Found one on the mornin plane
Layin out his well-known line
Bought her some gin - that did her in
Now their makin love behind the occupied sing
Chorus:
Just a livin example of love in decline
Lookin so hard and so little time
Goin ninety to nothin and flyin stone blind
Just a livin example of love in decline
Miyama hotel disco bar
He asks if shes a movie star
Her eyes light up theyre going far
No time for a room - it happened too soon
Now theyre makin love in her rent-a-car

Thats just another example of love in decline
Lookin so hard and so little time
Goin ninety to nothin and flyin stone blind
Just a livin example of love in decline
Red-eyed on a midnight flight
Hes a little tired but she looks just right
He asks for dark so she hits the light
Engines whine - seats recline
Theyre makin love till the mornin light
Chorus:
Just a shinin example of love in decline
Lookin so hard and so little time
Goin ninety to nothin and flyin stone blind
Just a livin example of love in decline
Just a livin example of love in decline
Just a livin example of love in decline

This has a lot to do with the unrest in Nigeria, but also with the production loss after the hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico, the decline in Iraq since the 2003 war, and the decline in Venezuelan output since 2002.

Accept my sympathy
In all sincerity
It is a pathetic pity
I merely offer sympathy
With such velocity
This sadness born out of the blue
That decides to levy itself on you
In your fixed stillness
I sense your illness
Accept my sympathy
You lost a pet
Somebody made you upset
Accept my sympathy
You lost a friend
Your broken heart is yet to mend
Accept my sympathy
You were once abused
Possibly at times wrongly accused
Accept my sympathy
You marriage is on the rocks
You got divorced, left without a buck
Accept my sympathy
You lost a fortune
Your voice can't sing a decent tune
Accept my sympathy
You lost in love or lost your job
Or perhaps at one stage got robbed
Accept my sympathy
Your life is a mess
Everything around you depresses
Whatever the circumstances
Accept my sympathy
And if I happen to show no sympathy
Please accept my sympathy!

Accept It
Life is hard.
Accept it.
Momentary pleasures
Come and go…
Accept it.
Death evades you
When you need it the most.
Accept it.
Thoughts of death
Come and go…
Accept it.

When In Decline
WHEN IN DECLINE
When in decline
I write and write,
The more I do
The less – real life.
Inside I am too disturbed,
I have lost the rhythm
I have only- words.
I force myself
Like now undone
I cannot write
As I once loved.

I decline to accept the end of man. It is easy enough to say that man is immortal because he will endure: that when the last ding-dong of doom has clanged and faded from the last worthless rock hanging tideless in the last red and dying evening, that even then there will still be one more sound: that of his puny inexhaustible voice, still talking. I refuse to accept this. I believe that man will not merely endure: he will prevail. He is immortal, not because he alone among creatures has an inexhaustible voice, but because he has a soul, a spirit capable of compassion and sacrifice and endurance. The poet's, the writer's, duty is to write about these things. It is his privilege to help man endure by lifting his heart, by reminding him of the courage and honor and hope and pride and compassion and pity and sacrifice which have been the glory of his past. The poet's voice need not merely be the record of man, it can be one of the props, the pillars to help him endure and prevail.

The Mind Denies Its Own Decline
THE MIND DENIES ITS OWN DECLINE
The mind denies its own decline
It refuses to try to remember with difficulty and imprecision
A poem it once would have recalled easily and exactly-
It instead lets itself go somewhere else-
But on reflection it understands
Dying goes on inside even when denied -
The mind is still the mind but it is not as good as it was
And the body works more slowly too.

It's Mine to Own
Just give me my prize!
For a life lived...
Both bold and wise.
Just give me my prize!
Un-itemized it.
It's mine to own.
Just give me my prize.
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
Inside...
I connect it.
Now I can accept.
Those feelings I cried...
With heartache.
Deep in my chest!
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
Just give me my prize!
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
Inside...
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
Those feelings I cried...
With heartache.
Deep in my chest!
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
Just give me my prize!
Un-itemized it.
It's mine to own.
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
It's mine to own.
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
It's mine to own.
Just,
Give me my prize I accept it.
It's mine to own.
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
My own.
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
My own.
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
My own.
Just give me my prize,
I accept it.
It's mine alone!

Validity
i will accept the validity
of your religious view when...
you lay down your guns,
and start feeding the hungry!
i will accept the validity
of your political view when...
by your actions you show your primary
concerns to be poverty and homelessness.
i will accept the validity
of your freedom when...
it applies equally to all,
regardless of skin color.
i will accept the validity
of your humanitarian view when...
you take all men as brothers,
and walk with compassion.

A decline in courage may be the most striking feature that an outside observer notices in the West today. The Western world has lost its civic courage, both as a whole and separately, in each country, in each government, in each political party, and, of course, in the United Nations. Such a decline in courage is particularly noticeable among the ruling and intellectual elites...

Why Can't We Accept This
Let's raise our conscious levels up,
From dusty covered ruts.
Why can't we accept,
Times lived..
Have gone bye-bye!
To leave behind those tears,
Dripping from red eyes.
Why can't we accept this.
To forgive and forget!
And,
Why can't we accept...
A happiness without regrets.
Why can't we accept...
A happiness without regrets.
Why can't we accept this,
To forgive and forget!
Why can't we accept,
Times lived..
Have gone bye-bye!
To leave behind those tears,
Dripping from red eyes.
Why can't we accept this,
To forgive and forget!
And,
Why can't we accept...
A happiness without regrets.
Why can't we accept this...
And dry those tears we cry.
Why can't we accept,
Times lived..
Have gone bye-bye!
Why can't we accept this,
To forgive and forget!
And,
Why can't we accept...
A happiness without regrets.
Why can't we accept this!
Why are we so disconnected.
Why can't we accept this!
Why are we so,
Misdirected.
Why can't we accept this!
Why are we so disconnected.
Why can't we accept this!
Why are we so misdirected.
Does heightened violence increase peace?
Where has that been shown effective.
When a violence from one leaves,
People then feel free to breathe.
Does heightened violence increase peace?
Where has that been shown effective.
When a violence from one leaves,
People then feel free to breathe.
Why are we so misdirected.
Nobody feels free to breathe.
Why are we so misdirected.
Nobody feels free to breathe.
Why can't we accept this!
Why are we so disconnected.
Why can't we accept this!
Why are we so misdirected.
Why can't we accept this.
Why can't we accept it...
We have been so disconnected.
And misdirected.

Someone Needs to Inform Them
Personally...
I find it quite awkward,
To have them standing on the sidelines
Discussing the decline of their quality of life!
And now they come into the urban areas,
Looking for artists to disguise their vacancies.
This is what they do...
'To connect'.
I didn't mind it at all when the call was specifically,
To throw some paint on the empty buildings!
But now they want their faces painted to disguise their tears?
And all of this could have been avoided,
If they did not masquerade as they climbed up the ladder...
To shout out directions to those below them.
With the utmost disrespect.
Now they are trying to pretend they were on the look out.
And want to share in artistic profits,
By declaring finder's fees?
They are absolutely gifted in manipulation.
But this time they will have to suffer the consequences,
Of their actions.
And someone needs to inform them...
That the wearing of clown suits in the urban neighborhoods,
Is not a wise decision.
They have been living in isolation so long...
They actually believe some folks will accept them,
As performers from a circus coming to town?
This is not the time to take themselves so seriously!
And those they wish to entertain now...
With this 'sign' of brotherhood,
Are probably not going to find them amusing at all!
Especially when everyone knows,
These same antics were used to speed the decline!
They were dressed like fools.
And that's the way they were treated!
However...
Personally,
I find it quite awkward...
That they would try to ruin my reputation.
To have me appear to be stupid.
And they go to great lengths,
To appear as bigger fools!
Are they in competition to determine,
'Who' is the most ignorant?
I hope not.
Because they have won that,
With no objection expressed.

Not Now Of Your Choosing
You can't accept my life is mine
And that those with whom i spend my time
Are now not of your choosing.
You can't accept that different ways
And different ways of spending days
Are not now of your choosing.
You can't accept its not a war
Not like it was those times before
And no-one now is losing.

I Accept
I decline, to take your wine
But of your hospitality I will partake
As your gesture is true and very kind
So of your joy, I will not forsake.
I will sit with you, the whole night though
As you drink your glass of wine
I can be the student and you the guru
And from that happiness I will not decline.
As I had spoke, I will not smoke
But of your habit you should enjoy
And those words I will not revoke
Though myself smoking it does annoy.
Smoke your smokes, I hope I don't choke
As you puff on your cigarette or cigar
Enjoy that taste with pleasure's awoke
As for your smoking habit I will never debar.
I refuse to eat, any of your foods or meat
But thank you for asking about my appetite
And with that one question to you, I must conclude
That without eating today, I will not die.
So please enjoy your food, as any man would
We can still chat while you are eating
And when you are finished I hope it's understood
That you and I can then start our preaching.
I do agree, that you and I both are free
As we lived our lives the best we could
But then I think as I drink my coffee
Was there other places that we should of stood.
Let's look through the bible, and see what is vital
For man to live and love on this Earth
But then I understand life is but a vicious cycle
It ends and begins with death and birth.
I now say goodbye, please don't sigh
Hopefully someday soon we will chat again
When the sun is out and blue is the sky
And again you my friend I will commend.
I will knock on your door, as I have done before
As I arrive there hopefully as your guest
Then our memories again we will restore
And I will accept, at your own request.

Not a One
I don't accept excuses.
None.
Not a one.
Who do I think I am?
One that does not accept excuses.
Not a one.
Given.
Or forced to take on demand!
I don't accept excuses.
None will I take...
To receive.
Since I don't make them.
For you or anyone,
To believe!
