Teacher’s Day in India,2010

Teachers teach students to learn;
Teachers show them how to earn;
Teachers guide students to read;
Teachers help them if they need.

Teachers share with pupils, ken;
Teachers show them how to pen;
Teachers train them in most things;
Teachers make them good earthlings!

Teachers mould their character;
Teachers act facilitator;
Teachers are a boon on earth;
Teachers bring students, mirth!

Teachers care for children-wards;
Teachers don’t expect rewards;
Teachers slog throughout life-span;
Teachers make them man / woman.

Teachers are a humble lot;
Teachers make learning, an art;
Teachers perform well their part;
Teachers love students in heart!

Teachers are next to parents;
Teachers are a nation’s wealth;
Teachers make a student great;
Teachers are a must for all.

Revere teachers on this Day;
Thank them truly in some way;
Emulate them, if you may;
‘Give them good health, God’, you pray!

“Happy Teachers’ Day! ”

Most lovingly dedicated to all my teachers,
Living and dead, who made me,
‘What I am, today! ’

Teacher’s Day Verses (A Pot Pourri)

Most teachers teach;
And some do preach;
Not all can reach
The pupil each!

On ‘Teachers’ Day’
Students must say,
‘From heart, we thank you, aye,
for showing us life’s way! ’

Teachers are mostly right;
Pupils should never fight;
They show all wisdom’s light
With selflessness and might.

Each teacher is God’s gift,
Who gives us our life’s lift;
And warns us not to drift
Away, from learning shift!

Our teachers help us learn;
Sometimes they are quite stern;
The mid-night oil, we burn;
Our learning helps us earn;

There are some hearts that care,
And show love that is rare
Like parents, and knowledge share;
And smile, when students well fare.

Let students thank God
For teachers’ precepts, rod;
They must always nod
To teacher’s every word.

Our teachers mean a lot;
In life, they change our lot,
And prevent us from rot;
To thank them, we all ought.

Our Teachers give the spark
That lights our lives quite dark;
They keep us on the mark
Like guardian angels, Hark!

Teacher’s Day in India

Teacher’s Day in India is today-
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday;
A great educationist, Indian;
A former President of our nation;
A teacher par excellence;
An exemplary role-model to all.

Let’s celebrate this day
In a special way,
By remembering our teachers,
Who’d taught us all these years.

A teacher is a tutor;
A teacher is a scholar;
A teacher is a special friend;
A guide and philosopher
In students’ lives- a Godsend!

Our teachers are great minds;
Our teachers are rare finds;
Their love and precept binds
As students’ life-years winds!

God bless our teachers (dears):
God give them healthy years;
God meet their wants sans fears,
And make them mighty seers.

Like parents, he/she rears;
God rank them as great peers;
But keep them free from tears,
When their life’s end nears.

Dedicated most respectfully to
all our beloved teachers

Teacher's Day 2012

Just once a year comes Teacher's Day,
For students to celebrate it;
Show respect, gratitude some way;
As teachers who always befit!

Imparting knowledge to pupils
Is work of noble sacrifice:
Which teachers do all through their lives;
While training them, akin bee-hives!

A world bereft of teachers,
Can one ever imagine?
They do what parents cannot do,
And make the student fit for life!

Should you not wish your teachers dear,
On this memorable day?
And make them feel happy and see
The affection of students, this way!

Sonnet: Students’ Duty to Teachers...

Most teachers share knowledge with students all,
And help them learn the things they ought in life,
And train and groom them for the exam-hall,
And eke a livelihood, avoiding strife.

How should students repay their sacrifice,
Devotion, love and labour, teachers lend?
–Obedience, industriousness suffice,
With reverence to teachers till the end.

One can’t repay a teacher’s service, love,
Or priceless time, attention rendered free;
When students toil to rise in life, and prove
Much greater than their teachers tend to be,

It fills a teacher’s heart with joy to know,
His work was useful to students somehow!

Another Pretentious Move Kept to Deny Truth

I am not one against higher education.
I am one who takes offense against those...
Getting high while being educated.

This is not a recent phenomenon.
This is one of those situations,
Swept under the rug...
In another pretentious move kept to deny truth.

And today,
Teachers AND school administrators feel...
It is their duty to lie about achievements students make.
While those who desired to improve with noticeable,
And successful changes...
Were deemed our methods and approaches unacceptable.

Well...
Do you highbrows feel me now?

I am not one against higher education.
I am one who takes offense against those...
Getting high while being educated.
And those who teach with beliefs that's what that do,
While medicating themselves on maintaining their pretensions.

What Is Reality?

Nowadays parents complain
that their children are spoiled
but children did not think so.
What is reality then?
Are children Freewheelers
Or parents want to make them
victims of their own ambitions?

Nowadays schoolteachers complain
that students do not study herd
What is reality after all?
Is teachers'complaint baseless
or students knew that knowledge
has become a purchasable commodity?

Ode to Teachers

Ode to Teachers

Teachers are not just people whose job is to teach
Teachers are not just people who grade our papers or stand at the front of the classroom
Teachers are not just people who give us homework
No!
Teachers are part of our life
Never to be forgotten
Teachers are like steps that help us
Help us make it to the top
To be a greater person
To exceed expectations
They prepare us for great outside world
With its stone cold heart
Where if we trip and fall on our face
It will laugh at us
But because of our teachers
Our wonderful teachers
We remember to get back up

New Colour for Education in My Country

Many International Schools are opened
They bring rainbow in my country
They will hand in hand with public school
To give good Education for our next generation
Character Building is one of the great purpose
That we should build to our children
since the beginning

Give our future generation
Knowing more then knowledge
But also a beautiful heart and mind
Parents should hand in hand with teachers
To introduce this beautiful lesson
A school is very lucky
If it has a great teacher
Not only have a good knowledge
But also have a Hugh heart to love their students
To care of parents problem
To be there when their students cry
To Help parents to teach their kids the best lesson in life
A teacher who has a great heart to make our children to be a Gold
in their own country
I wish i can be that kind of teacher
But it's still long journey to go
Me, still need to learn how become a great mom

Is Education A Business?

Is Education A Business

Is education a business
Or should it even be?

This is a question, which has always bothered me!
What is the purpose of educating students?

Should we pay more to teachers
Or could we do something even more prudent?

If you listen to some administrators the problem is money
When asked they will say, ' There simply is not enough to have any! '

If this were truly the problem the cure could be
Raise our already high taxes to what they really should be.

However, money may not be solely the answer
The question moreover they said coldly may actually be,
' We simply aren't teaching the students enough,
They are not passing the tests! '

To which the brilliant educational bureaucrat sadly laments.' We need more money to teach to the Test! '

Remember John Dewey, the man who organized the library, he also lend theories to straighten up our schools.

His applied theories were successful,
His students succeeded,
But was it his message that we heeded?

Dewey taught us that if we taught for learning,
We wouldn't look back,
Instead we would look forward,
And every press on, everyone succeeded all over the town.

You see this is learning, just plain and simple!

Lower the taxes,
Lower the tests,
Raise the bar of learning,
That is truly how our students learn best!

Evergreen Memoirs: ‘I Batch, Silver Jubilee Meet’

Those were the days of toil, turmoil;
Those were the years of learning joy;
Those were the times of challenges;
Those were moments, we can’t forget!

Those were the happiest days in life;
Those were the times of great resolve;
Those were the years we loved the most;
Those were the dreams that came so true!

Our Management was great from start;
Our teachers taught ‘medical art’;
Our college then looked not so vast;
Oh, how we miss the life that’s past!

And we were just a little batch!
We turned out to be ‘prized a catch’!
Our college life can’t come again;
Our teachers put us in right lane.

We did not have much capital;
We did not have own hospital;
We saw few patients in the ward;
Nevertheless, we worked just hard.

And God had blessed us for His part!
We smile and laugh with good a heart;
We love our teachers who taught us;
They shared their knowledge without fuss!

God, bless our Doctor Teachers dear!
’Tis nice to see them still, so near;
They sacrificed in nobler ways;
God grant them health and peaceful days!

Fondly dedicated to the Management, Teachers
And students of the First Batch of Medicos of
PSGIMS&R, CBE, ‘Silver Jubilee Meet’

Home is the first school and mother is the first teacher

Home is the first school and mother is the first teacher
Parents are the builder of children’s characters and minds,
The mother won’t be a fighter but should be a well preacher,
If she is an illiterate she must carry her children to tuition,
Howsoever the mother should educate their children first,
And she should send her children to school daily and regularly,
Teachers are not blamed not to fulfil children’s educational thirst,
Both the parents and teachers should make them the best citizens,
As we can’t work with one hand likewise we can’t walk with one leg,
Hence, parents and teachers are the same faces of the same coin,
If parents and teachers do them careless they suffer in life to beg,
Do well and have well it is said to see your own profit in life or ruin,
That is why parents and teachers are the best artists of the child,
If an art is spoilt the statue of the child looks like an ugly and a wild.

In The Art Class

I look around this joyful room,
Amongst the peaceful teens
This is perhaps the only class
Where students are not machines

In the art class they’ll smile
In the art class they’ll yell
In the art class they‘ll be kind
And not raise a hell

Many teachers wonder why this is so
Many teachers wonder where the secret lies
The secret to peaceful teens, which enjoy their work
The secret to the students without depressed cries

The students wonder how they could not get it
How they could not understand
How the teachers don’t realise
That in the art room there are no demands

In the maths class there are complications
In the English room there is language
But in the art room there is only creativity
It is that which students which to salvage

The art teacher is simple and kind
The art teacher doesn’t lecture or scream
The art teacher doesn’t force them to be equal
And make a most horrendous scene

No, in the art class they are not equal
But the differences they admire
They have a writer, a painter and a sculptor
And they have freedom to aspire

Freedom is what the students wish
The students wish to be treated like people
In the art class they are treated as such
In other classes they are believed incapable

The students will always be at peace in the art room
There will be no fights, no pain, and no scorn
The other teachers will wonder what the secret is
But their attempts to find out will always be forlorn

My Last Assembly In School

A VERY FRUITFUL MORNING
TO THE GLITTERING STUDENTS
AND THE TEACHERS CHARMING

IT REALLY FEELS FANTASTIC
TO SEE U ALL ENTHUSIASTIC

OUR HEAD MISTRESS GAVE US A TOKEN
A PRESTIGIOUS CHANCE TO BE SPOKEN

SO WE ARE HERE TO SHARE OUR WARMTH AND COLD
THE MOMENTS SPENT HERE WERE AS PRECIOUS AS GOLD

STUDYING MADE ALL OF US HORRIFIED
BUT NOW IT MADE US DIGNIFIED

OUR TEACHERS SUPPORTED US BY SAYING WE ARE ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU
SO LOVING TEACHERS FOR THAT CONCERN WE ALL THANK YOU

OUR SCHOOL GAVE US GR8 OPPOURTUNITIES
TO PROVE OURSELVES AND ACQUIRE MORE NUMBER OF TROPHIES

WHY WE HAVE TO LEAVE THE SCHOOL AND WHY WE HAVE TO GO?
WE TENTH STANDARD STUDENTS WANTS THE TIME TO PASS SLOW

BUT TIME NEVER WAITS
TIME DECIDES FATES
IN ITSELF YOU DEBATE AND CREATE
IN TIME ITSELF YOU LOVE OR HATE

THERE IS TIME TO WAIT WAIT FOR SOME ONE
BUT TIME WAITS FOR NONE

ROYAL EMBASSY GAVE US THE KNOWLEDGE OF ISLAM
HOW TO BE HUMBLE, HELPFUL AND CALM

NEVER TO HAVE HESITATION, INSECURITY AND CONSPIRACY
THAT'S ALL TEACHES OUR ROYAL EMBASSY

AS IT HAS SHOWN US THE PATH WHICH IS RIGHT
MAY ALLAH TAKE THIS SCHOOL TO A GREATER HEIGHT.................

Teacher’s Day,2011 in India

Remember all your teachers who taught you
in school and college, right from childhood days;
Revere your teachers in all things you do;
Pray God should keep them happy most, always!

They put their heart and soul to train us up;
They helped us drink ken with ease from life’s cup!
Remind yourself the toil that teachers gave;
If not for them, would we now well behave?

Recapitulate good things that teachers did;
Recollect moments ashamed, when you hid;
Realize the role each one of them well played;
Recognize their mettle, prowess, love, aid!

Recount their help they offered you in need;
Reflect on advice good, they tried to seed;
Refill your heart and mind with joy, O man!
Repay their kindness to them if you can.

What noble sacrifices teachers made!
Efforts to train us, students, will not fade;
Despite their hard-work, life gave them raw deal;
Our teachers made us wholesome and thus feel!

Dedicated to all my beloved teachers
who made me what I am, today!
