Being an artist is dragging your innermost feelings out, giving a piece of yourself, no matter in which art form, in which medium.

The use of the term art medium is, to say the least, misleading, for it is the artist that creates a work of art not the medium. It is the artist in photography that gives form to content by a distillation of ideas, thought, experience, insight and understanding.

Medium

Medium, medium.
Waking up I smell the scent of coffee on the brew,
And I think about the amount of the sweet,
Id like to have in my cup today.
One for the two lump, three lump, four.
No half of one, no less no more.
Just give me a chance, let me make it mine.
Id like a medium blend of that piece of pie.
Not too bitter, not too sweet... medium.
Just enough to ? ? ? ... medium.
Not too bitter, not too sweet... medium.
Just enough to ? ? ? ... medium.
Dinner time just rolls around,
And I think I crave a steak but,
Im not too partial to the meat,
When its cooked too long and Im made to wait.
Not too much of the parsony,
And just enough of the spice.
I think Id enjoy a medium-rare dish with a side of fries.
Not too tender, not too tough... medium.
Not too little, just enough... medium.
Not too tender, not too tough... medium.
Not too little, just enough... medium.
Medium. medium. medium. medium. just a medium. medium.
? ? ? and I smell the pits but ? ? ? ? ? .
I couldve sworn a ? ? ? last week and scrubbed like ? ? ? .
I like to stink just a little bit,
Just to keep you on your toes yes.
The more I stink the more I think,
That you smell like a rose.
Not too pleasant, not too bad... medium.
Just enough to hold my ? ? ? ... medium.
Not too pleasant, not too bad... medium.
Just enough to hold my ? ? ? ... medium.
Medium. medium. medium. medium. medium. medium.

Forest Whitaker

Until film is just as easily accessible as a pen or pencil, then it's not completely an art form. In painting you can just pick up a piece of chalk, a stick or whatever. In sculpture you can get a rock. Writing you just need a pencil and paper. Film has been a very elitist medium. It costs so much money. It doesn't allow everyone who wants to tell stories tell stories. The great storytellers however are going to rise to the top, no matter what.

Giving Up On Love

Rick astley
Giving up on love
Giving up on love
I was so crazy about you, everyone knew
I couldnt sleep when I found out, yeah
You feel the way you do
So maybe its my turn now
To show you how I feel
So listen to what I say
cos these feelings I cant conceal
Im giving up on love
cos Ive been hurt before
Giving up on love
And I dont want you no more
Im giving up on love
cos Ive been hurt before
Giving up on love
And I dont want you no more
I dont believe that you need me
So dont say you do
There aint no reason for staying
We both know we are through
So dont try to stop me now
cos all we had has gone
(all we had has gone)
So listen to what I say
cos these feelings are oh so strong
Im giving up on love
cos Ive been hurt before
Giving up on love
And I dont want you no more
Im giving up on love
cos Ive been hurt before
Giving up on love
And I dont want you no more
Giving up, giving up, giving up on love
Giving up, giving up, giving up on love
Giving up, giving up, giving up on love
Giving up, giving up, giving up on love
So dont try to stop me now
cos all we had has gone
(all we had has gone)
So listen to what I say
cos these feelings are oh so strong
(choruses to fade)

Fitting in

Have you ever felt like the last piece of the puzzle?

A piece that did not fit in because it was too different or little.

No matter what you can't fit in because something sets you apart.

What if everyone abandoned you.

Maybe you aren't pretty, handsome or smart.

You might not like going along with the crowd.

If so you have a reason to be proud.

Whats more important fitting in or giving in?

God has a place where you can fit in.

God can give you more joy than you can hold.

Its all about having faith in something far greater.

God's bible can make your future brighter.

In Gods puzzle you are never the last piece in.

So be glad you did not fit in.

Quatrain #292 - A poet is an artist who..........

A poet is an artist who paints images with words cast on the canvas of our mind
and uses expressions to make a point or evoke feelings of some particular kind.
A poem then is the handiwork of a poet who is usually inspired or otherwise,
being the medium through which he or she reveal themselves to peoples eyes.

Creation is dominated by three absolutely different factors: First, nature, which works upon us by its laws; second, the artist, who creates a spiritual contact with nature and his materials; third, the medium of expression through which the artist translates his inner world.

Eight

I do not indulge in this form of esoteric
Teachings, like the doctrines of Pythagoras
Or Aristotle,

Recondite,
I do not have some secrets now to hide,
What for? There is nothing private in me,
There is nothing worthy of confidentiality

This is not a poetry that is full of esoteric
Allusions to be understood only by the select
Few. What for? What for really?

There is nothing cryptic to the good that I must
Do for you, as one good man is wont to do for
Another good man,

For the good is open handed, it is not a closed
Fist, the fingers that behave like crumpled paper

I am opening like my fingers to the sky
Like a bud of this little white flower to see the sun

In fact, if you read me through and through
I am revealing myself through and through

Piece by piece layer by layer like you are
Going to the innermost me, there is no enigma

At the end and you may regret it though
I may not have cautioned you,
There are only drops of tears trapped in there

Salty and if you taste it, can be really sour.

An old guard

She is old guard but fine blend of new generation
May be she is rich in her experience and has found elevation
This is and lovely occasion and very good indication
A lady in her seventies is up for her views propagation

It is for us to evaluate and understand the theme
How she does it in artistic way in very good scheme
Be it poetry, painting or philosophical presentation
She deserves fine applaud and worth citation

What an artist feel after completion of his mission?
The soul in artist may just go happily for any admission
As colors are not filled with the proper back ground
She has immense joy with her piece and found

She has written and re-written the whole exercise
Given final touch before giving any elevation or rise
It is nearing to perfection with enough of input
No resentment or adverse thing can make cross cut

She has lots of ideas in mind but need synchronization
She can translate it into act of self revelation
It may emerge as if spoken from deep heart
Well this is what is termed as pure form of an art

She has unfinished dream to take care of
It is about vast sky, free air and so much to laugh at
It may assume the shape of piece one day
She has to catch with time for display

I move with her fancy views
She is recognized idol and honor is due
If I can contribute little in her fame
Even if late but it has come on her name

A Painted House Is Like A Poem.

In a way-A house painter is like a poet...
The house painter or average person just might not know it.

A lot of cleaning, sanding and preparation of the surface takes care and time...
Compositions, editing and thought polishes the rhyme.

When finished, they both are a work of art...
A lot of sweat and work is done by the artist's own part.

In the end, a finished polished piece...
Makes the artist, happy and at peace.

The work is finally done...
What hard work, finished-Now
feelings of enjoyed fun.

At Least Im Known For Something

Im in and out of conversation
Its hard to keep my attention
Locked down
So dont take offense
To anything I say
I tried so hard to keep you
Coming back my way
But you dont know the half
And Im the one to blame for it
Cause Im best known for failure
Best knows for giving up
Theres nothing I could say
That could matter
That could matter enough x2
I figured out my situation
I am an endless source
Of useless information
Give me bad news cause
Its already been expected
I let my front down and
I know I will regret it
But you dont know the half
And im the one to blame for it
Cause im best knows for failure
Best known for giving up
Theres nothing that i could say
That could matter
That could matter enough x2
Lets get down
To business now
Im saving myself
The trouble in the end x2
But you dont know the half
And Im the one to blame for it
Cause im best known for failure
Best known for giving up
Theres nothing that I could say
And Im the one to blame for it
Yeah Im the one to blame
Best known for failure
Best known for giving up
Theres nothing i could say
That could matter
That could matter enough

Life Is Not Measured By Its Length

i know you know that life is not measured by its length
or its width
lest it simply becomes a piece of
cube
a matter of furniture
or even a block of wood
lest it becomes so ordinary

with a depth that you can measure
so easily

in truth life has nothing to do with numbers
first, second,
one, two and three and there you claim that you have life

life is quality my dear
it is giving your best shot
giving up
life for a reason for a cause for those you value most
for those you love

and then when all the reasons are lost
when all your loved ones left you
when there is nothing greater
to believe
when nothing is worth living anymore

i will ask you: where can life be?
there is none anymore

it has become a piece of junk
worth throwing
in your garbage can
or keeping it in dusty garage or the mezzanine
always hoping that someday
it may still be worth the stay

A Few Easy Pieces

Piece of this
piece of that

Peace and bliss,
Piece of crap

Peace of mind,
Piece of cake,

piece of work
Piece of steak,

Piece of eight
Piece of the action

Piece of the pie
Peace and satisfaction

Piece in the valley
Piece of glass

piece of my mind
Piece of a….

That’s quite enough now! ! !
Let’s quit this dance

Let’s stop while we’re ahead…
Let’s Give peace a chance
