The belief that we are what the media says we are, what people perceive we are, is soon to be what we think we are. We are treated based on this warped perception. It is hard to get away from it.

Perception
Trust and faith
in what I believe
comes to me
through all I perceive.
If I perceive myself
as free,
then that is what
I always will be.
If I perceive
that everything's fine,
then my perception
is a grand design
that takes me above
the chaos and fear.
It becomes nothing
to which I adhere.
If I perceive
that I'm in control,
then my perception is
a midnight's stroll
that leads me to find
great peace within.
It completes the perception
my vision lets in.

Because...
Because...
The sense you make,
It goes a little bit deeper.
Because...
You see defects,
And you are claimed tom peeper.
Because...
You do speak up,
And you know you can succeed.
Because...
Your mind's at ease.
You seem to reek of quality.
Some wont believe,
There are not too many people,
That are strong like that.
Some can't conceive,
There are not too many people,
With stress packed on their backs.
Some can't perceive,
There are not too many people,
Who will tell you where it's at.
Because...
The sense you make,
It goes a bit deeper.
Because...
You see defects,
And you are claimed a peeper.
Because...
You speak up,
And you know you can succeed.
Because...
Your mind is at ease.
You're not the one to beg on knees!
People might say some things...
Just to pick and irritate.
And then somebody comes along,
Who makes them player haters...
By the comments said and made.
Because...
The sense you make,
It goes a bit deeper.
Because...
You see defects,
And you are claimed a peeper.
Because...
You speak up,
And you know you can succeed.
Because...
Your mind's at ease.
You're not the one to beg on knees.
You're not the one to please another,
With lies to feed.
Because...
You're not the one to beg on your knees.
You're not the one to please another,
With lies to feed.
Because...
You're not the one to please another,
With lies to feed.
That's why they believe...
What you say they can leave.
Because...
What you say is not to believe.
That's why you're treated less than equal,
By your physicality.
That's why you're treated less than equal,
As some perceive.
Because...
That's why you're treated less than equal,
As some believe.
But deep inside of them your thoughts live and breathe.
But deep inside of them your thoughts live and breathe.
That's why you're treated less than equal,
As some perceive.
Because...
That's why you're treated less than equal,
As some believe.

To perceive means to immobilize... we seize, in the act of perception, something which outruns perception itself.

Wit's All Been Done Before
I wish I could, innovate,
And try to stretch your minds,
Cause often times, when guys like me,
Do that they leave themselves behind,
To clean a mess, or to impress,
A little bit of everyone,
But to innovate, is a mistake,
Cause there's nothing new under the sun.
Cause we're all getting tired of the media,
Cause it tries too hard to make you write something,
Cause we're all getting tired of the media,
Cause creating something new is just recycling,
Wit, wit's all been done before,
Yeah we do something to death,
Then we dig it up just to do it some more.
In all my lines of warning signs,
But not all with dead ends,
And I'm not sure if the clever words,
All sit well with my friends,
But I will not just sit and watch,
And me the victim fall,
I'll just have to do,
What my gut tells me to,
And hope that you will buy it all.
Cause we're all getting tired of the media,
Cause it tries too hard to make you write something,
Cause we're all getting tired of the media,
Cause creating something new is just recycling,
Wit, wit's all been done before,
Yeah we do something to death,
Then we dig it up just to do it some more,
Wit, wit's all been done before,
Yeah we do something to death,
Then we dig it up just to do it some more.
Originality is a ghost town,
And it's oh so hard to get to,
And waiting until, then people start to hate you,
You scream what you believe out loud in a crowd,
And they will hate you,
Cause repetition's just so safe,
And repetition's just like prison,
And I prefer to be out of place,
Cause I'm not really into prison.
Wit, wit's all been done before,
Yeah we do something to death,
Then we dig it up just to do it some more,
Cause we're all getting tired of the media,
Cause it tries too hard to make you write something,
Cause we're all getting tired of the media,
Cause creating something new is just recycling,
Wit, wit's all been done before,
Yeah we do something to death,
Then we dig it up just to do it some more,
Wit, wit's all been done before,
Yeah we do something to death,
Then we dig it up just to do it some more.

What Do You Really Believe?
It is a natural fact of life that we human beings believe in
one thing or another – either tangible or intangible
The belief system of individual is sometimes determined by
parental heritage, place of birth, religion and societal values
We all grow up believing in many things our parents believe in
By the time we finish high school, our belief system transforms
The transformation occurs through our perception of the society
as influenced by our daily contact with classmates and neighbors
By the time we graduate from colleges and universities
Our belief system metamorphosed to a new level
through our interactions and relationships with the society
What do you really believe?
It is a known fact that many people believe in a Supreme Being
Different names are attributed to this Supreme Being
The name varies from one geographical location to another
The name also differs from one religion to another
To several people, the Supreme Being in known as God
To many mystics, the Supreme Being is called Universal Intelligence
What do you really believe?
Numerous people believe it is allright to eat all kinds of foods
While some believe it is wrong to eat animals and animal products
These people called vegans say that all animals are our friends
Therefore, nobody has the right to slaughter their friends for food
What do you really believe?
Almost everybody believe in the power of money
to solve all their problems and end their difficulties
Some say, even if money cannot make you happy
at least, money will give you peace of mind
What do you really believe?
It is true that what we believe influences our overall perception
Our belief system affects our approach to work ethics
Our belief system shapes our attitude to friends and neighbors
It is right time to search your conscience and ask yourself
What do I really believe?
Whatever may be your beliefs, please enjoy yourself
because you may never pass this road again.

Based on Biased Physicality
Do not feel a need you can share with me,
That 'your' life sucks.
Or interpret your situation,
As a bonding mechanism in belief...
There is a commonness of a 'we'
Coming together in a mental rut.
Your reasoning and perceptions,
Are based on biased physicality.
If things were economically fine with you...
You'd have nothing to do with me.
And this is clear to me as it can be.
Do not feel a need you can share with me,
That 'your' life sucks.
Or interpret your situation,
As a bonding mechanism in belief...
There is a commonness of a 'we'
Coming together in a mental rut.
What makes you think your sufferings,
Can compare or identify with mine?
I've never found the time to whine and complain.
Or talk or laugh behind the back of anyone...
To perceive myself in a better place,
And I should put them to shame!
Does any of this sound familiar?
Your reasoning and perceptions,
Are based on biased physicality.
If things were economically fine with you...
You'd have nothing to do with me.
And this is clear to me as it can be.
Do not interpret your current situation,
As a bonding mechanism in belief...
There is a commonness of a 'we'
Coming together in a mental rut...
Because of the present economy!
If there is anything I feel you must know about me...
Know me not to ever be 'shallow'.

0978..... Belief Vs Trust
Belief is Doubtful, Trust is Certain
Belief is from Mind, Trust is from Heart
Belief is Lip Service; Trust is Heart Felt
Believe many; Trust only a Few
Believing is Easy, Trusting is Hard
Belief scores 50%, Trust scores 100%
Belief is Ordinary; Trust is Extra-ordinary
Belief is Start point; Trust is End Point
Belief is Limited; Trust is infinite
Belief is Shaking Hands, Trust is Embracing
Belief keeps Control; Trust gives up control
Belief is jumping opportunities; Trust is staying
Belief is not Time Tested; Trust passes Tough Times
Belief is Partial; Trust is Complete
Believe in Thoughts; Trust your Intuition
Belief in God is Attempting; Trust in God is Surrender
Belief is Important; Trust is Essential
Belief is Plastic Rose; Trust is Real Rose

Sought to See With Wishes Granted and Seen
I am indeed,
Not the perception...
But the belief.
I have been then conceived.
I have been freed of invisibility.
To experience and touch sensations.
Explore temptations and grow from them.
Not to become corralled or restricted,
Within barriars of sins...
Depicting those who are wicked.
Preached by those who pocket from such grief.
And cursed to smother under clouds of sorrow...
Are those who sermonize to lust and leech their evils.
What teachings would leave those to feel dark,
And gloomy?
To feed unlimited greed.
I am indeed,
Not the perception...
But the belief.
I am that spiritual connection.
Sought to see with wishes granted and seen.
Given touch to love and satisfy.
And I express these blessings with much gratefulness!

I like black people
I like black people, black people are pretty cool.
But the way they used to be treated was very cruel.
They couldn't eat in restaurants and they had to ride in the back of the bus.
White people should've treated black people the way they treated us.
It's nice to know that black people have come a long way.
Now it's possible that a black man may be the President of the USA.

Under Duress
It is getting increasingly obvious...
The difference between,
Those who are comfortable in their skins.
And those trying to fit in,
To get paid some attention.
Those attached to life,
From a perception of limitation...
Are made easy to believe,
A presentation that attracts...
The physicality of things,
Is how life should be lived.
And those faith based beings,
Seem to be spiritually encouraged.
They are the ones motivated first,
By an inspiration to create...
From a place innovation is born.
To allow others to plagiarize to live easier lives.
It is getting increasingly obvious...
The difference between,
Those who are comfortable in their skins.
And those trying to fit in,
To get paid some attention.
They become frustrated by another's success.
They believe they are entitled to be self centered,
With an expression of selfishness.
They perceive those homeless and hungry,
As the ones unlucky who became suppressed.
But the ones wishing to impress,
Are the ones self destructing...
From a lack of consciousness they do not possess.
Those attached to life,
From a perception of limitation...
Are made easy to believe,
A presentation that attracts...
The physicality of things,
Is a quality of life to live as addressed.
And if it is?
Why are people like this,
So unhappy...
With themselves?
And if it is the kind of life to live,
Why are people living lives like this,
Finding more and more...
Their beliefs being dismissed?
And they find themselves,
Living under duress.
Which is under the rest,
Of those historically oppressed.

Above and Beyond Self Examination
People reveal a lot about themselves,
If one listens with intention to pay attention.
There is a hunger to be validated.
And a need to be respected.
However...
Those who believe,
They can occupy air space...
And fill it to replace it with only their needs.
Or have hidden desires,
To have others perceive them living...
Without questioning doubts or insecurities.
People like this are in zones of denial.
Only flying with a wish to be seen.
And it is not difficult to dismiss,
Dysfunctions they spit from lips.
And people like these...
Will long live lifes mentally disconnected.
With a perception they are above and beyond,
Self examination or flaws they should address.

stand taller

perceive us
not according

Folks Are Just Folks!
black folks just like white folks,
gotta eat, sleep, need somewhere
to stay, need a job...
just want to be treated like people,
equal in every way....
and my Hispanic neighbors,
hard working, working together,
(we could learn from that!)
taking care of families...
human beings with human needs,
just like us....
Asians, Native Americans...
all just the same....
all of us just people....
want to be treated that way!
folks are just folks!

For whatever be the knowledge which we are able to obtain of God, either by perception or reflection, we must of necessity believe that He is by many degrees far better than what we perceive Him to be.
Doing One or The Other
Do not 'threaten' with promises,
To move and go away.
Do it!
Your perception will be enhanced.
You will know who misses you and why.
You will know the value of your opinions.
And that influence you believe you have achieved,
Over others?
Sit and wait by your telephone,
To hear how much you are endeared!
Do not 'threaten' with promises,
To move and go away.
Do it!
Your perception will be enhanced.
You will either perceive yourself,
As being an overused convenience.
Or you will quit leaving yourself voicemail...
To test an underused answering service.
Doing one or the other will snap you into reality.
And dramatically your thoughts will change.

The world we see that seems so insane is the result of a belief system that is not working. To perceive the world differently, we must be willing to change our belief system, let the past slip away, expand our sense of now, and dissolve the fear in our minds.
