In brief, Western democracy, as other political models, is not exportable to all regions of the world.

Democracy doesn't recognize east or west; democracy is simply people's will. Therefore, I do not acknowledge that there are various models of democracy; there is just democracy itself.

What Democracy?
Media moguls announce our democracy every day,
It's only natural because this is Canada, they say,
Even though we're not allowed to elect someone to our Senate,
So much for our democracy on our Canadian planet.
And appointees to the Supreme Court come from a secret list,
So secret that we are forbidden to read, help or assist,
And death with dignity is completely and utterly forbidden,
They did it to Sue Rodriguez and the reasons were hidden.
We have no recall for drunken or idiot politicians,
These aristocrats can't be recalled because of their positions,
Therefore they want to maintain the political status quo,
So much for our democracy in this political game show.

Democracy without democracy
India is a democracy,
With many political parties,
Which practice no democracy
But sustain dynastic rules.
It is worse than monarch
In that looting is on routine.

Democracy is a political method, that is to say, a certain type of institutional arrangement for arriving at political - legislative and administrative - decisions and hence incapable of being an end in itself.

The Western world, the free world, loses what it cherishes most, and that is freedom and liberty we've seen for a couple of hundred years in this grand experiment that we call democracy.

Unfortunately, the true force which propels our endless political disputes, our constant struggles for political advantage, is often not our burning concern for democracy, it is often of our dedication to the principle of the rule of law.

Our democracy, our constitutional framework is really a kind of software for harnessing the creativity and political imagination for all of our people. The American democratic system was an early political version of Napster.
Personally, I'm in favor of democracy, which means that the central institutions of society have to be under popular control. Now, under capitalism, we can't have democracy by definition. Capitalism is a system in which the central institutions of society are in principle under autocratic control. Thus, a corporation or an industry is, if we were to think of it in political terms, fascist that is, it has tight control at the top and strict obedience has to be establishedat every level--there's little bargaining, a little give and take, but the line of authority is perfectly straightforward. Just as I'm opposed to political fascism, I'm opposed to economic fascism. I think that until the major institutions of society are under the popular control of participants and communities, it's pointless to talk about democracy.

Political World
We live in a political world
Where love dont have any place
Were living in times where men commit crimes
And crime dont have a face
We live in a political world
Icicles hangin down
Wedding bells ring and angels sing
And clouds cover up the ground
We live in a political world
Wisdom is thrown into jail
It rots in a cell misguided as hell
Leaving no one to pick up the trail
We live in a political world
Where mercy walks the plank
Life is in mirrors, death disappears
Up the steps into the nearest bank
We live in a political world
Courage is a thing of the past
Houses are haunted, children arent wanted
Your next day could be your last
We live in a political world
The one we can see and feel
But theres no one to check, its all a stacked deck
We all know for sure that its real
We live in a political world
The cities are a lonesome fear
Little by little, you turn in the middle
Youre never sure why youre here
We live in a political world
Under the microscope
You could travel anywhere and hang yourself there
Youve always got more than enough rope
We live in a political world
Turning and a-thrashing about
As soon as youre awake youre trained to take
What looks like the easy way out
We live in a political world
Where peace is not welcome at all
Its turned away from the door to wander some more
Or put up against the wall
We live in a political world
Everythings hers and his
Climb into the flame and shout gods name
But youre not even sure what it is

Normatively the Western universalist belief posits that people throughout the world should embrace Western values, institutions, and culture because they embody the highest, most enlightened, most liberal, most rational, most modern, and most civilized thinking of humankind. In the emerging world of ethnic conflict and civilizational clash, Western belief in the universality of Western culture suffers three problems: it is false; it is immoral; and it is dangerous.

Oil & Democracy
Democracy and Oil
When rebels wave the magic banner of democracy,
the west acts blindly like a troll caught in daylight.
They run around and holler democracy and fig leaf,
Norway drops bomb for the sake of peace. History
for those who care to read, it is hundred years ago
that Italian air-force dropped bombs over Libya.
Small, small bombs, yet big enough to kill women
and children on the ground. Gaddafi, a low hanging
fruit must go; Oil must be democratically privatized-
given to the big oil companies- And that what this
war is all about...sole western access to energy.
