Those who made and endorsed our Constitution knew man's nature, and it is to their ideas, rather than to the temptations of utopia, that we must ask that our judges adhere.

Of An Earthly Utopia
Of an Earthly Utopia all hope has not gone
The dream of peace and freedom from hunger it is living on
The flower of peace though not blooming it has not yet died
And the dream of Utopia cannot be destroyed
Those who try to detroy our Planet through their lust of greed
At the destruction of Nature cannot hope to succeed
When the last human being in eternal rest lay
Mother Nature will live on in her natural way
And since climate change is happening all around me
An Earthly Utopia i may not live to see
For the health of Mother Nature we do not seem to care
We pollute her lands and her oceans and her rivers and air
But for our crimes against her Nature us can forgive
And despite our greed the dream of Utopia does live.

We are under a Constitution, but the Constitution is what the judges say it is, and the judiciary is the safeguard of our property and our liberty and our property under the Constitution.

Best Ideas
Why is it nearly always
the best ideas come
just before you go to bed
and if you do not write them down
you go to sleep
with words whirling around
inside your head.
It is a dilemma most writers
seem to adhere to
that the best ideas come
when you are tired
and just want to go to bed.

Utopia
Utopia
Its a strange day
No colours or shapes
No sound in my head
I forget who i am
When im with you
Theres no reason
Theres no sense
Im not supposed to feel
I forget who i am
I forget
Fascist baby
Utopia, utopia
My dog needs new ears
Make his eyes see forever
Make him live like me
Again and again
Im wired to the world
Thats how i know everything
Im super brain
Thats how they made me

Can Canadians Do It Oct 25th,2012
CAN CANADIANS DO IT? Oct 25th,2012
BY
JAMES BREDIN
Where do we get politicians with their feet on the ground?
Who think Canadian and are not completely party bound.
Who think death with dignity and not the abortion clinic,
Politicians we can believe in and is not the usual cynic.
Because they're into human rights and Trudeau's constitution,
And no capital punishment, lethal-injection or execution,
Soft judges and parole boards that almost empty the jails,
Or any left-wing ideas, notions or rules that prevail.
And then it gets worse because media moguls think it's great,
Or a new drug-addict Insite free clinic without much debate,
Where judges are appointed from very secret lists,
Governor generals too so our new aristocrats persist.

Constitution Visits
Things would be made much more explicit,
If those of leadership made constitution visits.
And saw and read and comprehend
What that doctrine says
To a nation of men and women!
No one needs to be Christian, Black or Jew
To uphold those rights for me or you!
No one needs to be Catholic, Baptist or 'Witness'
To live a life on this land that was not created for this!
Somehow somewhere someone thought of greed.
And represented the constitution for this purpose to feed!
Someone made it Christian and began to use a Bible.
Someone began making laws that from our constitution...
Was not viable!
We are fighting for the right to change thoughts of others,
When the understanding of what exists...
Has been twisted to make liable to stir up others' troubles!
Nothing that is done today,
Is from a constitution much abused that is reliable to use,
In the hands of those who choose it to confuse!
And where do the Puritans and Quakers fit in?
Believers and founders who arrived without documentation!
Things would be made much more explicit...
If those in roles of position,
Made a few more constitution visits!
Instead of surpressing realities in distress!
Creating not unity...
But a world in a conflicting mess!

The Road To Utopia
I blink my eyes and then it happens again
I lose my way but I discover a friend
Its a typical day on the road to utopia
I walk along until my feet are sore
I rest a minute then I walk some more
Theres no time to delay on the road to utopia
And my destination is the unknown
But Im never far away from my home
It shines like laser light
Its in my dreams at night
cause Ive been all my life
On the road to utopia
I will be there to share your tragedy
I know that you would do the same for me
Its no trouble at all on the road to utopia
When day is over and Im trying to sleep
It comes so easy cause Im not counting sheep
I am counting the smiles on the road to utopia
And I may lose my way again and again
But Ill cross that borderline in the end
Trouble trouble trouble whirling all about
But if we stick together we can stick it out
Will we ever find the loves we lost again
Does this crazy journey ever have an end
And will I find what Im after
Do I know what Im after
Guess Ill join in the laughter
On the road to utopia

Utopia
we'd gather around all in a room fasten our belts engage in dialogue
we'd all slow down rest without guilt not lie without fear disagree sans judgement
we would stay and respond and expand and include and allow and forgive and
enjoy and evolve and discern and inquire and accept and admit and divulge and
open and reach out and speak up
This is utopia this is my utopia
This is my ideal my end in sight
Utopia this is my utopia
This is my nirvana
My ultimate
we'd open our arms we'd all jump in we'd all coast down into safety nets
we would share and listen and support and welcome be propelled by passion not
invest in outcomes we would breathe and be charmed and amused by difference
be gentle and make room for every emotion
we'd provide forums we'd all speak out we'd all be heard we'd all feel seen
we'd rise post-obstacle more defined more grateful we would heal be humbled
and be unstoppable we'd hold close and let go and know when to do which we'd
release and disarm and stand up and feel safe
this is utopia this is my utopia
this is my ideal my end in sight
utopia this is my utopia
this is my nirvana
my ultimate

Afternoons In Utopia
Acrobats and comets floating by so fast
Childrens faces smile like suns at last
Lilac butterflies are cruising without fear
All inviting you to stay and rest here
You can halt your car for an afternoon in utopia
We shall stop the wars on those afternoons in utopia
Mighty mao moondog drifts across the grass
Healing lullabies for easter time on mars
Paint your hats and shoues with flowers and with stars
Singing in metropolitan operas
You can halt your car for an afternoon in utopia
We shall stop the wars on those afternoons in utopia

Utopia Parkway
Well Ive been saving for a custom van
And Ive been playing for a cover band
And my baby doesnt understand
Why I never turned from boy to man
I got it made
I got it down
I am the king of this island town
Im on my own
Im on my way
Down utopia parkway
And while Im waiting for my time to come
Im gonna get a little shopping done
Ill get some paper and a staple gun
And put my name in front of everyone
I got it made
I got it down
I am the king of this goddamn town
Im on my own
Im on my way
Down utopia parkway
Gonna let my hair grow down my back
Gonna brace myself for the big attack
And theyll never know what hit them when Im gone

Diversity on the bench is critical. As practitioners, you need judges who 'get it!' We need judges who understand what discrimination feels like. We need judges who understand what inequality feels like. We need judges who understand the subtleties of unfair treatment and who are willing to call it out when they see it!

An unjust composition never fails to contain error and falsehood. Therefore an unjust connection of ideas is not derived from nature, but from the imperfect composition of man. Misconnection of ideas is the same as misjudging, and has no positive existence, being merely a creature of the imagination; but nature and truth are real and uniform; and the rational mind by reasoning, discerns the uniformity, and is thereby enabled to make a just composition of ideas, which will stand the test of truth. But the fantastical illuminations of the credulous and superstitious part of mankind, proceed from weakness, and as far as they take place in the world subvert the religion of REASON, NATURE and TRUTH.

Sour Grapes for M lady Tara
Sour grapes
Crysanthemums flamboyantly
display their multicoloured hues.
Each blossom is potentially
a winner though it is hard to choose.
This is the task the judges face
and all three judges must agree.
Which one of them deserves first place.
Decisions made collectively.
At last the winner is declared.
Against which there is no appeal
they have debated and compared.
Without a doubt the judges feel.
That their decision was correct
unlike the losers I suspect.

Nature has made the bark brown
Nature has made the bark brown
My man, my man
Nature has made the birds black
My man, my man
Nature has made the dirt dark
My man, my man.
Nature made the color of your skin
My man, my man.

I Am Forbiden
Under this terrible sun I lay to rest,
Mind and heart at it never ending struggle
Who should I embrace, oh spirit of nature.
My self is not content with self,
And I am force to adhere to my lower self.
Where all the ethers turn sour in moments.
Hmm….my tears would not flow,
For these ancient mysteries i must conceal.
From the idle nature of mankind,
Who see reality as it and never enduring to unveil?
Ignorant, false knowledge are the true embodiment
Of this animal nature, in it never ending stupendous nature.
Which I am forbidding to reveal.
I pray god save mankind.
