By increasing the size of the keyhole, today's playwrights are in danger of doing away with the door.

Danger

There is danger atop our heads;
There is danger around us all;
There is danger beneath our feet;
There is danger to man and beast!

There is danger in the skies;
There is danger in the seas;
There is danger ev’n on land;
There is danger to man and beast!

There is danger from earth’s bowels;
There is danger in forests;
There is danger in hills, vales;
There is danger to man and beast!

There is danger from our brethren;
There is danger from kith, kin;
There is danger from strangers;
There is danger to man and beast!

There is danger within us;
There is danger from space;
There is danger to our soul;
Nevertheless, God protects us.

Headlines (demo 1)

we call ourselves the crown of creation
i wonder what does it mean
we're not the owners of the moon and the earth
it's like a roundabout and it goes round and round for free
we've made some gruesome inventions
yet we're mastered by those systems
we're endangered danger, we're running out of fashion
if we don't care for responsibility, hey-hey
we're endangered danger, we're endangered danger,
we're the headlines today but all that we say is
we're endangered danger,
eric says that we're a lonely species
that's why we're playing the fools
but once we'll enter the aquarian age
i sometimes catch him floating in his swimming-pool, he says
if we'd tune in to our brighter sides
we'd feel like jesus on the waters
cause we're sailors not soldiers so much more for this show
than a guest-appearance in the universe, here we go
we're endangered danger, we're endangered danger,
we're the headlines today but all that we say is
we're endangered danger

Do Something New

Do something new!
Stop peeking from the keyhole.
View to pursue.
And-be-brave.

Unlock your door and get out.
Unlock your door and get out.

Take two or more avacados...
And spice a guacamole up.

Is Today the Day

Is today the day
we tell Satan flee
is today the day
we will be free

Is today the day
we curl and run
is today the day
we use that gun

Is today the day
much like before
Is today the day
to close the door

Is today the day
the walls come down
Is today the day
we will abound

Is today the day
we ask Jesus in
Is today the day
life begins again

Is today the day
we help a friend
is today the day
Will we let Him in

Reality 3

you sleep in bed till 10
o'clock in the morning
the room is closed
the only hum you hear
is the electricity
of the aircon,
light from the keyhole
strikes at your leg
it hurts
your eyes half open
you want to set it aside
you move a leg
and the light is still there
sticking to the wall
you close your eyes again
there is nothing to do
yesterday you get fired
and there is no
rumor about another job
this is it
let somebody worry about you
there is nothing
you can do about them
tonight mouths will scream
at you
the light in the keyhole
is gone.

Knowing

There is a danger of knowing too much

knowing too much danger

Crossing a road without looking

Taking a risk with your cooking

A danger in knowing

There is a danger in knowing too much

Having digitalised lives

synched to computer

GOOGLED

There is a danger

Is there a danger in knowing?

Too much danger?

Too much knowing?

Too much?

we have/are becoming

More like a shopping mall

Packed full of brands

And gadgets

our apps additives

There is a danger of losing your child

In a shopping mall

Losing your self

In the underground

A danger in knowing

A danger in looking

The sign

The times

Are a changing

A danger of unseeing

Unliving

A danger of touching the edge of extinction

Without feeling

Bottled emotions

Formaladehyde Brains

Mask for a face

Stone for a heart

There is on a lighter note

A danger in eating my cooking

Knowing too much

Too soon

Too late

or a danger of knowing nothing

Simply eating what's arrived on your plate

TO DR. p

Sisyphus my friend
what rock shall we roll
tonight
on this hilltop?

tell me, what size of rock
fits my size today,
i am big and my shoulders are broad
i have a happy disposition
i am used to all these
burdens and they all seem the same to me
i get used to rolling rocks
and i like them all
they all feel the same to me

Worries 2

At times, we feel that
we have the worries of the world
resting on our shoulders
that seem to increase in size
as everyday passes.
We look around for someone to talk to;
invariably there is no one there.
The worries magnify themselves ten fold
and you begin to wonder how you will ever cope with them.
You keep looking over your shoulder
believing someone is watching
every move you make,
but know it is your imagination
just playing tricks on you.
The worries keep increasing at an alarming rate.
You begin to wonder
if there is any way out
with the burden that you carry.
You look for options that might help you through,
or is there just one way,
just to end it all.
Give up and submit,
end everything.
These are the words that ring out in your head.
They add more confusion
to the worries you already have.
You go to bed hoping, always hoping
tomorrow things will be better,
but in your heart, you know they won’t.
It will only be another repetitive circle
of what you have had today.

Today is my birthday

Today I smile a lot
Although there is a point of tears
Presence in the world today has been reduced
Due to the increasing age

But I thank my God

You give me - those who love me
And I too love them

I do not look at anyone - I really appreciate the attention
And compassion that has given me strength

If today I smile a lot
O God, you give me - those who love me

Thank you for being part of my life

(And you, are irreplaceable...)

Write Yours Now

The 'Journal of Death Studies' for April2004
(maybe you read it? It's in the
hospital library, top shelf
just out of wheelchair reach,
on the shelf labelled 'Reference')
observed that

nonfiction writers tend to die, factually, at sixty-eight;
novelists tie it all up at sixty-six;
playwrights lower the curtain at sixty-three,
and poets close their stanzas at sixty-two.
Well, thanks..

six years - looking on the bright side -
for your favourite biographer to write you up;
four years for novelists to borrow
your untidy life and win the Booker Prize;
a year for playwrights to emulate
the bitter dialogue of your later,
less romantic household years
with less fear of being sued.

Those whom the gods love, die young,
said the optimistic poet
shortly before he died.

for PoHo, who gave me the damn book with the reference in.
And yes, I wondered too..

Danger Zone

Shaking off the tresholds of a long forgotten dream
And you just can't make it last
Coaching paradise on a personal line
But you get fired to fast
And you lie, memories drifting by
Love don't make it on those pin-striped nights
When you're looking through someone's disguise
You can't make it alone, so you gotta make a move
But you're looking at nobody's eyes
Well that's love, or maybe love come and go
Looking for love is a danger zone
Love don't go begging in the danger zone
You won't get nothing from the danger zone
Tales that you tell from the stories that you'll hear
And you'll get what you can while you may
Don't understand when you're looking for a dame
But it's only a heartbreak away
And you'll learn, faking has no return
No way when you're feeling that way
Will your feet get caught up in the crowd
And the song that you sing is too soft to be heard
But your speakers are way too loud
Like the pain, loving is no big game
Looking for love is a danger zone
No don't go living in the danger zone
You won't get nothing from the danger zone
Don't take no chances in the danger zone
Love don't go begging in the danger zone
No don't go living in the danger zone
You won't get nothing from the danger zone
Don't take no chances in the danger zone
Love don't go begging in the danger zone
