To stand up on a stage alone with an acoustic guitar requires bravery bordering on heroism. Bordering on insanity.

I'm not good enough to be playin' much acoustic guitar onstage. Man, you gotta get so right; I mean, the tones, the feel, the sound. Plus, acoustic blues guitar is just that much harder on the fingers.

On Visiting Shiridi...
what binds me to them
is the same faith we share
as the winding human length
moves and comes abruptly to a halt
we all wait with the same thought in mind
though routine matters fill the space,
the focus would never shift from mind
and o, what relief for a wink when one stands
in the presincts of his presence
he sits there absorbing all
that nth part of blink is the time
we leave behind our acquired self
to stand there in his presence as we are
let sanity prevail
in this world of ours
fast bordering on insanity
let there be tolerance
let there be love
as my lips mumbled
i was pushed into the outside world...

I'm pursuing soundtrack work in the southern California area and down the line I plan to make a moody, intense acoustic album. Not all acoustic, but an acoustic - oriented guitar record that I've already written most of the material for.

I even played bass for a while. Besides playing electric guitar, I'd also get asked to play some acoustic stuff. But, since I didn't have an acoustic guitar at the time, I used to borrow one from a friend so I could play folk joints.

Before, I was terrified on stage. I only play guitar during the acoustic songs. After a while, you can elicit certain responses from the crowd, like Elvis.
Acoustic Guitar
Who is the guitar?
Who is the player?
One thing I am sure about
I never played with a
Missing wires
Or unadjusted
Acoustic guitar!
I do not even try!
So lady go and adjust yourself,
Your wires,
Your bolts,
Your springs,
Your hands
And check the oil if it needs
To be changed.
Everything looks
Like
A musical chaos.
But,
Sometimes
It comes to my feelings:
An acoustic guitar
Without
Wires
Is like messaging the skin
Of a drum.
So lady,
Tune into yourself
Than tune in me,
So we can
play together
A symphony
Starting from a primitive smiling ritual
To a civilized hungry angry love.

Missy Marble Mabel
Amaranth Acoustic Guitar, hourglass heart, she craved
And wooed fawn family fusion
That, with gorgeous grace, you granted
With no tepid thought of coral red confusion
Which you never expected in the least
Until you countered craggy cordovan contusion.
Arsenic Acoustic Guitar, with no eggshell explanation, disappeared
From salmon sight and kept a loud low profile;
You found the rabid ruse peculiar
Since it featured nowhere in your friendly file
Which together you compiled in drowsy detail
So that neither of you the other could defile.
Almond Acoustic Guitar, the mustard mind with a byzantine bedside
Manner has a heart of murderous, morbid marble
That hides a sarcastic streak
She never put on the teal table
To chart the white way forward
Until asparagus arrangement she chose to disable.

My stuff was more of a folk coffeehouse thing, with more acoustic guitar, just me doing a single, and then adding on instruments and voices, with emphasis on lyrics and singing and light kind of acoustic jazz.
She Went To Germany
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do on your vacation?
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do for relaxation?
Change you name?
Cut your hair?
You can go anywhere.
You deserve some fun and rest.
You deserve the very best.
She went to germany.
Went there without me.
She went to germany.
Left me in misery.
She went to germany.
Gots some style insanity.
She went to germany.
Left me in disharmony.
Why you gonna do?
Why you gonna do?
Why you gonna do that to me baby?
Are you telling me were thru?
Are you telling me were thru?
Are you telling me were thru or is it maybe,
Just another declaration of some female independence,
Or another proclamation to some male friends in attendance.
She went to germany.
Went there without me.
She went to germany.
Left me in misery.
She went to germany.
Gots some style insanity.
She went to germany.
Left me in disharmony.
She eating wurst.
Shes drinking beer.
She loves a crowd, thats what I hear.
She went to germany.
Went there without me.
She went to germany.
Left me in misery.
She went to germany.
Gots some style insanity.
She went to germany.
Left me in disharmony.
She went to germany.
Went there without me.
She went to germany.
Left me in insanity.
She went to germany.
I gots some style in misery.
She went to germany.
Left me in disharmony.

I had different bands. I played with the Acoustic Warriors for the most part, without girl singers. It was the same kind of sound, acoustic guitar, bass, with violin and sometimes accordion, and the guys would sing, that kind of thing.
Some thirty centimetres around me
is the territory bordering my body,
so stranger beware when you draw up close
when we wait in lines and rows
or I might hit or knock even spit thee.

Flamingo Baby
Youre a flamingo
You stand on one leg
Youre a flamingo baby
You hatched from an egg
Well you hold your foot up
So delicately over the sea
And when it comes down
It comes down on me
Well it used to want to hump you
I used to want to rock and roll
I was attracted to your gracefulness
But your surprise sure took its toll
Now I guess Id better go out now
Gonna try to find something new
And all Im left with is this craving
For some flamingo stew
Now the beautys in the gutter
The loveliness is off her throne
In the eyes of the beholder its gone
And now he feels kind of alone
But this feeling its the kind that will shortly pass
Im gonna find myself another bird
And roll on down the grass

On acoustic guitar I tend to stay in the key of D for some reason. On electric guitar I keep basic: C, G, D, and A. The key of D minor is also real good for me.
