What generally happens in this county is that our politicians don't serve us well because they don't tell the truth, and they don't keep their promises.

Moon-the Cheat
Moon refracts light of the sun
Politicians scam the lucre of the public
Moon revolves round the earth
Politicians revolve round their chairs
Moon lets only a few gases to be in its sphere
Politicians serve only for a few terms
People have a conceit to homestead on moon!
With the same notion,
why don't they enthrone a liable wight?
Propter hoc, moon and politicians have the same background

The Carroll County Accident
Carroll countys pointed out as kind of square
The biggest thing that happens is the county fair
And I guess thats why it seemed like such a big event
What we all call the carroll county accident
The wreck was on the highway just inside the line
Walter browning lost his life and for a time
It seemed that mary ellen jones would surely die
But she lived long enough for her to testify
Now walter browning was a happy married man
And he wore a golden wedding ring upon his hand
But it was gone nobody knew just where it went
Hed lost it in the carroll county accident
Mary ellen testified he flagged her down
Said he was sick and could she drive him into town
And no one even doubted what she said was true
Cause she was well respected in the county too
Now I went down to see the wreck like all the rest
The bloody seats, the broken glass, the tangled mess
But I found something no one else had even seen
Behind the dash in marys crumpled up machine
A little matchbox circled by a rubberband
And inside the ring from walter brownings hand
And it took a while to figure out just what it meant
The truth about the carroll county accident
By dark of night I dropped the ring into a well
And I took a sacred oath that I would never tell
The secret of the carroll county accident
Cause the county ordered dad a marble monument
I lost him in the carroll county accident

10000 Promises
Once we were lovers, just lovers we were
Oh what a lie
Once we were dreamers, just dreamers we were
Oh, you and i
Now I see youre just somebody who wastes all my time and money
What a lie
You and i
Chorus
What about your
Your 10,000 promises
That you gave to me
Your 10,000 promises
That you promised me
Once I could handle the truth
When the truth was you and i
Time after time all the promises
Turned out to be all lies
Now I see Im just somebody who wasted my time and money
What a lie
You and i
Chorus
You say Ill take you back
But I close the door
cause I dont want 10,000 more
10,000 promises, yeah
10,000 promises you gave to me
Chorus(x2)
Once we were lovers just lovers we were
Oh you and i
What a lie

Whispering Promises
whispering promises is easy to
do
many times they never come true
the one whispering promises
is not sincere
playing make-believe with your
ear
lots of voices hum a tune
whispering promises forgotten
soon
truth is absent from the start
a game of words played with a
heart
lying tongues have a cruel bite
whispered promises in the night.

Promises
Remember how it used to be,
Remember how you promised me,
That life would always be good,
You forget the fact you lied to me,
You locked my heart and threw the key,
I'm so misunderstood,
What to say when all the words have gone,
Promises, promises,
What to do when all our thoughts have flown,
Promises, promises,
Remember how I gave my heart,
And all at once we fell apart,
Was I supposed to forgive you,
You forgot the fact you said to me,
That we were for eternity,
You're so easy to see through,
What to say when all the words have gone,
Promises, promises,
What to do when all our thoughts have flown,
Promises, promises,
Remember that I'm over you,
And know that I will make it through,
Hope you never forget it,
The promises you made to me,
Were really lies and fantasy,
Hope you come to regret it,
What to say when all the tears have dried,
Promises, promises,
What to think when all our love has died,
Promises, promises,
The promises we used to keep have gone,
And with them all the words,
That kept us both from seeing what was wrong,
The rest is silent, What to say when all the words have gone,
Promises, promises,
What to do when all our thoughts have flown,
Promises, promises,
What to say when all the tears have dried,
Promises, promises,
What to think when all our love has died,
Promises, promises.

Thank You For The Promises
Thank you for the promises we make
I know I cant complain
I think I did all right
No failures are in sight
Only now and then
Id like to reminisce
Do you remember when
Even if were angels we cant ask
To wander through the past
The future is our goal
The night is black as coal
If I could pay the price
Id like to love you once
Id love to love you twice
Thanks
We cannot say enough
The road is sometimes rough
But we can get along
The going will get tough
But we wont be afraid
Of the promises we made
Thank you for the promises you keep
When I am fast asleep
To be where we belong
Is all that I can ask
We can do it in the shade
As long as I have you
And the promises we made
Thank you for the promises we break
If you made a clean mistake
Well thats what loves about
No need to stand and shout
The truth is in your eyes
The answer lies within
No need to criticize
Thanks
For the promises at hand
The abuse that we must stand
Is often heaven sent
They may not pay the rent
You never can be sure
When promises get bent
Thank you for the promises that live
This is all that I can give
Forever in my mind
To leave the past behind
And seal it with a kiss
Forever in my soul
I will remember this

Orange Crash
Follow me, don't follow me
I've got my spine, I've got my orange crush
Collar me, don't collar me
I've got my spine, I've got my orange crush
We are agents of the free
I've had my fun and now its time to
Serve your conscience overseas (over me, not over me)
Coming in fast, over me
(repeat verse)
High on the roof,
thin the blood,
another one climbs on the waves tonight,
comin' in, you're home
We'd circle and we'd circle and we'd circle to stop and consider and
centered on the pavement stacked up all the trucks jacked up and
our wheels in slush and orange crush in pocket and all this here county
hell any county it's just like heaven here and I was remembering and I
was just in a different county and all then this whirlybird that I
headed for I had my goggles pulled off I knew it all I knew every back
road and every truck stop

I tried to win the nomination
For president of the County-board
And I made speeches all over the County
Denouncing Solomon Purple, my rival,
As an enemy of the people,
In league with the master-foes of man.
Young idealists, broken warriors,
Hobbling on one crutch of hope,
Souls that stake their all on the truth,
Losers of worlds at heaven's bidding,
Flocked about me and followed my voice
As the savior of the County.
But Solomon won the nomination;
And then I faced about,
And rallied my followers to his standard,
And made him victor, made him King
Of the Golden Mountain with the door
Which closed on my heels just as I entered,
Flattered by Solomon's invitation,
To be the County -- board's secretary.
And out in the cold stood all my followers:
Young idealists, broken warriors
Hobbling on one crutch of hope --
Souls that staked their all on the truth,
Losers of worlds at heaven's bidding,
Watching the Devil kick the Millennium
Over the Golden Mountain.

I can't believer this,
I can't believe,
I can never believe,
This is what they did,
Obviously they are insane,
To be lyeing and ruining,
This is the understanding,
In the awakening of my life,
This is the choice that I made,
When I serve my Master from heaven,
I can never believe this is what they did,
Obviously there is an awesome event,
Obviously I'm coming to understand truth,
They did all the bad that they did,
I can never believe it,
Obviously they must be lyeing,
I can see it clearly,
Truth will come and heal me,
That my every dream was to serve my heavenly Father.

Eyes Of The Truth
God! ask Government of her blindness
with the land possessed
fingers alone developed
the body happy of backward
and the death are dying
she must face it.
Ask justice of her untruth
Crowned as God
reversing lies and truth
dim thee always
the truth shall be thy warrant.
Ask politicians of date
with their still born promises
and great disappointment,
and leaders of self
here for mass stones
betrayal their logo.
ask streets lions
with powers unopposed
superiors is their subject
manipulating and threatening innocence
instead of security of light
the unexpected must fall it dawn.
Ask peace of her disaster,
bribery of her corruption
and jungle of her darkness
with their smiling faces
confess they must.

World Of Promises
They come from a land were the sun don't shine
running away from the cold
They travel so far in the name of love
hoping the dreams will come true
Walking the way through endless fields
trying to make it together
??????????????????
????????????????????
And they will give anything
just to be free from the pain
and they won't surrender
Living in a world of promises
Living in a world of dreams and hopes
Living in a world of promises
Lost in the city wondering why
no one will open the door
It's more to the truth than meets the eye
something they all felt before
And they will give anything
just to stand tall once again
and they won't surrender
Living in a world of promises
Living in a world of dreams and hopes
Living in a world of promises
In the tan of the nigh can hear them crying
out for a life to hol on to
Somebody knows were the answers lying
wait for your trails and don't let go
Living in a world of promises
Living in a world of dreams and hopes
Living in a world of promises
