The way to develop decisiveness is to start right where you are, with the very next question you face.

Alone
Shakin' sugar from a sugar spoon
Peppermint tea afternoon
Alone, alone, alone
Taking a shower take another nap
Watching television take a bath
Alone, alone, alone
Feel like a book, but I just cant start it
Feel like a lover, brokenhearted
Look in the mirror at the face in the glass
Look like a question no one ever asks
Alone
Like I'm supposed to be
Lone lonely alone
Like I'm supposed to be
Go for a walk, go for a drive
Listen to the stereo stay inside
Alone, alone, alone
Feel like a book, but I just cant start it
Feel like a lover, brokenhearted
Look in the mirror at the face in the glass
Look like a question no one ever asks
Alone
Like I'm supposed to be
Lone lonely alone
Like I'm supposed to be
Shakin' sugar from a tablespoon
bitter black coffee underneath the moon
Alone, alone, alone
Feel like a book with a big ghost heart
I didn't finish, I didn't start it
Look in the mirror at the face in the glass
Look like a question no one ever asks
Alone
Like I'm supposed to be
Lone lonely alone
Like I'm supposed to be

She Will Be A Japanese Tree Song
She will be a
Japanese cherie tree
Once the seed that I planted today
Start to develop the roots in the soil
And I know that a
Japanese Cherie tree can't grow overnight
Because it takes months and years for a tree to develop

These things don't just come, arrive and settle like a bird picking up a few bits of crumbs. They develop. I think the best word for these things is develop. They develop because of the human beings who just happen to be there at the time.

If You Are Not Feeling It
Do you have it in yourself to achieve?
Are you bothered by listening and discipline?
Does either one of them or both...
Make you cringe?
Especially when someone experienced,
Tells you over and over again...
Those are the two key elements to success.
And you regard criticisms, advice and suggestions...
As being offensive to your sensitivities?
Plus you rather socialize than to sacrifice your time,
To do anything that prioritizes...
What you claim to have love and interest to do.
And there is no loyalty or devotion applied?
Where is your passion?
Do 'I' think you have it in yourself to achieve?
That's the question you did ask me,
Right?
Well...
You have none of that of which I just mentioned.
Was that a trick question?
Or did you just want to see me laugh?
And why would you ask me,
A question like that in the first place?
If you are not feeling it...
What makes you believe that I can feel 'that',
Coming from you?
Stop seeking attention.
Stop seeking acceptance.
Start...
Believing in yourself and your abilities,
And you will never have to ask me...
Or anyone else,
A question like that again.
Now get out of my face.
You're wasting 'my' time.

Slavery is the first step towards civilization. In order to develop it is necessary that things should be much better for some and much worse for others, then those who are better off can develop at the expense of others.

You don't develop courage by being happy in your relationships everyday. You develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity.
If you can help other people understand those truths - and in my mind, the only way I know to do that is with large scale, multi-year research projects, where you start with a question and then very rigorously and comprehensively answer that question.

I write from instinct, from inexplicable sparkle. I don't know why I'm writing what I'm writing. Usually, I sit and I let my hands wander on my guitar. And I sing anything. I play anything. And I wait till I come across a pleasing accident. Then I start to develop it. Once you take a piece of musical information, there are certain implications that it automatically contains — the implication of that phrase elongated, contracted, or inverted or in another time signature. So you start with an impulse and go to what your ear likes.

Media morality
Media morality
~
a shout loud enough to echo
echo the claims in print
prove a media masterpiece
for the flavour of the month
that decided by others
as what we need to know
the secrets behind the lies
the truths in the shadows
question a worlds morality
all in the gloss of a headline
designed for us to buy into
a cash incentive opinion
ready made for quick sale
how the guilty judge
safe in glass houses
when we start to question
think for ourselves
we turn the camera to face
a media morality
