have You Ever Been Broken Down?
I went into the world and it broke me down
And the lord of this world said ' now where's your crown'
And the truth of it was I had nothing left inside
I had no where to run, I had no where to hide
Somewhere along the path the night had stole my song
I had danced with the devil and right became wrong
He had gouged out my eyes and I could not see
I had hung my heart on the weeping willow tree
And in the blackness of the night I stumbled along
Abandoned and broken and without my song
The devil he danced and shrieked with delight
He was lord of the darkness he was lord of the night
I was tortured and tormented night and day
I was chained and whipped on my hell-bound way
And my tormentors they never gave me a moment of respite
As they tore at my flesh by day and by night
I cried out to God and He said 'Enough'
He came and redeemed me, He redeemed me with Love
And the devil and my tormentors they all did flee
From Christ my Lord on Calvary
He raised me up and He replaced my heart
That was His plan, right from the start
And by His mercy my wrong became right
And He gave me back my song in the night
I once was blinded and now I could see
What the Lord my God did on Calvary
And from that day on I walked in love
Redeemed by my Jesus who came down from above.

The Super Human
There once lived a great man,
That redeemed the hopes of all human.
He gave up everything,
For us to have something.
He was rejected,
For us to be accepted.
He was stressed,
For us to be blessed.
He was laboured,
For us to be favoured.
He was neglected,
For us to be celebrated.
He was condemned,
For us to be redeemed.
His life was destroyed,
For our lives to be restored.
His heart was sheltered,
For ours to be gathered.
He was agonised,
For us to be recognised.
He was disrespected,
For us to be respected.
He went through misery,
For us to have a long lasting victory.
In all reality,
He made us a celebrity.
He was punished,
For us to flourish.
He was abused,
For our enemies to be confused.
He suffered for a while,
For us to be able to smile.
He was tortured,
For us to have a great future.
He took away all atom of sickness,
Bringing to us much joy and happiness.
He sacrificed himself,
For us to be ourselves.
He died bearing the burden of our inequity,
For the betterment of the world of humanity.

I Can Only Tell You How Great The World Seemed (Rispetto)
I can just tell you how great the world seemed
and what at the time you had meant to me,
suddenly destiny at a time deemed
fit to unleash unknown pain and tragedy
from which you could not be saved, redeemed;
nothing could avoid coming calamity
claiming you to the cold and uncaring ground,
turning my whole world upside down and around.

Wayfaring Stranger
(traditional/brian ahern)
I am a poor wayfaring stranger
While traveling thru this world of woe
Yet theres no sickness, toil or danger
In that bright world yo which I go
Im going there to see my father
Im going there no more to ram
Im only going over jordan
Im only going over home
I know dark clouds will gather around me
I know my way is rough and steep
Yet beauteous fields lie just before me
Where gods redeemed their vigils keep
Im going there to my mother
She said shed meet me when I come
Im only going over jordan
Im only going over me

Ad Olum
CALL me not rebel, though { here at every word
{in what I sing
If I no longer hail thee { King and Lord
{ Lord and King
I have redeemed myself with all I had,
And now possess my fortunes poor but glad.
With all I had I have redeemed myself,
And escaped at once from slavery and pelf.
The unruly wishes must a ruler take,
Our high desires do our low fortunes make:
Those only who desire palatial things
Do bear the fetters and the frowns of Kings;
Set free thy slave; thou settest free thyself.

If I Had Words/ For The Colors Of Leaves
IF I HAD WORDS
If I had words
For the colors of leaves
Then I might be
The poet of trees-
But all these shades
Beyond my means-
The wonders of God’s world
Must be seen
To be redeemed.

Big Lover
Big lover
When I feel your love flow through me
Big lover
When I hear you whisper to me
Big lover
When I feel you
You were like every love Ive known
Spun into one - my mind is blown
You were like all my burnt down dreams redeemed
You know what I mean
Big lover
When I feel your love flow through
Big lover
When I hear your heart speak truly
Big lover!
You were a mystery revealed
A treasure trove too long concealed
You were like all my torn down dreams redeemed
You know what I mean
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love flow through me
Big lover
When I hear you whisper to me
Big lover!
You were like earth and fire to me
You were j-o-y m-a-g-i-c
You were like all my ripped down dreams redeemed
You know what I mean
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love
Im alive!
Yes, Im alive!
Im truly alive
Alive!

Redemption
I sit in a world that is my reality,
As I ponder the meaning of mortality.
It is my destiny it is my fate,
To leave behind this world of hate.
Today I wonder a world of perplexity,
Tomorrow I dance in a being of no complexity,
I will have no fear I will have no insecurity,
As I walk through the fields of purity.
I will leave all the hate and pains,
And I shall live in a world with no chains.
I will live in peace and I will live in serenity,
And I shall gain my full identity.
I shall not die I shall merely fade to a world of fantasy,
I will fumble with the perfect existence and living in a state of being like ecstasy.
I will dance with the stars and dance with eternity,
And leave behind all modernity.
I will be in peaceful being,
There will be no hiding and no more fleeing.
I will become what humanity has only dreamed,
From this world of sin and lies I shall be redeemed.

Redemption’s Testimony
Does my life bring evident reality, to the souls that need to see,
The redemptive work of Jesus Christ, active in my present life?
Do they see a change within, my life, knowing who I had been?
Knowing how I lived before, I entered through Salvation’s Door.
Am I truly willing to pay the price, to be for my Lord a sacrifice?
Putting all my wants aside, to serve The One, who for me died?
Willing today, to deny myself, to point others to Eternal Wealth,
A wealth they’ll not see on earth, until they experience New Birth.
Born through the Spirit of Christ, that day Jesus enters their life,
And they too, become sanctified, as The Spirit now lives inside,
Now, to dwell within their heart, while by God, they are set apart,
As His children, with me and you, to now, begin their lives anew.
A life we must let God display, within our lives from day to day,
Christ’s Love with His Grace, while He moves us place to place,
As we live life for God’s Glory, while living out salvation’s story,
As The Savior uses all of us, redeemed sinners, in Christ Jesus.
Redeemed from the market of sin, to live this life anew for Him,
To be redemption’s testimony, no longer just a religious phony,
No longer here to be conformed, to this world, but transformed,
As Christ’s Light to the world, with Redemption’s Truth to herald.

Angels
Angels rise to pure atmosphere
and call us to share
their freedom.
Hear how they sing
living spring
into our wintered world!
At last we rise
redeemed
to silver souls
in golden
light.

I Stand Redeemed
I stand Redeemed, for through The Blood of The Lord I was bought,
It was on The Cross of Christ that the war for my soul was fought.
He did not come for the righteous, but to seek and save all the lost,
His search did not bring Him treasure; instead it came at great cost.
The Lamb of God for me was slain and crucified upon a bloody cross,
Christ died for me, so that through Eternity I would not suffer loss.
The Son of God came to save but was mocked, scoffed at and despised,
This was by His own, lead by those who were wise in their own eyes.
When they were asked about Jesus, Crucify him! Is what they screamed,
Little did they know that through Christ God was saving the Redeemed.
He was lead to The Cross to die by men who were spiritually deceived,
But there were also men like Nicodemus who saw Christ and believed.
It was for the sins of His people, that The Lord Jesus was stricken.
And then Isaiah says that He was assigned a grave with the wicked.
It wasn't only for Israel He died, for on The Cross He took my place,
And all who like Nicodemus, can be saved through His Wonderful Grace.
Just as The Lord will discard all the wicked of the earth like dross,
The sins of all who believe are covered by The Blood of The Cross.
For ages the prophets looked towards a day of redemption and dreamed,
Now two thousand years later it's at The Cross that I stand Redeemed.

Nightmare
Nightmare
By: Adam M. Snow
We are but a dream for the dreamed;
only to realize that we have been redeemed;
to be hopeless nor do I be the same;
for in this dream, I have no name;
for my words remain unspoken;
when all I am is broken.
There's no darkness nor is there light;
for this world can be seen in daylight not just the night.
In this world the water is black yet the sky is red;
for we are all full of dread.
There's so much fear and agony here;
for it feels like our end is near.
Is this but a nightmare of reality?
If so this is brutality;
for I see the people stopped to pray;
'Have we lost our way? '

Today... 'Angel of God's Presence
Angels are servants the bidding of God they do
But the fullness of the Godhead was dwelling in You
The very Presence of God came to us on earth
when You entered into this would through virgin birth.
This poor man cried out to You from the miry clay
You heard my voice and came to rescue me that day.
Saved me from of the mire and wretchedness of sin
took away all my transgressions and washed me clean.
The Angel of God's Presence willingly came down
To save a wretch like me and wear that thorny crown.
You became smitten by all of my afflictions
and upon cross paid the price of my transgressions.
By Your great mercy You have redeemed back my soul.
Angel of God's Presence Your death has made me whole.
Now I can stand on holy ground redeemed by God.
For that Angel was none other than Christ my Lord.

Today... 'Brother of His disciples
Jesus' brothers and sisters and mothers are we
and born by God's Spirit into His family
through obedience and doing the will of God.
Each of us is redeemed by the blood of the Lord.
Part of His glorious body on earth are we
and we'll be One in Him throughout eternity.
This heavenly family is more like the Lord
as we reach out to others with the love of God
Against the very gates of hell the church endures
as the ages pass by and Christ's body matures.
A great multitude of saints are gathered above
all brought together by the power of His love.
Each precious member has been from sin set free
heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ are we.
All destined to be with Him in Heaven above
saved and redeemed by the power of His great love
