Be Sensitive To The Arena

Mere presence will be a disturbance,
And then a nuisance when with someone.
Before warranting its expulsion by him
Be sensitive to the situation.

He is an idiot.

There are circumstances
Where presence is a disturbance,
Helps a nuisance, gifts a waste
And advice an intrusion.
One is an idiot not to know this.

The lesser of two evils.

Do gooders have done their best.
To end effective punishment.
Although their ideas fail the test.
Let criminals do as they please.

They’re well aware they’ll get away
with almost any kind of crime.
In the lawless world of today.
In my opinion it’s past time.

To reintroduce discipline.
The birch, the cat and yes the rope.
Society must redefine
soft options which cannot cope.

With those that choose to break the law
To other peoples detriment.
The only way is to restore
a healthy fear of punishment.

The general public would agree
to bring back corporal punishment.
Including the Death Penalty.
But can’t convince the government.

Who fear adverse publicity
and lack the moral fibre to
protect all of society.
Instead of favouring the few.

Who batten on the rest of us
Because the Government daren’t act.
Their arguments are spurious.
I see this as established fact.

Perhaps mine is a biased view.
I could be wrong I must confess.
The question which I put to you.
Do you agree: Say no or yes.

I Love You Honey But I Hate Your Friends

Words and music by rick nielsen
I love you honey but I hate your friends
I love you honey but theyll be the end of me
Oh yeah
I love you honey but I hate those friends
That fat cat frank got a heart of gold
Hes got a head of lead, hes young but he acts old
That limp wristed two-fisted diplomat
Better draw a map, to see where hes at
Around and round when he rambles on
bout the latest deal we should be in on
We shouldnt give him the time of day
He doesnt give a damn if we sink or swim
I love you honey but I hate your friends
I love you honey but theyll be the end of me
Oh yeah
I love you honey but I hate your friends
Did some toot, yeah we had a blow
Look man, no holes, real nose
When he says hi he really means the moon
He was there long before armstrong
He stays loose, he says, fill her up
For eternal youth from those swiss docs.
Hes thirty but he feels like sixteen
Check it out: yep, hundred-n-sixteen!
I love you honey but I hate your friends
I love you honey but theyll be the end of me
Oh yeah
I love you honey, lets dance
I love you honey but I hate your friends
I love you honey but theyll be the end of me
Oh yeah yeah
I love you honey but I hate your friends
Lets see, theres miss tique and miss informed
General disaster, mister know-it-all
Missus a lot and private stock
Corporal punishment bout to blow his mind
Mister mock, mister completely,
Miss de plot, miss story,
Mister call, mister de gaulle,
The aging mister martin and that aint all
I love you honey but I hate your friends
I love you honey but theyll be the end of me
Oh yeah
I love you honey but I hate those friends
I love you honey but I hate your friends
I love you honey but theyll be the end of me
Oh yeah
I love you honey but I hate your friends
I love you honey but I hate your friends
They love your money
But theyll be the end of me, oh yeah
I love you honey but I hate your friends

Orange peel

THE COLONEL stopped, and glared around,
Then, pointing sternly to the ground,
‘What does this mean?’ demanded he,
‘A piece of orange peel I see!’
The Major called the Captain then,
And said, ‘By Gad! Your fault again!
Now what the blazes do you mean
By letting all this filth be seen?’

The Captain sniffed, but took the snub,
Then, calling to the junior Sub.,
Observed, ‘Look here, what’s all this mess?
It’s fit for pigs, sir, nothing less!’

The junior Sub. blushed crimson red,
Then, to the Sergeant-major, said,
‘I’m quite fed up, and all that rot!
I mean to say a pigsty! What?’

The Sergeant-major, filled with rage,
Attacked the Sergeant at this stage,
‘You careless swab! jump to it smart.
Oh strewth! You break my blinkin ’eart!’

The Sergeant, starting in to
Apostrophized the Corporal, thus,
‘You lazy, lumberin’, boss-eyed lout!
Who chucked this crimson fruit about?’

The Corporal frowned, and turned his eye
On Private Atkins passing by;
‘Hi! you! Come ’ere, you slobberin’ sweep,
Just shift this festerin’ rubbish ’eap!’

And Private Atkins, filled with gloom,
Applied himself with spade and broom:
‘They talk a ruddy lot,’ Quothe he,
‘But ’oo does all the work? Why me’

The child that does not disturb, nor request,
Nor expect, is a good child to father.
The God has no disturbance from atheists.
The theists are a nuisance, God may hold.

General John

The bravest names for fire and flames
And all that mortal durst,
Were GENERAL JOHN and PRIVATE JAMES,
Of the Sixty-seventy-first.

GENERAL JOHN was a soldier tried,
A chief of warlike dons;
A haughty stride and a withering pride
Were MAJOR-GENERAL JOHN'S.

A sneer would play on his martial phiz,
Superior birth to show;
"Pish!" was a favourite word of his,
And he often said "Ho! ho!"

FULL-PRIVATE JAMES described might be,
As a man of a mournful mind;
No characteristic trait had he
Of any distinctive kind.

From the ranks, one day, cried PRIVATE JAMES,
"Oh! MAJOR-GENERAL JOHN,
I've doubts of our respective names,
My mournful mind upon.

"A glimmering thought occurs to me
(Its source I can't unearth),
But I've a kind of a notion we
Were cruelly changed at birth.

"I've a strange idea that each other's names
We've each of us here got on.
Such things have been," said PRIVATE JAMES.
"They have!" sneered GENERAL JOHN.

"My GENERAL JOHN, I swear upon
My oath I think 'tis so - "
"Pish!" proudly sneered his GENERAL JOHN,
And he also said "Ho! ho!"

"My GENERAL JOHN! my GENERAL JOHN!
My GENERAL JOHN!" quoth he,
"This aristocratical sneer upon
Your face I blush to see!

"No truly great or generous cove
Deserving of them names,
Would sneer at a fixed idea that's drove
In the mind of a PRIVATE JAMES!"

Said GENERAL JOHN, "Upon your claims
No need your breath to waste;
If this is a joke, FULL-PRIVATE JAMES,
It's a joke of doubtful taste.

"But, being a man of doubtless worth,
If you feel certain quite
That we were probably changed at birth,
I'll venture to say you're right."

So GENERAL JOHN as PRIVATE JAMES
Fell in, parade upon;
And PRIVATE JAMES, by change of names,
Was MAJOR-GENERAL JOHN.

Peace Proposal

Said General Clay to General Gore really must we fight this silly war
To kill and die in such a bore I quite agree said General Gore
Said General Gore to General Clay we could go to the beach today
And have some icecream on the way a grand idea said General Clay
Said General Clay to General Gore we'll build sand castles on the shore
Said General Gore we'll splash and play let's leave right now said General Clay
Said General Gore to General Clay but what if the sea's closed today
And what if the sand's been blown away the dreadful thought said General Clay
Said General Gore to General Clay I've always feared the ocean's spray
And we may drown it's true we may it chills my blood said General Clay
Said General Clay to General Gore my bathin' suit is slightly tore
We better go on with our war I quite agree said General Gore
The General Clay chanrged General Gore as bullets flew and cannons roared
And now at last there is no more of General Clay or General Gore
