I mean, we are facing so many very, very important issues and those are the issues that you heard talked about last night from the Republican convention, and that you'll hear my husband talk about. And those are the really important issues facing our country right now.

And so popular culture raises issues that are very important, actually, in the country I think. You get issues of the First Amendment rights and issues of drug use, issues of AIDS, and things like that all arise naturally out of pop culture.

I had hoped to hear the President tonight tell the Congress and the American people exactly how he plans to tackle some of the important issues facing this country, unfortunately I did not.

I've found that when you roll up your sleeves and join people in their daily work, they tend to open up quite a bit and let you know what they really think about the issues facing our country and what kind of job they think the government is doing.

Issues
Issues are abound and around,
Issues break the hearts astound,
Issues encourage being excellent,
Issues envisage the predicament,
Issues are the oars to push the boat,
Issues are umbrellas, get wet, not protects,
Issues issue the ticket to the ground,
Imitate the quality of the dew on the grass,
To minimize the issues as small as possible,
When the dew reflects the tallest building,
on its smallest surface without illusion,
When the dew on the grass can reflect it,
Upside down in same proportion,
Why are we, human, afraid of issues?
Make it small and solve it.

Tribute To Courage
Courage is doing what is right
Without having to be told
Courage is manning up
When you know you've done something wrong
Courage is looking the enemy in the eye
And telling them to just bring it
Courage is having fear
But still staying strong
Courage is facing adversity
But being able to overcome it
Courage is leaving your family behind
To defend the country you love
Courage is being a soldier
In the greatest army in the world
Thank you for this courage
That lets us live free
May God bless you
And come home safely to your families

Facing Up
Why do you wish to live in an ideal world?
Why do you think, that God will always be there?
Is it so hard to see things like they are?
Maybe one day, you'll stop living in a dream
Maybe not
Why religion, or magic or anything else?
What do you mean, love is not all we need?
Is it so hard to look at death every day?
Maybe one day, you may say this is for real
Maybe not
Facing up
Maybe not
Facing up
What if not?
So many problems of science involved
Complexity and basic principles
Observations of the empty space
Still searching for the final theory
Yeah the final theory
About our fate
Destiny
The dark energy
Facing up
Maybe not
Facing up
What if not?

The Greatest Man In The World
Before I heard your voice I never heard a sound like that before
I wanna hear it more and more
Take me to heaven
My love is stronger than the wall
Ill climb it till I fell so I can hear you call your love
Id be the greatest man in the world
cause I can say I got the greatest girl
Id be the greatest man in the world
cause I can say I got the greatest girl
Before I saw your face I never say a dream like that before
I wanna see it more and more
Take me to heaven
My love is stronger than the wall
Ill climb it till I fall so I can hear you call your love
Be the greatest man in the world
cause I can say Ive got the greatest girl
Be the greatest man in the world
cause I can say I got the greatest girl, the greatest girl
Be the greatest man in the world (repeat line and fade out)

Jamestown changed the world in many ways, but perhaps it shaped our nation most profoundly the day Africans arrived. I can't think of a more relevant place to talk about the issues facing our community today than the place where African culture became American culture.

The most distressing aspect of the world into which you are going is its indifference to the basic issues, which now, as always, are moral issues.

The Greatest
[Intro]
(The the, the the, the the, the the)
Don't throw no roses on my grave, boo
That's not a soldier, it's more like an angel
You got no where to run, no one to pray to
Jesus and Moses ain't comin' to save you
(The greatest, the the the greatest)
I flow like a butterfly, I sting like a hornet
They won't let me have it
Not even if no one else want it
And if I try to take it
They wanna break me down and strip me naked
They write a brand new rule and break it
They lie, they cheat, they steal, they fake it
But I'mma make it, Lord I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
I can't sweat it, know I got to get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt, my name will survive
(The greatest the the greatest man alive)
(The greatest man)
(The greatest, the the)
I'mma make it, Lord I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The gratest man alive)
I can't sweat it, I know I got to get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt, my name will survive
(The, the greatest man alive)
(The greatest, the the greatest man)
(The the, the greatest man alive)
(The, the the greatest, the the the greatest man)
(The greatest man alive)
I'mma make it, know that I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
I can't sweat it, I know I gotta get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt my name will survive
(The greatest man, the greatest man alive)
It only gets harder
It always seems so far away
The sky's getting darker
Another storm is on the way
(The the greatest, the the the greatest, the the)
Another storm is on the way
(The the the the greatest, the the greatest)
(The greatest man alive)

The greatest country in the history of the world being attacked. So all of this doesn't mean very much today.
Issues
For all, issues arise every day in every shape and size.
You must deal with all of them in ways that are wise.
For some you are glad while others make you mad.
Lucky for you, but a few, are in themselves, truly sad.
Worst of all are issues that you alone cause to be bad.
Before your presence there was no problem to be had.
Love, family and health are key issues of each day,
Though issues of money and power hinder your way.
If not addressed these infections will spread and may
Kill the love you have and result in a life of dismay.

Unfortunately, the real focus in this country has not been on the rest of the world. It's been on our own issues and our own problems. Fair enough. But it means that our simple hopes that everything will just work out abroad aren't really coming to pass.

Culture Shock
After an absence of...
four years intensely immersed;
in a foreign country
culture cuisine employment.
Sometimes the greatest
culture shock;
is coming back
to your home country.
Sometimes then
you do not belong;
in either country
ever ever again.
This is definitely true
when you never;
belonged in your home
country to begin with.
Bicultural people
can however;
be an insightful gift
to both cultures.
