Next to a sincere compliment, I think I like a well-deserved and honest rebuke.

We get that we deserve.
We are governed no better than we deserved.
We are cursed no better than we deserved.
What happened to us is what we deserved.

Almost Honest
I lied just a little
When I said I need you
You stretched the truth
When you said that you knew
Just cant believe it
Theres nothing to say
I was almost honest, almost
Living alone, cant stand this place
Its four in the morning and I still see your face
I was nearly pure
When I said I loved you
You were semi-sincere
You said Id bleed for you
We were kind of candid
Now youve gone away
You were almost honest, almost
Living alone, falling from grace
I want to be alone but theres just empty space
I cant face tomorow, now youre not coming back
Walked off in the night and just left me the tracks
I question your call by the tone of your voice
I know I should hang up but I dont have a choice
It happend that night when you told me to go
Dont ask whos to blame, I dont know
Almost, almost honest
Almost, I was almost honest

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

The biggest compliment to me is that guys really approach me and they have a connection with me, so there must be something I'm doing that is authentic, otherwise they wouldn't connect with me so strongly. It's a real compliment.

Not compromising the music, but there is a way, by just showing the people that you're sincere and honest with what you're doing, and by talking to them.

So then, when I speak to you, I speak to myself. If I seem to warn or to rebuke you, it is not so much you, as myself, to whom the warning or the rebuke is addressed.

Build Trust Slowly
We are afraid to get punished so we tell a lie,
we start to hide what we feel inside.
Honesty should be encouraged
without remorse,
Don't punish your kids for being honest of course.
Real relationships are honest and sincere,
they don't play games, lie out of fear.
Me I say too much to someone who doesn't deserve,
then they turn around and use it to hurt.
So build trust slowly don't say too much too soon,
you have to find out if the other person is a loon.

We deserved it. I mean, if you get a pummeling, you deserved it. But isn't it wonderful to remember a time that America was once so innocent that all we had to worry about was the next ""Batman"" movie?

Ever since I was a child I have had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one's potential.

I have a prejudice against people who print things in a foreign language and add no translation. When I am the reader, and the other considers me able to do the translating myself, he pays me the quite a nice compliment-- but if he would do the translating for me I would try to get along without the compliment. Compliments
I've been told that I am thoughtful,
that my feet are on the ground.
Some say that I am likeable
and fun to be around.
It's been said that to my principles
I stand firm and true.
That I'm dependable and honest
In the things I say and do.
But the single greatest compliment
that I have ever had,
Is when somebody told me,
"You remind me of your dad."

Are You Sincere?
The words you said to me,
you repeat to someone new.
You say the things I want to hear,
but are you sincere?
I sit alone and wonder,
if your words are meant for me,
that I am the only one that you hold dear.
However, my mind keeps nagging, are you sincere?
Friends tell me stories about you,
I do not want to believe.
You just say the words are all lies.
In my mind the questions still arise, are you sincere?
I find the back door open,
when I come home at night.
You say you left it open in a state of fear.
As I close and lock it I wonder, are you sincere?
