Already at the origin of the species man was equal to what he was destined to become.

Men & Women, Women & Men
Why are women forced to be submissive towards men?
Is it true that men are the more dominant species of human?
I think not
As it is women who have been portrayed as this
By no other than the male species
We are equal
Each possessing different qualities
And both species intertwining each others traits
But there are those few how still believe
That women are inferior to men
To those few I simply say…
Women and men
The differences between us are on the outside only
People do not really talk the way they used to
But they still think that way
We have the same mind
Our spirits are different
Yet somehow they are all still connected
We breathe the same air
And walk the same path
We are alike
We just need to see it
Men & women, women & men.

If 1 And 2 Were Equal
If 1 and 2 were equal
we'd have as many hearts as fists
If 1 and 2 were equal
we'd have confused shopping lists
If 1 and 2 were equal
there'd be less phone numbers to dial
If 1 and 2 were equal
noon would surely last a while
If 1 and 2 were equal
there'd be a nose under each eye
If 1 and 2 were equal
you couldn't say no to 'you and I? '
If 1 and 2 were equal
I think I'd be much more happy
'cause if 1 and 2 were equal
I would not be so lonely

Breeze Breeze Breeze
your parents are not your parents
though you come from them
or though not
your parents are not your parents
they are merely the bows and you are
the arrow
mind the direction where the force
of the hand shoots you
mind the wind that gives you the push
mind the arrow
and let us see where fate takes you
why do we have to quarrel about the origin
of children
or the origin of the species?
move forward and find the real purpose
of the stars
you are here. Go there.
Does it really matter where do you come from?
there is more out there. Busy yourself
about the things to come
and give the best that is found inside
the chambers of your heart.

There are certain books in the world which every searcher for truth must know: the Bible, the Critique of Pure Reason, the Origin of Species, and Karl Marx's Capital.
Thus the genetic basis to the origin of bird species is to be sought in the inheritance of adult traits that are subject to natural and sexual selection.

equal rights to live,
equal rights to love.
equal rights to believe,
to speak out, to stand up
and be counted.
equal rights to work,
equal rights to study.
equal rights to build.
equal rights to profess faith,
equal rights to pray.
equal rights to give...
equal rights to live,
equal rights to love!

How To Write A Fable
Upon an extinct species
Whose origin goes back
To the deepest evolution root
When the boughs break down
And a helpless Esop takes a deep breath
Carried away by a trace of air
To the sad morale?

A Hurricane Species
A grovelling species
-Origin, Africa-
Swinging long arms
And digging for worms,
Develops,
Filtering off the west coast
As batches of thunderstorms
That grunt pre-words
And fight; then wander
Over the open emptiness.
The heat amasses
And splinters them into groups,
Going separate ways,
Each bearing a different hue.
Then, to the amazement
Of observers, sprawling,
Enlarges to a subcontinental size,
And barges forward,
Trailing as a spiral,
And evolving overnight, almost,
To take lives, kill and eviscerate.
We are this species
With the hurricanes following.
They fear nothing,
Unlike a cape,
As we fear them.
We must, therefore, fear ourselves,
To the ends of the seas.

Darkness And Light (2)
at the end
one must realize
the unity of all these
things, matters, species,
that we all belong to
the same origin
that all things are rooted
to just one tree
darkness and light
are not apposed
they are just one face
of the world looking
at another time
you and I
are what we are
there is no sense
in looking for differences anymore...

Equal?
How many men are created equal?
That's to hard to figure out.
How many men are created equal?
Preacher says 'ALL of us'
Hear him shout.
I guess he's forgotten what equal means.
He must be thinkin' about countin' beans.
One for you, two for me.
Count 'em up and you'll see
just what equal's all about?
Equal's really all about
who's doin' the countin'.

Fishy Policies
do research
hide data
ignore facts
take no action
back in 2009
data from trawlers
from 46 countries
were sampled
scientifically sifted
labourishly researched
plus bonus
two global fisheries
tuna and shark fin
using long lines?
at a bycatch rate
of 92 per cent
industry shark fin
tops as efficient
league champions
just cut off fins
more soupy tails
throw away body shark
destined to bloody sink
fish to extinction brink
destined to drown in extinction seas
Bangladesh shrimp fisheries
were ultimate survey losers
worst with over 95 per cent
of catch composed of non-target species
research data Marine Policy published
EU Common Fisheries Policy prepared
forthcoming review hopefully influenced
hook line and sinker sunk
reports composed just more fishy stories
mother ships ever catch hungry not Chinese junks
newsflash species once considered
unpalatable are appearing in fishmongers
alternative markets booming extinctions looming netted

More recently, books, especially paperbacks, have been printed in massive and inexpensive editions. For the price of a modest meal you can ponder the decline and fall of the Roman Empire, the origin of species, the interpretation of dreams, the nature of things. Books are like seeds. They can lie dormant for centuries and then flower in the most unpromising soil.

I must mend the ways of my mind. This is a very big place, and I do not know how it works. I am a member of a fragile species, still new to the earth, the youngest creatures of any scale, here only a few moments as evolutionary time is measured, a juvenile species, a child of a species. We are only tentatively set in place, error prone, at risk of fumbling, in real danger at the moment of leaving behind only a thin layer of of our fossils, radioactive at that.
