She jerked away from me like a startled fawn might, if I had a startled fawn and it jerked away from me.

Startled Are Those Robbers
Startled are those robbers,
That had came to thieve.
Quite startled are those robbers stunned,
Begging for a forgiveness on bended knees.
And the hiding places,
Where startled robbers had once hid...
Are blocked to stop an entry,
With cracks and crevices from them now sealed.
Startled are those robbers...
Finding no one wants to bother.
No one wants to bother with robbers...
Chased away and startled by the mobs.

Fawn Ghazal
Inside a snowy blanket which put the trees to sleep,
I heard a fawn.
Out past the window's ice coat in the morning, I
found a sleeping fawn.
There are men in yellow kitchens watching hands of
brown-eyed women
while men in orange jackets dream in secret, of
capturing a fawn.
When I was younger I was taught, but have forgotten,
sweet timidity.
When I am older I will learn, by necessity, the
light-footedness of fawns.
Someone left a lily on my doorstep, eggshell white
with speckled leaves;
the card of introduction said the flower's name was
Fawn.
Sages wonder if it's possible for men to turn to
animals.
I wonder if they've pondered the agility of fawns.

The Swan And The Fawn
Finely Freckled Fawn called to Suave, Stately Swan,
“Please help me quickly. I need you to come on.
When I took a drink in the pond, what did I see?
But a poor little fawn drowning who looked just like me.”
Sir Swan explained “Be calm my dear and listen here.
It’s only your reflection.” he explained with affection.
“Each time you take a drink just think how you can smile,
As that pretty face looking at you is happy all the while.”
“Oh thank you Sir Swan.” said the grateful Freckled Fawn.
“All my fears and all my tears from now on will be gone.
Suave, Stately Swan and Finely Freckled Fawn are friends
Because of thoughtfulness and gratitude upon which friendship depends.

Pushed and Startled
Pushed and startled,
Out from the box.
Uncorked inside this bottle,
To try to stop...
A blowing of a top.
Some drag their feet,
Through situations.
Fearing to meet whom they may greet.
And hating to be seen alone on public streets.
Whether tripping in or out of secret disguises.
Pushed and startled,
Out from the box.
Uncorked inside this bottle,
To try to stop...
A blowing of a top.
Beginning a mind rot...
With an unforgiving steam screaming nonstop.
Pushed and startled,
Out from the box.
Uncorked inside this bottle...
That could blow a top,
To pop-aloud!
Pushed and startled,
Out from the box.
Uncorked inside this bottle...
That could blow a top,
To pop-aloud!
And beginning of a mind rot!

Brighter Is One's Life Turned On
Fawning over luxuries?
Don't you fawn.
Those luxuries one day will leave,
And everything fawned.
What will you do if they go?
And there's nothing left that's shown?
Only grief exposing life,
And 'things' gone.
Fawning over luxuries?
Don't you fawn.
Those luxuries one day will leave,
And everything fawned.
Hoping for a return for them,
Only makes a sadness deepen.
When it dawns to end a fawning...
Brighter is one's life turned on.
With a darkness by such dawning gone!

Characteristics Of A Child Three Years Old
LOVING she is, and tractable, though wild;
And Innocence hath privilege in her
To dignify arch looks and laughing eyes;
And feats of cunning; and the pretty round
Of trespasses, affected to provoke
Mock-chastisement and partnership in play.
And, as a faggot sparkles on the hearth,
Not less if unattended and alone
Than when both young and old sit gathered round
And take delight in its activity;
Even so this happy Creature of herself
Is all-sufficient, solitude to her
Is blithe society, who fills the air
With gladness and involuntary songs.
Light are her sallies as the tripping fawn's
Forth-startled from the fern where she lay couched;
Unthought-of, unexpected, as the stir
Of the soft breeze ruffling the meadow-flowers,
Or from before it chasing wantonly
The many-coloured images imprest
Upon the bosom of a placid lake.

Dear Friend
I
have searched for you.
Our hands almost
touching.
You
were violently jerked
away.
Floating into the sea
of life.
I miss you.

No one would choose to be jerked randomly off task again and again until you have half a dozen things you're trying to get done, all at the same time.

And sometimes you have to go above the written law, I believe.

Faun's Head
Among the foliage, green casket flecked with gold;
in the uncertain foliage that blossoms
with gorgeous flowers where sleeps the kiss,
vivid, and bursting through the sumptuous tapestry,
a startled faun shows his two eyes
and bites the crimson flowers with his white teeth.
Stained and ensanguined like mellow wine,
his mouth bursts out in laughter beneath the branches.
And when he has fled - like a squirrel -
his laughter still vibrates on every leaf,
and you can see, startled by a bullfinch,
the Golden Kiss of the Wood,
gathering itself together again.

Of Love And Time
My life through the startled air,
Beware of the branch of the palm tree;
But like the feelings of sadness,
Overcome it with the affluence of love and time.
On my wedding night,
On your wedding night,
On his wedding night,
On her wedding night,
Like the skeletons left over after a feast;
My life is a gesture of a command.
A joyous bridegroom through the startled air,
In a pleasant land to think about my Maker;
By land or by sea i will follow Him.
Love is sunshine but hate is a shadow,
The day is restless but the night is quiet,
Man is imperious but woman is feeble,
From afar off with words from my mind to toch you;
It was for another from of life like,
The dexterity of my struggles in this world.
This vessel is always strong to move on,
Like my life through the startled air;
Though it bends me, it will always obey me.
I saw the woman,
How beautiful she was!
Wide open to the air with faces of her children.
My love is pure like a shape in the moonlight,
My heart is clean like the village clock to lead me on;
For my wants are but a few on this journey like,
The affluence of love and time to overcome.

I think Col. North is first a U.S. citizen and he has the same rights as you yourself do, sir.
Early in the morning [1]
Early in the morning the summer sun
has burnt the night open,
glowing in the late afternoon
it has descended right across the country
but now that winter is coming,
suddenly the mind is jerked
when mornings are silver and dark
and afternoons becomes totally grey.

Thought Criminal
darkness again
sleeping upside down
on a pillow of nails
push it, smile
oh talk, talk, talk, talk, talk for a while
blinded, blinded
can't see a door in front of me
you open up, and walk all over me
a sin for a bottle of gin
drunken
flowers bloom in a high fashion season
it's all over me, all over me, greed
open up in my mind
oh so conned to be jerked back into the 50's
and become some macho scum that makes me bleed
oh why will you turn on me?
why do you smile like that?
darkness again
sleeping upside down
on a pillow made of nails
mental shock
mental shock
mental shock
all over me, is grief
you can't see
what will you do for money?
killing time with bullets in the night
oh right, oh right
what is right? to conquer?
or follow some path paved some years ago?
with no hope, no hope of any life
shine, shine my bleeding heart
i will dance one more time before i must go around
revision, the vision
of the cult of the ruling class that be
no government, bottle up in my mind
oh so conned to be jerked back into the 50's
and become some macho scum that makes me free
oh why do you betray me?
why do you smile like that?
over the back
and into a system of oppression
hurts so bad to be
expendable
