Having children is my greatest achievement. It was my saviour. It switched my focus from the outside to the inside. My children are gifts, they remind me of what's important.

You Remind Me Of Gold
Baby, when I think about you
And thats when I think
I think about gold
You remind me of gold
And when I see the sunrise in the sky
And when I hear your brakes come squealing by
I forget
Everything Ive been told
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
Baby I always think about you
I think of the life and glory you hold
You remind me of gold
And even though there was no sun today
And though you are a thousand miles away
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold

Everlasting Abiding Love
Who will infusion write
superbly written proverbial
parable in wisdom verse
Promoting the essential need
of a stock of daily compliments
to store up as a life time larder
Of everlasting abiding love?
Secret recipe for eternal love
is not mythical flame above
Small treasure gifts of kindness
serve to daily alleviate life woes
life serves all such bitter blows
Happiness bright source flames
from true love’s treasure gifts
in times of need this store uplifts
Inspired by the poem ‘Happiness II’ by Juan Olivarez.

The supreme treasure is knowledge, the middle treasure is children, and the lowest treasure is material wealth.
It Can Be Draining
Sometimes it can be draining,
And gets difficult...
To be in the midst,
Of thoughtless people.
Especially those who have aged,
To express less concern.
Or how their whims affect...
The ones who treasure their lessons learned.
At times emotional feelings exposed,
Are received to be ones embittered.
When sharing them amongst those,
Who could care less...
About the depthness of another's experiences.
And how those experiences are addressed,
Each day to expect, accept or reject.
Sometimes it can be draining,
And gets difficult...
To be in the midst,
Of thoughtless people.
Especially those who have aged,
To express less concern.
Or how their whims affect...
The ones who treasure their lessons learned.
It can be draining.
Isolating.
And reflectively disrespecting.

0004 The gifts which gifted on..
This is the story that the tribe,
sitting together crosslegged,
children at their feet,
tell about
the first gift
a man so loved his wife
that one day at that season of the year
when the sun is so low in the sky
that there is fear that it might disappear
and only the wise old men, say
this is the time for hope and prayer
and the sun will return the stronger
and we, the more joyful
this man so loved his wife
that one day he brought home
besides the daily food,
a beautiful thing he found
and gave it to her
because he loved her
and she, overcome by this
new event, kept that
beautiful thing carefully hidden
to remind her of his love
for many years
until one day, because
she loved her son so much that
she in turn gave that beautiful thing
to him
and the moment she handed it
to him, the beautiful thing
shone more brightly than the sun
so bright that he shone too
and the tribe say, they learnt from this
that gifts received are gifts unearned
but come from grace itself; they are not
magic gifts until
you pass them on to someone else
and then you are indeed blest by them
and grace surrounds you as the sun
this is what that tribe say
sitting there crosslegged,
the children at their feet
at this season of the year

The Gifts of Life and Pollution
Nature's gifts are sunny beaches,
Nature's gifts are rocky mountains,
Nature's gifts are vast oceans,
Nature's gifts are the tranquil colors in the rainbow,
Nature's gifts are rain forests,
Nature's gift is life.
Our gifts are oceans filled with toxins,
Our gifts are global warming,
Our gifts are deserted forests,
Our gifts are killed animals,
Our gifts are serious diseases,
Our gift is pollution.

We Each Have Gifts To Us Given
We each have gifts to us given.
God condones alone,
And blesses us with.
They can be shared,
But not transferred...
As if to bargain.
For something else preferred.
Some choose to dismiss those gifts,
For a seeking to find,
Something of value to define.
But everyone is blessed,
With a treasure chest.
And uncovering that to discover,
Is in one's frame of mind.
To eventually appreciate!
And for many this might take time.
With an unwinding that takes patience.

What's so difficult...
What's so difficult,
About the word,
No.
What's so difficult,
About our,
Relationship.
What's so difficult,
About,
Us.
What's so difficult,
About the words,
Stay away.
What's so difficult,
About,
Don't talk to me.
What's so difficult...

Remind My Heart
(k. hain/j. franzel)
Pull back the curtain
Open up the blind
Let the light on the window
I cant close for all this time
I wanted to forget the pain of falling
That you, maybe, remember now
Dreams werent always made to be broken
Chorus:
When you hold me in your arm
Remind my heart
Of the way love should be
In the moment I let go
Remind my heart
That youre really there for me
Like the sun, breaking through the dark
Remind my heart
Ohh, can it be this simple
Can it be this true
All the fears Ive held so long
Swept away by you
Slowly now, you bring me to my senses
And I can feel the warmth again
Of the flame Id thought Ive lost forever
(repeat chorus)
What I missed so long (remind my heart)
Of the tenderness and the feeling you remind (remind my heart)
How love can make you strong
Oh, baby, youre makin me strong
(repeat chorus)
Ohh, in the moment I let go (remind my heart)
Remind my heart, remind my heart
That youre really there for me
Remind my heart
Of the way this love should be
Remind my heart
Remind my heart

Difficult Kind, The
I think I was wrong
I think you were right
That all my angry words
Will keep me up at night
And through the old screen door
I still hear you say
Oh, Honey won't you stop
Treating me that way
[Chorus]
If you could only see
What love has made of me
Then I'd no longer be in your mind
The difficult kind
Cause babe I've changed
Tell it to me slow
Tell me with your eyes
If anyone should know
How to let it slide
I swear I can see you
Coming up the drive
And there ain't nothing like regret
To remind you you're alive
Chorus
I crossed the canyon a thousand times
But never noticed what was mine
What you'll remember of me tonight
Well, it almost makes me cry
Yeah, it almost makes me cry
Oh ballbreaking moon and ridiculing stars
The older I get, the closer you are
Don't you have somewhere that you need to be
Instead of hanging here making a fool of me
If you could only see
What love has made of me
Then I'd no longer be in your mind
The difficult kind
But you won't see the change in me
If you could only see
What love has made of me
But I'll forever be in your mind
The difficult kind
But you won't see
No you won't see
The good in me
But babe I've changed
Cause babe I've changed

Remind Me
Turn off that charm
Im through with love for awhile
Im through and yet, you have a fabulous smile
So if I forget
Remind me
Not to find you so attractive
Remind me
That the world is full of men
When I start to miss you
To touch your hand
To kiss you
Remind me
To count to ten
I had a feeling when I met you
Youd drive me crazy if I let you
But all my efforts to forget you
Remind me Im in love again
I get my heart, well in hand, and Im certain
That I can take you, or leave you alone
Then you begin that beguine again
And boom, I give in , again
I have a will made of steel, my friend
But when it seems about to bend
Remind me
Not to mention that I love you
Remind me
To be sorry that we met
Although I adore you
Remind me to ignore you
Youre one thing I will regret
So when your charm begins to blind me
Ill simply tie my hands behind me
Dont let me kiss you please, remind me
Unless, my darling, you forget

Looking at You
I feel abundantly blessed.
God has turned me around,
To enjoy the spreading
Of a radiant light.
I kept behind my back...
And out of sight.
I like this very much.
This does not mean...
Times have gotten less difficult.
It's just that I pretend I don't notice the difficult times.
This works for the kind of mind I'm entrusted with.
One that believes dreams come true.
I don't have to know 'when' the hour they begin!
All I have to know is they do!
And looking at you proves,
This to be no illusion!

You Remind Me
Yooouuu remind me, yeah
You remind me of such sweet memories
Oooohhh
I saw you before baby
Its a deja vu honey
Dont you know that you remind me
I saw you before baby
Its a deja vu honey
Dont you know that you remind me
You, you remind me of a love that I once knew
Is it a dream or is it deja vu
I just had to let you know
So I had to sing it
Cause for you boy I dont know
The way you walk and
The way you talk and
The way you move and
You remind me, yes you do
Of the way you dress and
The way you dance and
You really like to groove it
You remind me
You remind me, yeah
And this is something you should know
Sweet baby darling cmon just stop playin with my mind
Cause for you boy I dont know
(the way)
The way you walk and
(the way)
The way you talk and
(the way)
You really like to move it
(the way)
The way you dress and
(the way)
The way you dance and
(the way)
You really like to groove it
You remind me
You remind me
And the way you walk and
The way tou talk and
The way you move it
You remind me, yes you do
The way you dress and
The way you dance and
You realy like to groove it
You remind me
You remind me
I saw you
I saw you before baby

Reminds Me Of You
A bunch of dead flowers, kept in a vase
And its all that remind me of you
Why do I keep them, well might you ask
Theyre all that remind me of you
Two seperate people, two seperate ways
And I hope they may pass again
Withered and dead like, your love for me
And theyre all that remind me of you
Once fresh and green now no, honey for the bee
Theyre all that remind me of you
A bunch of dead flowers kept in a vase
And theyre all that remind me of you
Why do I keep them, well might you ask
Theyre all that remind me of you
Theyre all that remind me of you
Theyre all that remind me of you

Everything That 'Is' Has Its Limits
It is difficult to agonize through change.
Or to let go of those comforts,
Knowing the familiar will not be the same.
It is difficult to grow,
Around many who fear the doing of it.
While they choose to sit and reminisce,
The times they miss and wish to revisit.
It is difficult to agonize through change.
Or to let go of those comforts,
Knowing the familiar will not be the same.
It is difficult to witness,
Seasons come and go.
But everything that 'is' has its limits.
No matter who denies that this is so.

Children On Christmas Morning
Jubilant children on Christmas morning
is a worthy and memorable spectacle to see,
with their faces flushed and eyes widened
staring at the gifts beneath the tinsel tree.
Such active and anxious children they seem
to be awed and breathless in seeing the sight,
speculating about the contents of each gift
beneath the evergreen's glowing lights.
All children are surprisingly amusing
as they go about their merry way,
while the living room rings with laughter
on this mystical glory of Christmas Day.
All ribbons unraveled, no box unopened,
gifts and wrappings scattered everywhere.
Still, the children remain thrilled and happy,
not a single worry nor a worldly care.
Christmas morning is special to all children
and the great joy and pleasure it always brings.
They are the reason for parental pride and love
and all of Christmas morning's adorable things.
There's always a bit of serene music in the air
that brings a pleasant smile on every child's face
as they hurriedly open their revered gifts
in the midst of the room's most storied place.

Loving Power
Throughout the good times and the bad times that caused smiles or tears.
I need to say thank you because you have helped through
those times a lot over the last few years.
During those times you reminded that I should have hope.
To take those problems and I need to be strong and learn how to cope.
It is hard not to have you here but my memories of happiness
because of everything that it brings.
And I will always have you in my heart and it will remind me of a lot of things.
This is why my thoughts you will never go away no matter what hour
Because of you, I feel your Loving Power.
