Any subject is good for opera if the composer feels it so intently he must sing it out.

Like any other composer of opera, I choose a subject not for polemical reasons, but because it contains vivid characters in highly charged dramatic situations.

Feels So Good
Feels good
Im stranded on a spaceship hideaway
And something makes me think Im here to stay
Im so happy where I am
Feels good
Ive journeyed to the other atmospheres
And every breath I take just makes it clear
Im holding heaven in my hands
Its automatic baby and it feels good
And it feels so good
Feels good
And it feels so good
Feels good
These extra-sensory sensations
Are causing me some complications
Electrostatic information
Feels good
Im playing with a pleasure trafficker
Arriving soon intergalactica
Im holding heaven in my hands
Its automatic baby and it feels good
Feels good

Opera Singer
I am an Opera Singer
I stand on painted Tape
It tells me where I'm going
And where to throw my cape
I call my co-star's brother
I call my co-star's name
I play both good and evil parts
I sing to Verdi's play
And every single morning
By 10 AM I'm dressed
My rehearsals last for hours and hours
With diligence I have been blessed
Some people they call me monster
Some people they call me saint
My talent feeds my darker side
Yet no one will complain
I am an opera singer
I sing in foreign lands
I've sung for kings in Europe
And emperors in Japan
And after each performance
People stand around and wave
Just to tell me that they love my voice
Just to tell me that I'm great
I am an opera singer
I will sing when you're all dead
I sing the mountains crumbling apart
I sing what can't be said
I am an opera singer
I sing in foreign lands
Most people seem to know my name
Or at least know who I am

That was my way, and I also use the music after five years, I started hearing opera, opera, it was very good instrument to keep the spirit very strong because you feel like you are yourself singing opera, and I used to hear a lot of opera, they send me tapes.

When my opera Plump Jack was performed in 1989, my first piano teacher sent me something that I'd composed when I was four. I remember I played it, and it still sounded like me. I'm the same composer I was then.

I think the composer and production staff of an opera have a real responsibility to use visual elements of all kinds to make clear to the American audience, at any rate, exactly what is going on.

We consider Monteverdi the first composer of opera. There was someone before, but everything started with Monteverdi.

I find respect for a mediocre British composer, as opposed to a really good American, ridiculous because they automatically respect a composer if he's from England.

I think it was just an opera. Now, you go to opera, you expect to see and hear what the opera is. So, it was Catfish Row. It was singers. Marvelous voices. It didn't make no difference what color they were.

Because, in opera, I have to sing for people that are very far from me, instead of, when I sing a song, I try to imagine to sing like in an ear of a child.

Sing
Sing, sing a song
Sing out loud
Sing out strong
Sing of good things not bad
Sing of happy not sad
(*) sing, sing a song
Make it simple to last
Your whole life long
Dont worry that its not
Good enough for anyone
Else to hear
Just sing, sing a song
La la la la la
La la la la la la...
Sing, sing a song
Let the world sing along
Sing of love there could be
Sing for you and for me
Repeat (*)

Sure Feels Good To Me
Well Suize, Oh Suzie
Come on and let me in
There's love in the air
Love on my mind
Love in the pores of my skin
I worked real hard, all week long
Kept on singin' the same damn song
It's one for the money
Two for the show
Paid on Friday and I'm ready to go
CHORUS
And if I'm wrong or if I'm right
I don't give a damn tonight
You bring out the worst in me
Huh, cuz you might be bad
But shure feels good to me
it sure feels good to me
Sure feels good
Sure feels good to me
You think i'm outrageous
You think i'm insane
But everything I'm doing tonight
I'm doing it screaming your name
Suzie, Oh Suzie, open up the door
We wont be able to walk tomorrow
So we might as well do it some more
Chorus
You bring out the beast in me
It might be dirty and it might be bad
but it sure feels good
sure feels good to me
Yeah, sure feels good to me

Feels So Good
It feels so good
I knew that it would
Nothing's gonna take this day away
Cos it feels so nice
Oh so right
Nothing's gonna take this day away
Was only yesterday
I tried to get away
And now this feeling makes you turn around
I was so very sure
What I was wishing for
And now my feet can hardly touch the ground
Cos the sun is shining
Holiday timing
I needed something to rescue me
Feeling ordinary
Now I'm ready
So come on with me
Cos
It feels so good
I knew that it would
Nothing's gonna take this day away
Cos it feels so nice
Oh so right
Nothing's gonna take this day away
I'm where I wanna be
Life in so bottle me
I took my cares
And left them all behind
I had to get away
Deal with them another day
They're outta sight and out of mind
Cos the sun's still shining
No denying
Something came along to rescue me
Feeling ordinary
Now I'm ready
So come on with me
It feels so good
I knew that it would
Nothing's gonna take this day away
Cos it feels so nice
Oh so right
Nothing's gonna take this day away
It's just what I needed
It's an emotional healing
It's a wonderful feeling
Nothing left to lose
Yeah
Cos it feels so good
I knew that it would
Nothing's gonna take this day away
Cos it feels so nice
Oh so right
Nothing's gonna take this day away
Cos it feels so good
I knew that it would
Nothing's gonna take this day away
Cos it feels so nice
Oh so right
Nothing's gonna take this day away
Cos it feels so good
I knew that it would
Nothing's gonna take this day away
Cos it feels so nice
Oh so right
Nothing's gonna take this day away
