The sizes and shapes of the panels have never been important to my stories. It has always been the words and images that drew me in, kind of like watching a movie.

Watching For Shapes
Written by ricky & marty wilde
Influences now are things that are all around me
Changing shape as they move around in an open mind
Coloured in by the images I find
Im just watching for shapes that grow
Im just watching for shapes that grow
(watching for shapes that grow)
Like electric sparks they danced by an open mirror
Closing doors never looking round but its not goodbye
Theyll be there till Im taken out I know
Im just watching for shapes that grow
Im just watching for shapes that grow
(watching for shapes that grow)
In my mind theres a space thats full of painted pictures
Things I did that I went through, but cant recall
Now and then theres a flash of the unknown
Im just watching for shapes that grow
Im just watching for shapes that grow
(watching for shapes that grow)
(watching for shapes that grow)
(watching for shapes that grow)

Watching a movie from beginning to end is like reading, because even though what you see are images, they are telling you a story.

McCornack Family
We all come in various ages, shapes and sizes
But more important we all tend to be civilized
Can one family be any better than another
It depends on how they relate to each other
As for our family we have always been blessed
That comes from leadership absent of distress
The McCornack family will always rise above
Because our principles are always based on love

Why God is So patient
god is so patient
because his one second
is the birth of a million million stars
a human's second
his creation of a million worlds
topped up with creatures
of all sizes, kinds and colours
the end for each world is
his mere three seconds
a time the sum of every creature
multiplied with the number of colours
sizes and shapes of ours

Beyond Words Beyond Images
it is ironic, these words claiming
that one day, these words will be beyond words,
that these images will be beyond images
that i will be like those who went their way alone
not befriending anyone but keeps on writing
in the middle of the storm
and cyclones and typhoons
and quakes and volcanic eruptions
beyond destruction, beyond words, beyond images.
smart man.

I know people watch our movies and they'll see a lot of images - they call it gross-out - that they don't like, and I understand that. It's an important movie and one that's extremely well done, but the amount of violent imagery was not for me.

Most politicians - those people who live, eat and breathe politics - like to sit around and talk about politics and tell political war stories. Reagan didn't do that. His war stories were movie war stories and Hollywood war stories. He loved that.

What I told you
I will be sad
Having told you everything
Those that I have weighed
And kept
Like my hidden gems
Yet I shall have no regrets
Some words are meant to be spread
And said
To please some lonely hearts
Though they may deceive you sometimes
Like mirrors reflecting mirrors
And you shall have a hard time
Pointing where I am
My words inhabiting
You like ghosts
They may stay inside you for long
Their dark colors
Their own shapes and sizes
Pointed, insistent and sometimes
Conspicuously hurting
You may return them to me
I am waiting and you shall be
Relieved and free

The balloon in the tree
There high up in the tree
was a bright Red balloon
how did it get there I mused?
Was it put there by a little boy
or did the wind pluck it from his hand?
it was stuck firm on a branch now.
When I came by the tree the next day
I looked up and it was still there
and it wasn't the only balloon
there was a blue one and a yellow one?
The following day the tree was covered in them
all different colours and sizes and shapes
the wind and rain couldn't pop them dead.
Every day more balloons were there in the tree
all different colours, shapes, and sizes,
the wind and rain wouldn't hit them at all.
I was the only person who knew of the tree
it became invisible to anybody else
the balloon tree was there just for me.
When a balloon died another took it's place
so the tree was always covered in balloons
throughout the years it stood proud and strong.
You may say I'm making this up or I'm mad
and there's no such thing as a balloon tree
but I know it's true so that's all that matters.
This is for Chloe, Holly, Katie, and Oliver.

Taking A Glance At You
taking a glance at you
is poetry in itself, by itself and for itself.
there are words in my eyes
they speak in silence. They long to tell you what i feel.
there are hands on my lips. There are fingers there.
They long to go near you and kiss your lips too.
i see you as words too. Your eyes are images of my
own happiness. Your lips are shaping the shapes of ships
and they have sails to take me away to ecstacies.
i feel you as words of love, and lust and desire insatiable.
my fingers want to read every syllable in your face.
you have always been my poem. And there are so many of you
in all of them.
words, and images, and ecstacies. faces and compositions.
i love all of them. And this time i take a glance again.
at you. this poem. this is you. Believe me.

Other Lives
It's just relaxing sometimes to watch others
with all your friends, relatives, and mothers
not worry about living my life with each care
but watching others, through love, betrayal, death and dare
It's nice to watch a story unfold
hear the stories yet untold
watch their loves on movie screens
even watching my peers- you know... teens
It's exciting to see their life and adventure
Enticing to watch how he falls in love with her
how evil is defeated, or how a science fiction makes us question this reality
all these movies, they help me see
see not only myself, but help me relax, because as i watch it's not me
when i watch all those lives and all those trials its not me
for a moment in time
I am not worried about my life but theirs, i live through they eyes
subject to their rhyme
see their skies
and not mine, sometimes this the most alluring
part of it all, watching someone else live on movie screen
its a beautiful thing
because it's not my life up there, i need not worry, not my scene

Silent Movie
(corky laing/ian hunter)
Well the school bell rings
I carried your things
Getting on the yellow bus
With the whole world watching us
And our love was like a silent movie
Aint got nothing to say
Our love was like a silent movie
I wish we could have kept it that way
Now the door bell rings
Im gonna get my things
Take another bright (? )
At the lions side
Cause our love was like a silent movie
Aint got nothing to say
Our love was like a silent movie
Thats the all-american way
Silent movie
And our love was like a silent movie
Theres nothing to say
Our love was like a silent movie
And thats the all-american way
And our love was like a silent movie
Theres nothing to say
Our love was like a silent movie
I wish we could have kept it that way
Our love was like a silent movie
Silent movie
Our love was like a silent movie
I wish we could have kept it that way
