Although our intellect always longs for clarity and certainty, our nature often finds uncertainty fascinating.

Boink

It is a sound
When my single drop
Finds the stillness of your pool
When the ripples walk
Hand in hand....like us
To a waving grassy shore
Our certainty are words
You feel but never have to say
But look their clarity into my soul
while throwing out the key

Mileva And Certainty

Mileva loved him more than the Stars,
more than Time itself.

They both were physics majors
and dreamers who
wanted to take Newton
to new ground.

Both wanted Certainty:
he had his Cosmological Constant
and tried to prove that God does
not throw dice-
that the Universe was orderly.

She wanted Certainty, too,
and some say showed him how
and this is reflected in some of the ideas
which made him famous.

He got Quantum Physics
and The Theory of Uncertainty;
both then
had only Probabilities.

He divorced her
promising
his Nobel Prize money
and he spun away
into Relativity and Gravity;

both lost threads in the fabric
of Space and Time.

Both lost Certainty,

as we all now have,

we have now
only
Probabilities
and Relativities.

In Uncertainty We Live

IN UNCERTAINTY WE LIVE

In uncertainty we live,
And in uncertainty we will die-
Uncertainty is with us
In all our loves and hopes,
Nothing can escape
The ‘not knowing’ which will always be with us-
Uncertain we are born
And uncertain we will die-
God help me contend with the Uncertainty
With greater wisdom and courage.

Where there is an absolute certainty there really isn’t any shadow of a doubt
but if there’s something definitely unknown an air of uncertainty hangs about.

A Natural Genius!

Inspiration from Nature makes me free
And free flow of words become fine poem!
Peacock dances out of zeal seeing rain clouds;
Nightingale sings enjoying Nature in fulfilment!

Nature is friend, philosopher and guide for all!
This truth animal, men and natural beings know!
Eye, ear, nose, tongue and feeling if sensitive
Lessons of Nature open heart to do all in love!

Ape and men learn from others to do all ever
As where intellect is strong instinct is weak!
If instinct, intellect and intuition are high sure
One will be super being creative as God or poet!

Engrossed in Nature's influence all comes naturally
For the genius doing great feat as singer, poet and all!

The greatest loss of time is delay and expectation, which depend upon the future. We let go the present, which we have in our power, and look forward to that which depends upon chance, and so relinquish a certainty for an uncertainty.

The Amazing Wonders Of Nature

The more that I learn about Nature the less of her I know that I know
And the more that I learn of Nature the more my wonder of her does grow
One can only live in awe of her wonders she does seem amazing to me
Scarce a day goes by that in Nature a new wonder one does not see
The artists and writers are inspired by her she is one not hard to admire
And of singing our Earth Mother's praises I feel that one never could tire
I am not a student of Nature though that's something I wish I could be
Her ways I do find fascinating yet she does seem too complex for me
Since she hides from us her many secrets all in Nature is not what you think that you see
The birds and animals have their survival methods which they do guard with secrecy
The different ways of the different creatures of land and of river and sea
On the ways and the workings of Nature the experts even disagree
The more that I learn of Nature so little of her I know that I know
So marvellous and so amazing and my wonder of her only grow.

I Am Man

For if their is a god he should be angry.
We waste a precious gift everyday that he gave us.
As a boy I'm looking through a window so small.
Only hoping I can understand it all.
Knowing not of certainty, but of uncertainty.
With do diligence I absorb it to understand for I am man.

I'm Always Learning From Nature

For many years I have loved Nature but little about her I know
My knowledge of her is basic I know a finch from a crow
Recognize some birds by their songs know a wallaby from a roo
Know a wombat from an echidna and a rosella from a cockatoo
Just basic knowledge of Nature her secrets from us she hide
Nature who lives in Townparks and gardens and who reigns supreme in the countryside
I find her quite fascinating artists and writers she inspire
I can only sing her praises of which I never do tire
Nature is for everybody for to learn of and enjoy
And for decades of years I have loved her ever since I was a boy
Her secrets she has hidden from me so mysterious in her own way
I'm always learning from Nature learning from her every day
Yes I'm always learning from Nature and my wonder of her only grow
Yet from me her secrets she keeps hidden and little about her I know.

That's What A Growing Does

Long before I met you,
I was introduced to myself first.
And that meeting took awhile,
Before I felt a clarity.

With a clarity noticed I wanted to know.
And to let go of that which I did not need.

Now with clarity and identity intact,
I can understand...
Why today you say I've changed.
I have learned that's what a growing does.

And I hope that growth continues to show.
With a letting go of that which my mind does not feed.

I Hesitate for Friend Konstantin

I walk in darkness seeking light.
I search for truth to no avail
I can’t distinguish wrong from right.
I know not if I can prevail
against the problems assailing me.
I cannot say with certainty
if satisfaction can be found.
The only thing I’m sure about.
I have no choice I must go on.
Despite my fears I have no doubt
that I am not the only one.
Who suffers such uncertainty
yet still continues hopefully.
