Winning teams have the least amount of distractions. They have a really tight group of people working towards the same common goal.

Years ago when you'd go to a working group most of the people in the working group would be from universities. Now most of the people are from companies who are building internet products and care what the standards turn out to be.

I think we have a good team, but soccer fans will know that we're in a really tough group. The three teams in our group are really strong. The Czech Republic is a very good team, Italy is traditionally a powerhouse, and Ghana is one of the best teams in Africa.

Man On A Mission
I got a one track mind, my blinders up
Now all I gotta do is get up, go out an get her
Got the first step down, I know what I want
All seven senses tryin to deliver
My baby, let me fill you up inside (up inside)
Spread your wings an open wide (open wide)
So hot, so hot, so hot
Im a man on a mission, straight ahead
Lets talk, more action, with no distractions
Im all conditioned, is it alright
Go for the action, with no distractions
You get every inch, play splat an bone
And its all wrapped up in a tight little bundle
I got an open mind, do anything
I am aware the ball might roll or tumble
So right down to the bottom of the top (ooh ooh)
Im gonna get it all in one big pot (one big pot)
Yeah, she got, she got me hot
Uh, Im a man on a mission, straight ahead
Lets talk, more action, with no distractions
Im all conditioned, Im far off red
Lets talk, more action, with no distractions
Oh yeah, uh, I got no expections, so get on in the way
Only thing thats on my mind - ah, shes forgotten my attention
What you takes the real kind - aw!
(solo)
Uh! ah! come on, she got, she got, ah!
Man on a mission, straight ahead
No talk, more action, I got no distractions
Im all conditioned, what I say
A man on a mission, up ahead
Ah yeah, whew, my kinda action, aw, uh
No distractions, I got no distractions
No distractions, ah, no distractions, Im on a mission, whew, aw

In life it wasn't what you know, but who you know. I had people who were trying to buy teams and had they bought the teams, I would have gotten to coach because they wanted me to coach. But the people who have the teams hire their friends.

The Football Fan
They love their football team
their loyalty is never in doubt
they rarely ever miss a match
from the stands they scream and shout.
Even when the teams playing poor
and their favourite player is off key
that will never stop them from going
as the ground is where they want to be.
Football is always on their minds
they think about it night and day
non football fans think they must be crazy
watching men kicking a ball home and away.
Relationships can become strained and tense
as football takes the leading role
partners can become irritable and even jealous
when the fan talks for hours about a wonder goal.
The fan even dreams of football in their sleep
shouting out and butting the pillow with their head
they jump up and down as if they've scored a goal
and kick their partner out of the bed.
Yes the football fan is a breed apart
slightly eccentric and a thick skinned soul
when all that matters to them in life
is seeing their favourite player score a winning goal!

Up By Two Possessions
Up by two possessions,
In a heated competing session.
And the hope is to reach to the goal,
To keep...
A winning told.
And keep...
That winning bold.
You can't let moss grow under your feet!
And keep...
A winning told.
You can't stay satisfied and sleep!
And keep...
That winning bold.
You must push alibis aside!
To keep...
A winning told.
And sacrifice with a drive inside!
To keep...
A winning told.
And keep...
That winning bold.
Up by two possessions,
In a heated competing session.
And the hope is to reach to the goal,
To keep...
A winning told.
Up by two possessions,
In a heated competing session.
And the hope is to reach to the goal,
To keep...
That winning bold.
You can't let moss grow under your feet!
And keep...

You can't stay satisfied and sleep!
And keep...

For Friendships To Be Formed
They have so much in common they love to talk football
And big names of their favourite sport they do love to recall
Though not everyone in their drinking group barracks for the same club
Football the main topic of conversation when they meet in the pub,
Birds of a feather flock together as some do like to say
And that too applies to people or so 'twould seem that way
The one interested in art does not have one who loves sports as a friend
They would find each other boring why otherwise pretend,
For friendships to be formed there must be common ground
Amongst a group of football fans a tennis fan won't be found
'Tis out of common interests that the seeds of mateship are sown
Perhaps 'tis from there the saying was born that he or she is one of our own
If we all had the same hobby how boring we would be
Our different ways makes us more interesting or so 'twould seem to me.

Well, if you want to be an actor, move to a major city, either in L.A. or N.Y. and every day do as many things as you possibly can to reach that goal. But make sure that goal is set so high, that if you reach one-tenth of the goal, you've gone a long ways. Fantasize and believe that you could star in a 100 Oscar-winning movies, and just work for that every day. Let's face it, most people want to be actors because they want unconditional love and power and money and to be able to act out a character fantasy that involves themselves. So if one is truly honest about themselves in that way, then you're on the right path. If not, the process becomes convoluted. You have to go out grab it, and demand it. That's my advice.

Who Should I Write
When I want to write history
Apparently there are many facets that must be written
Side of the Master, winner of the war
Side of Mr. Small, who lost the war
But his position could be reversed
Mr. Little and Mr. Big winners who lost
Winning and losing in war is common
But the victim is always
the common people, who have sacrificed everything
gentlemen for gentlemen
or a victim of the ideas that are still abstract
the problem is not that common people
clothing, food, shelter
and education

Winning Side
It's the winning side
And everybody's cheering for the winning side
And the children leave their homes to join the winning side
And when Jesus comes He'll march on with the winning side
And we've got all the right answers on the winning side
And the guiding light
Whether wrong or right
And we have no fear
No we have no fear
Waiting for the sign
We will give our lives
We will give our lives
And I feel so isolated
It's so lonely here at night
I could almost feel you near me
I imagine that you're with me
On the winning side
We don't ask too many questions on the winning side
And I've got this strange sensation on the winning side
I don't recognize the faces of the winning side
And we all live here in cages . . .
Someone cried last night
And it made a sound
With my eyes closed tight
I hear everything
I can hear your voice
When I kiss the ground
When I kiss the ground
And I'd like to know you better
And I'd like to know your name
I could really show you something
If you give me half a chance
'Cuz I'm on the winning side
(Winning side)
In the sleepless night
When the blindness comes
Washing over me
Like a giant wave
On a sandless beach
Washing over me
I am proud to be . . .
And I'd like to take you somewhere
That you've never been before
And I feel so isolated
And I feel so all alone
Here on the winning side
(And I feel so all alone

True Action!
We are laborer,
Absolutely Pure laborer!
Then why, suffering, complaining,
On own stresses, about unnecessary sweats and toiling!
Work that must be inspired,
Where worker should never come to tire.
No exhaustion but the enjoyment while working,
And true nobler are enthusiastic about goal pursuing!
True Goal is not achieving the goal,
But striving to reach the goal is the real goal.
One should keep the goal to shoot at the highest emplacement,
So that one can enjoy his whole life without getting retirement.
Goal should be so high so that none can reach,
Why should ideal be kept so high so that it can’t be reached?
Striving to reach the highest is the moment where we grow,
Reaching the goal is the end of the goal, hence it will simply blow.

Distractions
What is this thing in life that persuades me to spend
Time away from you?
If you can answer this you can have the moon.
This is the place to be, anyway you can see
Theres a lovely view.
Why are there always so many other things to do?
Distractions, like butterflies are buzzing round my head,
When Im alone I think of you
And the life wed lead if we could only be free
From these distractions.
The postmans at the door
While the telephone rings on the kitchen wall,
Pretend were not at home and theyll disappear.
I want to be with you, tell me what I can do,
Nothing is too small
Away from all this jazz we could do anything at all.
Distractions, like butterflies are buzzing round my head.
When Im alone I think of you
And the things wed do if we could only be through
With these distractions.
Ill fond the peaceful place far a way from the noise of a busy
Day
Where we can spend our nights counting shooting stars,
Distractions, like butterflies are buzzing round my head.
When Im alone I think of you
And the things wed do if we could only be through
With these distractions, like butterflies theyre
Buzzing round my head, when Im alone I think of you
And the life wed lead if we could only be free
From these distractions.
