Swimming is a confusing sport, because sometimes you do it for fun, and other times you do it to not die. And when I'm swimming, sometimes I'm not sure which one it is.

Your mind's ocean
Swimming away
swimming away
swimming away yeah
swimming through the deep blue ocean
nothing but red skies ahead
so put on ya hat and sun screen lotion
operation over cooperation
go swimming in your mind's ocean
The water so still
and the wind in motion
i'll be up and alive
before i'm down and moping
wake up in the water
before you drown
i'll make you want to smile
with my speechless frown
so put on ya hat and sun screen lotion
operation over anticipation
go swimming in your mind's ocean
Thoughts of doom and no hope
I'll dropp them in the oceans deep
To save my eyes when i grope
Dead to the world in this cool sleep
Swimming away
Swimming away
we'll swim all night
And walk all day
so put on ya hat and sun screen lotion
operation over destination
Lets go swimming
Lets go Swimming
in your mind's ocean

Does a Fish go Pee?
Does a fish go pee
when it's swimming in the sea?
Does it ever get the notion
when it's swimming in the ocean?
Does a fish take a leak
when it's swimming in the creek?
Do they do it in a muddle
when you see them in a puddle?
Does a fish ever miss when it's taking a @! &%
and they find urination
in the farmer's irrigation?
Do you think they're rather fond
of going potty in the pond...
and then, for goodness sake,
do they go while in the lake?
Do they tinkle at all
while in the waterfall?
Could you see a yellow gleam
as they do it in the stream?
Now take a little quiz:
Does a fish ever whiz?
Does a fish go pee
when it's swimming in the sea?

Pool Of Blood
I was swimming.
Swimming in a pool of blood,
That wasn’t my own.
I realised it was your blood.
It was your blood and it was my fault.
I didn’t mean to.
I didn’t think.
It happened and I cant change it,
But I’m going to drown in it.
I deserve to drown in it.
Don’t I?
It was my fault and nothing will change that.
So I’ll stop swimming,
I’ll drown and everything will be right again.
Everything will be normal.
Except, neither of us will be in the world.
We’ll be in this pool of blood,
Together, forever.
So, I was swimming,
But now I’m not,
And I don’t know why?

Under Cover Of The 'rain
Under cover of the rain,
it does this too you some times
and under it we are kissing.
I let you touch my face,
which like the tidal pool has expectations.
Your song of love, this song and does each lullaby
and the rain is quite never has it slept, this silent,
swimming pools, i and you look up.
Full the swimming pool which in the night
when the ground it shimmers and makes some other song
which sleeps as music under your pink tin roof,
some times i think you are eccentric,
but the water made in France is too expensive, love.

Swimming, First Practice
I went really fast
I realized
Swimming is my sport
I realized
I just have
to work at
it
I realized
That's where I
belong
I'm not there
just
for friends
I'm there for the
sport
and the
pride
and
the competition
and the
element
of water
and
the fact that
It's part of
who I am

On The Retirement Of Ian Thorpe
I heard on the radio in the sports news today
That Ian Thorpe the great swimmer has give competitive swimming away
A winner of nine Olympic medals five of them gold
Of his greatness in story and song we've been told
Australia's greatest ever swimmer if not the World's best
He was never found to be wanting when put to the test
But at twenty four years he said enough for me
At the World Championships and the Olympics him we'll never more see
At the prime of his life one might say a young man
But at top competitive swimming top swimmers do not have a long span
In the World of swimming he is an all time great
And his world Championship and Olympic victories Aussies did celebrate
A world renowned swimmer since he was a boy
And life after competitive swimming may he now enjoy.

Seven Oceans Of Pain! ! !
Swimming across the first ocean, i met my friend-tears,
he has been living there all alone for now many years,
he keeps count of all the little tears that i have shed,
on every tear, her name is tagged and my future is read.
Swimming across the second ocean, i met my friend-peace,
he left me the day my heart broke into million piece,
sitting on that island, he keeps the broken pieces whole,
and will hand over it to me, when i depart with my soul.
Swimming across the third ocean, i met my friend-night,
he lives there holding onto all my dreams ever so tight,
every dream showcases a portrait of my never ending love,
a love thats destiny seems to lie in the heaven above.
Swimming across the fourth ocean, i met my friend-smile,
he left me the day she refused to walk down the aisle,
he captures all the sadness that lies beneath my face,
and keeps them safely in my memories for me to chase.
Swimming across the fifth ocean, i met my friend-fears,
everytime i try to go in search of her, he just appears,
he stands in my way, with the sign that signals THE END,
for my heart is damaged way beyond any force could mend.
Swimming across the sixth ocean, i met my friend-time,
he seems to have deserted me after i did that crime,
a crime of loving someone more than what i could do,
now i'm just waiting for that portal to let me through.
Swimming across the seventh ocean, i met my friend-fate,
love is a hard journey, and not all can enter this gate,
in every journey undertaken the pain will always remain,
to succeed you have to cross this 'Seven Oceans Of Pain'.

there’s a warning commercial this morning
it flashed before my squinting eyes
toast rested on my surprised forehead
I’m swimming inside trouble’s stomach
and it got me wondering as I spin
if you were swimming in the same rut

Pisces Moon
Mastery of illusion and mystery of Neptune,
I become a mermaid by the light of the moon.
Yes, Goddess of the Sea,
I create a beautiful world when I dream.
I dream of swimming with my colorful scales,
through the green oceans I swish my tail.
Swimming with the dolphins, the sharks and whales too,
I swim following the light of the moon.
My emotions stir when I see a merman,
He is stranded on the sand.
I help by throwing him some seaweed,
I know this will save him yes, indeed.
Now we are both happy swimming out to Sea.

A Time For Swimming
When the day becomes hot and hazy
And I become tired and lazy,
All I can do is keep on reneging,
For the vast lawn needs mowing,
And the vegetable garden needs hoeing,
And work must come before swimming.
It seems that the grass has grown taller
And I get an immediate urge to holler.
Why can't I forget this awful dreaming,
That I was always on the brink of sneezing,
And constantly plagued with episodes of wheezing,
Until soothing in the water with ease in breathing?
The sun seems to quiver and know
As I think of the old swimming hole,
I rest my aching body and keep reneging,
Of course my work I am not shirking,
But it's just too hot and humid for working,
It's about time to sneak out and go swimming.
I notice the sun in the azure sky beaming
And again I catch myself dreaming,
As the perspiration continues dripping,
But my tasks have me outsmarted,
And I plod along slowly and half - hearted,
Thinking of the old gang going dipping.
I face reality and refrain from dreaming
And seek relief from the humidity with meaning,
And go to the swimming hole that is brimming.
Life is too short to constantly worry,
So why should I continue to be in a hurry?
It's summer and a time for swimming.

Concrete Girl
Bleeding thoughts.
Cracking boulder.
Don't fall over.
Fake your laughter.
Burn the tear.
Sing it louder.
Twist and shout.
Way up here,
We stand on shoulders,
Growing colder.
Laugh or cry.
I won't mind.
Sing it louder.
Twist and shout.
Immovable shadows.
The concrete girl.
They'll rock your world to nothing.
And they're swimming around again, again.
And they're swimming around
The concrete girl.
Catch your breath like a four-leaf clover.
Hand it over.
Scream to no one.
Take your time.
Sing it louder.
Twist and shout.
Nothing to run from is worse than something,
And all your fears of nothing.
And they're swimming around again, again.
And they're swimming around
The concrete girl.
Concrete girl, don't fall down
In this broken world around you.
Concrete girl, don't fall down.
Don't fall down, my concrete girl.
Don't stop thinking.
Don't stop feeling now.
One step away from where we were,
And one step back to nothing.
And we're standing on top of our hopes and fears,
And we're fighting for words now, concrete girl.
And we're swimming around again, again.
And we're swimming around now,
Concrete girl.
Concrete girl, don't fall down in this broken world around you.
Concrete girl, don't fall down.
Don't fall down, my concrete girl.
Concrete girl, don't fall down in this concrete world around you.
Concrete girl, don't fall down.
Don't break down, my concrete girl.
