All elections revolve around and are often resolved by who raises the most money. That's unfair. I'd like to see that process changed, but it seems once you win and get to Congress, that doesn't happen.

When Money Is Involved
When money is involved...
Titles are of no importance.
Elections conducted,
Are to seduce the proletariat.
With dangling carrots.
To increase desires to reach.
But known they will never get.
And those right to vote notions,
Set into motion...
Are to squelch protests.
To quiet perceptions of divisions,
Between the ones feeling disenfranchised.
And others of special interests to be kept.
Yet...
Eventually,
The one who has the money wins.
And a running done to gain notoriety,
Has little or no meaning to them.
To take opinionated positions,
Based upon a popularity given...
Is not a game for them to play.
Not in a conventional public way.
When money is involved?
Those who have it decide who plays.
To leave a process believed fair,
Made quite simple.
Those who have the cash,
Are not concerned about talking trash.
Since what takes place,
Where and when...
All of it,
Dispensed.
Still delivers a guaranteed return,
On their investments.

Permanent Bureaucrasy
The permanent bureaucracy takes over though we are agog,
Soon after an election we have to go back into the fog,
And all decisions are arms-length so no one is now involved,
And nothing or no one can change the system to be resolved.
It seems there is nothing we can do about lying politicians,
As they tax and spend and ban binding-referendum conditions,
No compulsory voting where death with dignity is banned,
Elections and appointments and no one seems to give a damn.
Media in league and no questions please, as we get what we deserve,
And why can't we do something about it as we sit and observe?
Is this the reason why only half the Canadians bother to vote?
Or is it because they live out in the woods and are very remote?
Is it possible we could get death with dignity and recall?
I mean recall of pompous lying politicians in the hall,
What about set-date elections which they seem to have forgotten?
