0179 My Parents
'We begin by loving our parents; '
said E.M.Forster,
'later, we hate them;
rarely if ever do we
forgive them...'
I'd like to live long enough
to forgive them;
then,
go somewhere where
I can tell them I love them,
always did, always shall.

Parents (like, who needs them?)
In the staff room after Parents’ Day
we used to shake our prematurely
gray heads and contemplate
the Zen-ness of our well-worn truism:
‘Parents are the least suitable
people to have children’…
EMForster said, we begin by
loving our parents; later
we judge them; rarely
if ever, do we forgive them..
The other day, some pseudo-quiz
for exposure-hungry celebs
asked, what is the most disliked
thing about parents?
and the pollsters did their thing
and found it was, their taste in music..
I guess that tells you something
about the depth of culture
though I suspect many teenagers
really think, it’s the gross, unspeakable way
that they go on having sex after we’re born…
however, this alleged poem is getting
way off track from its solemn message
which might, just might, be India’s
greatest if unproveable gift to the West
and all who whinge about their parents and
what they did and didn’t do for us…:
karma: that the way you lived your previous life
fixed it via the absolute computer that
you were born in the most propitious
time and place and parentage
to continue the journey of your soul
on its way to the bliss of freedom
from all worldly attachments
such as, e.g. parents; older siblings; and
the rest you’ll have to fill in for yourself
remembering of course in your compassion that
it was karma for your long-suffering parents too;
you were their justice; and they, yours..

In America, people rarely stay in the town where they grew up, rarely stay in close proximity to their parents throughout their lives. You rarely find parents in their old age being taken care of by their children.

Parents vs children, children vs parents.
So many family is divided,
Parents against children agitated,
On the other side the kids do not approve them,
Criticizing, judging for every happenings and problem.
Many child blames the parents for numberless reason,
They oppose the strong, the weak and ready to abandon,
Many times parents are dictators, keeping the kid in slavery,
Neither of them is an angel, which is an irony.
Would be lovely if children would keep the commandment,
Respecting, understanding & loving the parents every moment,
Then, maybe they would receive that treatment too,
When they become parents & only justice they would do.
Mankind is teaching about peace, love and respect,
In this moment there is neither effect,
Oh parents and children when do you understand at last?
Learn to love and respect each other and forgive that bloody past.

We the unforgiving
and we’ll never quite forgive our parents
for being our parents
and we’ll never never forgive that one
we thought our best friend
for stopping being our friend without
an explanation or anything
and we’ll never ever forgive our first lover
our first for heaven’s sake
for dumping us and ruining our whole life
and we'll never quite forgive -
no, let's not go there; that's
too close to home...
and we’ll never forgive God for,
oh everything, if we knew
how to not forgive God
and secretly we’ll never forgive ourselves
for all the things we wish we hadn’t done
although of course we deserve to be forgiven
for it wasn’t really our fault was it..
how could we forgive ourselves, when there’s that
that dark figure lurking behind us saying
don’t you dare forgive yourself,
you ungrateful little…
and if you forgave everyone, you wouldn’t
know who you were… it’s not
as easy as that, oh no
oh yes it is. oh yes it is.

0010 The Great Release
We begin by loving our parents,
(said the famous author) :
later we judge them;
rarely, if ever, do we forgive them…
a jaundiced view?
we remember (most of the fortunate) that childhood, once,
was bliss, and life was full and endless
and lived entirely in the present,
skies were blue, or rain meant indoor play;
and happiness and joy was always ours..
and yet, we blame our parents…
violently; or gently; or with unspoken qualifications…
made me do this; held this from me;
gave me too little attention; breathed down my neck too much...
the list goes on; the grudge; the shoulder-chip;
what secret solace that such misery affords!
we are so justified - our lovely, wilful selves!
suppose we believed, as Hindus do,
that something of us finds its way, at death,
into another body, another destiny,
in order to progress – or is it rather, to return –
to our god-given, blissful nature,
full of all we need;
and thus it follows as the night the day
- and as the death, the life –
that this our present life was dreamed up
by previous faults, yet set
by some divine program of mercy, providence,
to aid us, a Stoic show-jump course
so cunningly set out that we might overcome,
within ourselves, what stands
in our wished, natural, entitled way to bliss..
the inwardly courageous may take this view
to heart; exclaim triumphantly,
this is the life I chose me for myself –
I chose my parents, and all these seeming
outward, self-depriving, abusive things
around my rediscovering self – for, no-one else to blame;
today is now indeed
the first day of my real life;
and singing on our way, rejoice
to be ourselves as we would be

Prayers of parents make a peaceful heaven to a home
Prayers of parents make a peaceful heaven to a home
The children who neglect their parents will be cursed,
The Nature makes such children’s house a hellish dome,
They are lucky children who are blessed by their parents,
It is said that there is a heaven under the legs of mother,
The children love or not to their mother but she loves all,
She embraces good or bad children but she can’t smother,
Mother is habituated to pray to God for all their happiness,
A few children won’t love their parents but love their wives,
In old age parents are in need of only their children’s love,
Who devote God, adore parents will be happy in their lives,
Love of parents always comes to children from the sky above,
God bless those children who are blessed by their parents,
And God curse those children who are cursed by their parents.

Children's role after you:
Birthday: parents to children;
Death anniversary: children to parents;
Marriage: parents for children;
Funeral: children for parents;
Others for these have no right;
Others for these are unfit.
Parents must have these in mind
When they write the will.

To keep the bond
Parents spend on children,
And children, on parents later.
These are not debts.
Parents scold children,
And children, parents later.
These are not scars.

Have thetr Profit and Loss Account.

The Child's Love To Their Parents
it is a reversal of roles
now the parents in their old age
begin to forget
the children grown into strong maturity
begin to remember
how mother sings to make the
child once sleep
because she has other things
to do in her life
now the children too wish also
the parents' rest
for they too have many
other things to do
in their life
besides parenting the old
square and fair, everything leads
to rest in eternity
singing Requeiscat en Pace.

Children And Adults
Obnoxious children fiercely chose the worst,
Worried by the panicky messages, they pleaded
For rest and peace so as to grow colossal, gigantic
Like parents of a certain gender that they trusted.
Elegant and glamorous were their parents,
Tender-loving-care became the guidance,
For parents respected the large children
Like a spider respects the grass.
A deafening roar was noticed by the teachers of the school
And a faint hissing sound inspired the children to cry for fear,
Needing the help of the adults, needing and needing care,
Just so as to learn what scare to avoid at what time of the year.

It's Neither Nor Or The Either
While you're loving me
Why don't you take your time,
While you're loving me.
Take your time to blow my mind,
While you're loving me.
I'm in the middle of a season...
When the leaves,
Begin to fall.
While you're loving me.
Why don't you take your time,
While you're loving me.
Take your time to blow my mind,
While you're loving me.
Let's turn this rhyme into a reason,
Both of us found each other to please.
You know I'm prime for the keeping,
Of what is good...
Close to me.
Why don't you take your time,
While you're loving me.
Take your time to blow my mind,
While you're loving me.
I'm in the middle of a season...
When the leaves,
Begin to fall.
Let's turn this rhyme into a reason,
Both of us found each other to please.
Why don't you take your time,
While you're loving me.
Take your time to blow my mind,
While you're loving me.
It's neither nor or the either...
You've got exactly what my hunger needs.
It's neither nor or the either...
You've got exactly what my hunger needs.
Take your time,
While you're loving me.
So baby
Take your time,
While you're loving me.
It's neither nor or the either...
You've got exactly what my hunger needs.
So baby take your time time.
While you're loving me.
So baby take your time time.
While you're loving me.
So baby take your time time.
While you're loving me.
So baby take your time time.
While you're loving me.
It's neither nor or the either...
So baby take your time,
Loving me.
It's neither nor or the either...
You have come here to rescue.
It's neither nor or the either...
You are the one to set my heart at ease.

Who Must Take Care of Old-aged Parents?
Which child will care for parents when old-aged?
Which child will show compassion and respect?
Which child will find the time to talk kind words?
Which child reciprocates their affection?
Gone are the days of joint family system!
Gone is the sense of values in people!
Gone are the times when blood was quite thicker!
Gone with the wind is honouring parents!
Have parents not showered love on children?
Have they not slogged to give them life's comforts?
Have they not nursed them whenev'r they fell ill?
Have they not done their duties to their kids?
The world today is selfish to the core;
Children just want the wealth of parents old;
None volunteer to tend to old parents;
Children show scarce love to their parents dear!
What has then come upon children today?
Who should take care of parents, elderly?
Should not one's children take care of parents?
Much love seems lost in families these days!

Driven into Fits as Unrestless Misfits Twitch
I've noticed children that lack discipline,
Are accustomed to their parents or guardians...
Shouting out demands to them.
With cussing heard that eventually is returned,
To the same people to have their ears burn.
For the most part children learn by example.
Not from samples taught by teachers in classrooms...
Driven into fits as unrestless misfits twitch unable to sit.
To have parents defend their children looking innocent,
In front of a judge delivering limited sentences.
To nip that disrespect in the bud,
With a punishment suitable is no longer legit.
Instead what children do today is tolerated...
And out of control they are,
As everyone seems to make excuses for it!

Parents Vs Children
Things that i don't understand in this world is that why do some people
get into relationship, getting married, enjoying life and making love.
But when it comes to children or when they already have kids, they
could not accept their responsibilities as parents. They do have
regrets of having kids especially if the kids are naughty, giving problem
or giving them headaches. They always beating, shouting, saying bad words to the kids saying wish you never exist, wish you never been born.
Instead of being calm, giving advice, doing good things which would make their children happy and be proud to have good parents.
Instead of thinking good ideas which would make them close to each other
.
Child is a child, they need more time with their parents. They need
attention, care, and love. Children are curious to everything, they need
to know antyhing as part of growing up. They need the guidance of
parents, but what I see nowadays is different. Parents just give material things to show their love for their kids.
Some parents just go out to parties, shopping, prefer to hang out with their friends rather than their kids. Then they just leave the children
to the nannies/babysitter.
Parents make their children be far from them instead children to get
close to the nannies who always there for them and give the love to the children. Parents must be a role model for the children, but what i see
now is that children do as what their parents do, they become more liberated.
There are also some parents who give up for their children. Some choose their own happiness, they don't like to stay at home with their kids. especially if thier husband dont have time for them too. the tendency, both couple would have a problem that result to divorce.
Where is the love that they shared? where is the promises and vows they had?
