The Closet
In the closet hung her dresses
and her shoes were on the floor.
She would not wear the dresses now
nor the shoes anymore.
He could not give her clothes away.
He smelled them everyday.
In the closet hung her robes
and nightgowns that were sheer.
She would not wear them in the nights,
her nights no longer here.
He could not give them all away.
He fingered them every day.
In the closet he felt close to her
and spoke in whispered word.
'I remember how you looked in these.'
He spoke as if she heard.
'I cannot give your clothes away.
They're all I have of you today.'

Black Jeans
Going somewhere special
Or just living an ordinary day,
Makes all the difference
Of what I wear along the way -
A wedding, or a funeral
It's all a serious scene,
No room for blue
Just got to wear my best black jeans -
Out on the farm
Or driving my old truck,
I'm sportin' my faded Wranglers
Or even bibs, like good ol' Huck -
But, when comes time
For show and shine,
I go deep in the closet
My pressed black pants to find -
They're the ones
That look best,
With my buckaroo boots
And Western vest -
Blue may be fine
For the daily, routine grind, but
Jeans of black are where it's at,
Whenever I'm headed out
Topped with my best, clean cowboy hat!

A Wing And A Prayer
I heard someone talking
about kids and what they wear.
They said they walk about these days
wearing nothing but a wing and a prayer.
I smiled to myself at that remark
because it was obviously they had forgot
about the clothes they used to wear.
So before we are quick to condemn
lets take a trip down memory lane,
back to the clothes we used to wear
when we were that age
and to the designs that were all the rage.
Suppose we go back to the sixties
now that was a good time,
the Mods and the Rockers,
scooters and motorbikes,
not to forget Flower Power.
Oh, yes I remember it well.
The drainpipe trousers,
sitting in the bath
to shrink the jeans down,
not forgetting the holy vest and long hair,
brothel creepers and winkle picker shoes,
and that was just the boys.
What about the girls with their skirts?
There was the maxi, the mini and the micro,
the latter once described as nothing more than a long scarf.
So before we condemn the youngsters today
for going around with nothing but a wing and a prayer, l
et us not forget what we used to wear.
I can remember my parents saying
your showing your knee
now that is so shocking.
Today people look at youngsters
saying it wasn’t like that in my day.
Don’t you believe it,
we were just as bad,
and we were just as crazy as kids today.
When it came to our clothes,
we have no right to condemn
for whatever they wear.
We were just the same at their age,
we used to wear
nothing more than a wing and a prayer.
We called it Fashion
way, way back then,
the same as they call it now.

Unforgettable Marina! !
Marina, my darling, you are a woman,
For you change your clothes often,
White sandy silver color with light green ocean border,
You do wear the saree of Goddess of education,
When the sun raises, the gold flakes sprinkles on the sand,
Gold border taken its shape with light orange strands,
You do wear the saree of Goddess of wealth,
When the sun starts to walk in the morning,
The bright red color spreads with energy and fun,
You wear the saree of Goddess of energy.
When the sun runs to seek his concubine in the moon,
You do wear the saree of grey in the afternoon,
When the people come to the shore,
And make up the design on your clothes,
You do wear the sarees of happy women in the evening,
Various designs, vibrant colors, different patterns,
Refined textures, sometimes soft and stiff,
As a woman before she is married off,
Sometimes, tired and soaked,
As a married woman, who is tired of,
Marina, you have made me to dream,
When I was a sparrow, looking through the leaves,
When I was an eagle, came out on Saturdays,
When I was a fish, swam in your waves,
When I was the dust, that stuck,
Under your visitor's feet.

Diamond in the rough
My teammates don’t know.
Surely none can suspect-
When I leave from the game
I don’t go home direct.
My lockers my closet,
And in it I hide
my alternate lifestyle
That some wear with pride
Reporters surround me
on the locker-room prowl
I patiently answer,
dripping wet, in a towel.
I’m a likeable guy
And I don’t duck the press
And they never suspect
How I look in a dress.
My lockers my closet,
And in it I hide
my alternate lifestyle
That some wear with pride.
I’ve been a star
in the City for years.
If fans knew what I’m hiding
Would I still hear the cheers?
Sure, you see me around
With a girl on my arm-
But if they want more
I back off in alarm.
It’s kind of ironic-
fans wish they were me-
Could they live with the fear
of chance publicity?
My lockers my closet,
And in it I hide
my alternate lifestyle
That some wear with pride.

You Wear It So Well
All of those things
Yeah, that you got to give
Yeah, you wear it so well
Hey, you wear it so well
All of those stories
Honey, that i know you could tell
Yeah, you wear it so well
And your face hides it so we can't tell
That you knew we would wear it so well
You wear it so well
Yeah darling, you wear it so well
(you wear it so well)
Yeah baby, you wear it so well
(you wear it so well)
Yeah now baby, you wear it so well
(you wear it so well)
Hey now darling now, yeah, you wear it so well
(you wear it so well)
All of those things
That make poets sing
You wear it so well
Yeah, you hide it so well
And all of those pain
That you used to tell
You hide it so well
Can't tell from your face that you knew it so well
Hey, now that you have such a story to tell
Yeah, you got style and grace and you wear it so well
You wear it so well
And you got, you got such a story to tell
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you wear it so well
Grace and style equals you so well
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you wear it so well, well, yeah, so well
Yeah, you wear it, wear it, wear it now, wear it now, baby
Yeah, now you wear it so well
And you got such a story to tell
(ooohhh, ooohhh, ooohhh)
(ooohhh, you wear it so well)
(you wear it so well)
(you wear it so well)

I Like Your Style
[kool keith]
Hey girl, swing it over here with your long legs
Let the master work, let the master flirt
Yes, you look good in that mini-skirt
I gotta tell ya, sweet and i can smell ya
Mmmm, what you wearin, liz claiborne?
Giorgio, or that other stuff avon?
You walk away, but love, i still follow you
And if i had a chance, i may swallow you
Chew you like doublemint, gum like spearmint
Juicy fruit, i'm a real live brother
Respectable man, talkin to you undercover
Watch, look, i like the way you smile
Yeah baby, i like your style
Chorus: {*singers*}
I like your style (so baby let me tell you)
I like your style (i really really want you)
Girl i like your style, the way you wear your smile
I like your style
Everytime i get with you you seem to blow my mind
I like your style
[ced gee]
Yo listen baby
It takes more than a boomin system
To turn my head, make me flip and listen
You gotta know how to walk, you gotta know how to talk
You gotta know how to stand, you gotta know how to smile
You gotta know how to wiggle, you gotta know how to move
Just to catch my attention
Now after that you gotta have a personality
I'm talkin class, not a skeezer's mentality
Know when to wear your jeans, how to wear your jeans
And where to tear your jeans, and when to keep the jeans
Hangin in the closet
And when it's time to wear a fly silk dress
You wear it well - i like your style
Chorus
[kool keith]
You cold mack at the clubs with your girlfriends
You ain't lookin for games or no boyfriends
A kid tryin to kick the dil-deally line
A fake rap or two, a hillbilly line
I get smooth and offer you a big drink
I like the way, you're pumpin in hot pink
Italian, black, you could be puerto rican
Yo give me your number, i'ma call you on the weekend
You got a head on your shoulders, plus i like that
You ain't no dummy no fool, i still like that
Style, body, you're perfectly fine
Remember kool keith, the man worth the while
Yeah, i like your style
Chorus

Lookism
Black hair,
Blonde hair,
Brown hair,
And blue,
Earrings,
And nose rings,
And belly rings too,
Skinny jeans,
Baggy jeans,
Purple checkered and
Colored jeans too.
Looks and more looks
Are everywhere you look.
Their on TV
And in real life.
They are in church
And on the street.
We’re always concerned with our looks cuz they are all around.
They define
Loser
And punk
To preppy and
Rich.
What you look like describes your personality.
But why?
If you where tight jeans why must you be skater?
Of if you wear your hair black,
Why must you be punk or Goth?
It is all just in our heads,
You can wear tight jeans and be Goth,
Or black hair and be prep,
Why are looks so defining?
Because we make them so.
Why do people do this?
Hell if I know.
It is all just a mirage.
None of its real.
So why are looks such a big deal?
Why do we try and make believe,
If you look like that then you must be this?
There is no point to this strange behavior.
So lets stop this lookism and just get to someone despite how they look.

The missing
I was missing...
I was missing...
At my self
I was missing...
Wear is i am...?
wear is i am...?
Asking for my mind
Any time...
I am missing...
For my sence...
Wear i am...?
My work...
my money...
my poem's...
my dayana...
Wear i am...
Wear...?
I was leave
At me...
But...
I was searching
For the world drama...
I was search
Wear i am...?
My answer is;
'Missing...! '

O’ Woman In Jeans
O’woman in jeans
you are modern
you are not bound in chains like
that one in saree
O‘ woman in jeans
you work and work
you don't need that multitude of suits with dupattas
few pairs of top and jeans is enough
O’ woman in jeans
you look more curvy more sensuous
even when you are fully covered
your hips your bust is far more powerful
than one in saree, in stiched suits
O’ woman in jeans
you can move you can run
you need no excuse like
that head covered women
you can thwart the attempts of rapist
O’ woman in jeans
you look sensuous
you look commanding
you look proud
you need not to play submissive
O woman in jeans

If I Had A Woman Like You
Orbison/dees
Hey young and innocent girl
You dont even know that Im around
One loving your world and he doesnt know what he has found
Oh, I need you so
But you wear a gold wedding ring
If I had a woman, if I had a woman
If I had a woman, a woman like you.
True, you love your man
You love him true like no one can
Uh, what I would do to be in be in his shoes but I understand
Youre beautifully bound
Tied up to loves silver chain
If I had a woman, if I had a woman
If I had a woman, a woman like you.
Twilight finds me alone
Midnight and Im on my own
I have numbers to phone but I dont have a woman like you
I dont have a woman like you
Lie, Id tell a lie
If I said I did not love you
I know very well why all of my dreams cannot come true
Here, I need you here
But you wear a clear diamond stone
If I had a woman, if I had a woman
If I had a woman, a woman like you.

The clothes you wear, the tongue you speak,
The marks you wear, the rites you do
Are designed to suit a certain section.
Those might irk others and you are helpless.
