Well, we have this place in Telluride, Colorado. It's somewhere I can just get away and relax and think.

Colorado Christmas
Looking out the window of this hollywood hotel,
Youd never know that it was christmas eve.
The billboards and the neon took the place of silver bells,
And the temperature is 84 degrees.
I can hear the traffic on the crowded strip below
As the palm trees poke their heads above the scene
Theres not a single reindeer and it hardly ever snows,
And santa drives a rolls royce limosine.
But all along the rockies you can feel it in the air
From telluride to boulder down below
The closest thing to heaven on this planet anywhere
Is a quiet christmas morning in the colorado snow
I remember christmases when I was just a boy
In the morning I would run to see the tree.
And the carolers on the hillside sang their songs of christmas joy
Well, I always thought they sang them just for me.
Now the sun is setting in the california sky
And I cant find the spirit anywhere
So I think its time for me to tell los angeles goodbye
Im going back home toook for christmas there
But all along the rockies you can feel it in the air
From telluride to boulder down below
The closest thing to heaven on this planet anywhere
Is a quiet christmas morning in the colorado snow

Telluride
(troy verges, brett james)
When I was nineteen I threw my stuff in the car
I headed up to the rockies, got a job at this bar
Selling beer to the locals, just barely getting by
On the tips from the rich kids, there on daddys dime
But when I saw her walk in one night
I knew that Id be all right in
Telluride, the snow falling down
I was waking up in that sleepy little town
In her eyes my world came so alive
I never will forget the moment she arrived
In telluride
We spent that whole winter tangled up by a fire
Casting shadows on the cabin wall, drowning in desire
Confessing all our secrets and laughing out loud
So high up on that mountain, I thought wed never come down
It was a dream we were living in
And I was the happiest Id ever been in
Telluride, the snow falling down
Waking up with her in that sleepy little town
In her eyes, my world came so alive
I never will forget all those sleepless nights
In telluride
Telluride, whoa-oh-oh
It ended just like a movie scene
And I had to play the part
Of the lover who stood there and watched her leave
And me with the frozen heart
In telluride, the snow falling down
Standing there alone in that sleepy little town
In her eyes, my world came so alive
I never will forget the day she said goodbye
In telluride, the snow falling down
Waking up with her in that sleepy little town
In her eyes, my world came so alive
I never will forget all those sleepless nights
In telluride

Telluride
Now the girls in telluride do it like this
Cross their fingers when they kiss you
Dont say nothing behind your back
And they dont take nothin that they dont give back
Take the gold into telluride
Work all winter in the tomboy mine
Dreamin of what well do
When the snow finally ends
And the spring breaks through
Well load up the wagon & set the little one by our side
Take the gold into telluride
Id like to lay you down on a cannonball bed
Put a soft feather pillow down by your head
Intertwine flowers into a maidens veil
Wake you in the morning
Now shes wailing take the gold into telluride
Aint nothingll stop an avalanche when its sliding
Once the wagon starts to roll, you cant turn the mule and the brakes dont hold;
You end up in the valley with the little one by your side
Take the gold into telluride.
Lace curtains for the windows,
Dreams torn from a catalog page.
We may wander where the wind blows
You change your views but our love wont change
She gonna climb you high on top of a hill
Fall asleep laughing with the whipporwill
Intertwined flowers in the matrons ring
Wake you in the morning
Now shes singing take the gold into telluride
I loved my winter with a teenage bride
Dreamin of what well do
When the snow finally ends
And the spring breaks through
Well load up the wagon, set the little one by our side
Take the gold into telluride
Take the gold into telluride

Bound For Colorado
The days of spring have just begun
And melted snow begins to run
Aspen is a fine place where many people go
And so youre bound for colorado
Dont send me cards from where youve been
Or tell me bout the friends you win
But send to me a new leaf just begun to grow
And hurry home from colorado
You told me once that you would like to run away
>from all the fears and all the tears you felt that day
You should know no matter where you go
You have your friends to lean upon
When youre not sure whats goin on
And if you dont return by the summer I will know
Youve found a home in colorado
And youre doing fine in colorado

My Secret Place
Words and music by joni mitchell
Im going to take you to
My special place
Its a place that you
Like no one else I know
Might appreciate
I dont go there with anyone--but
Youre a special case
For my special place
For my secret place
People talk to tell you something
Or to take up space
Guess Im only talking
To be talking to
Your pretty face
I dont talk much to anyone--but
Youre a special case
For my special place
My secret place
I was born and raised
In new york city
Im just getting used to colorado--
Oh street bravado
Carry me
Why did you bring me to
A place so wild and pretty?
Are there pigeons in this park--
Muggers after dark--
In these golden trees--
In the secret place?
Im going to take you to
My special place
Its a place no amount of hurt and anger
Can deface
I put things back together there
It all falls right in place--
In my special space
My special place
Once I saw a film
In new york city
That was shot in colorado--
Girl meets desperado
In the trembling mountain trees
Out of all of the girls that you see
In bleachers and cafe windows
Sitting--flirting with someone
Looking to have some fun
Why did you pick me?
For the secret place

A Colorado Girl
A Colorado girl captures my eye,
Such a beauty I have come by.
Eyes as blue as the lovely sea,
Hair as blonde as blonde can be.
I wish I knew this Colorado girl,
Who knows what emotions we could unfurl.
If only I could hear her voice,
That alone would make me rejoice.
A Colorado girl too far away,
A distance that leaves me in utter dismay.
If only she could hear my plea,
For love that may forever never be.

Man Of Constant Sorrow
(traditional, arr. by rod stewart)
I am a man of constant sorrow
Ive seen trouble all my days
Ill say goodbye to colorado
Where I was born and probly raised
Your mother says I am a stranger
My face youll never see no more
But theres one promise darling
Ill see you on gods golden shore
Through this open world Im about to ramble
Through ice, snow, sleet and rain
I am about to rob the mornin railroad
Perhaps Ill die on that train
Im goin back to colorado
Place that I started from
If Id knowed how bad youd treat me
Honey I never would have come

Relax
Do you recall that happy bike
With bundles on our backs?
How near to heaven it was like
To blissfully relax!
In cosy tavern of good cheer
To doff our heavy packs,
And with a mug of foamy beer
Relax.
Learn to relax: to clean the mind
Of fear and doubt and care,
And in vacuity to find
The perfect peace that's there.
With lassitude of heart and hand,
When every sinew slacks,
How good to rest the old bean and
Relax, relax.
Just sink back in an easy chair
For forty winks or so,
And fold your hands as if in prayer,
--That helps a lot, you know.
Forget that you are you awhile,
And pliable as wax,
Just beatifically smile . . .
Relax, relax, relax.

Im a man of constant sorrow,
Ive seen trouble all my days.
Ill say goodbye to colorado
Where I was born and partly raised.
Your mother says Im a stranger;
My face youll never see no more.
But theres one promise, darling,
Ill see you on gods golden shore.
Through this open world Im a-bound to ramble,
Through ice and snows, sleet and rain,
Im a-bound to ride that mornin railroad,
Perhaps Ill die on that train.

Relax
Take your shoes off
Relax
What's your hurry?
As the days go hurryin', scurryin' by
You'll find yourself findin' a reason
To watch the world go by
Relax, ooh-ooh
Take your shoes off
Relax, umm-umm
Don't you worry
As the world goes helterin', skelterin' by
The sun will still wander across the sky
And if you stay with me
We'll grow wiser gracefully

He was born in the summer of his 27th year
Comin home to a place hed never been before
He left yesterday behind him, you might say he was born again
You might say he found a key for every door
When he first came to the mountains his life was far away
On the road and hangin by a song
But the strings already broken and he doesnt really care
It keeps changin fast and it dont last for long
But the colorado rocky mountain high
Ive seen it rainin fire in the sky
The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullabye
Rocky mountain high (high colorado) rocky mountain high (high colorado)
He climbed cathedral mountains, he saw silver clouds below
He saw everything as far as you can see
And they say he got crazy once, and he tried to touch the sun
And he lost a friend but kept his memory
Now he walks in quiet solitude the forests and the streams
Seeking grace in every step he takes
His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand
The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake
And the colorado rocky mountain high
Ive seen it rainin fire in the sky
You can talk to God and listen to the casual reply
Rocky mountain high (high colorado) rocky mountain high (high colorado)
Now his life is full of wonder but his heart still knows some fear
Of a simple thing he cannot comprehend
Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more
More people, more scars upon the land
And the colorado rocky mountain high
Ive seen it rainin fire in the sky
I know hed be a poorer man if he never saw an eagle fly
Rocky mountain high
Its a colorado rocky mountain high
Ive seen it rainin fire in the sky
Friends around the campfire and everybodys high
Rocky mountain high (high colorado) rocky mountain high (high colorado)
Rocky mountain high (high colorado) rocky mountain high do de do

Jennifers Body
I know it, I can feel it
Well, I know it enough to believe it
And I know it, I cant see it
But I know it enough to believe it
Bitter you, bitter me
My better half has bitten me
Bitter you, bitter me
Sleeping with my enemy
Myself
Myself
The pieces of jennifers body
Found pieces of jennifers body
Found pieces of jennifers body
Just relax, just relax, just go to sleep
Just relax, just relax, just go to sleep
Youre hungry, but Im starving
He cuts you down from the tree
He keeps you in a box by the bed
Alive, but just barely
He said, Im your lover, Im your friend
Im pure and he hits me again
With a bullet, number one, kill the family, save the son
Himself
Himself
The pieces of jennifers body
Found pieces of jennifers body
Found pieces of jennifers body
Just relax, just relax, just go to sleep
Just relax, just relax, just go to sleep

Relax
(words & music by tepper - bennett)
Relax, kick your shoes off baby
Relax, here we are alone
Relax, if the phone rings, let it
Just forget it, were not at home
Cut loose, let your hair down honey
Unwind, turn the lights down low
Relax, lets uncork the stopper
Come to papa, come on lets go
Defrost, your charms
Theres only the two of us here
Come in my arms
And make yourself comfortable dear
Relax, lets get cozy baby
Come on, let your concrete crack
Cut loose, when the knocks invited
Dont you fight it, come on relax
Defrost, your charms
Theres only the two of us here
Come in my arms
And make yourself comfortable dear
Relax, lets get cozy baby
Come on, let your concrete crack
Cut loose, life is worth the livin
When youre givin, come on relax
Relax.....mmmmm....let loose...mmmm...defrost....mmmmm...

I guess hed rather be in colorado
Hed rather spend his time out where the sky looks like a pearl after the rain
Once again to see him walkin
Once again to hear him talkin
To the stars he makes and askin them for bus fares
I guess hed rather be in colorado
Hed rather play his banjo in the morning when the moon is scarcely gone
In the dawn the subways comin
In the dawn I hear him comin
Some old song he wrote of love in boulder canyon
Guess hed rather be in colorado
Guess hed rather be in colorado
Guess hed rather work out where the only thing you earn is what you spend
In the end Im in his office
In the end a quiet cough is all he has to show

Come To My Pod
Come to my pod
Theres no one there,
Well be alone.
We can talk
And if you want to we'll get stoned
And relax...
Have fun...
In my pod.
In your pod,
No one knows the things we do.
Well get high,
If you want to well sniff glue,
And relax...
Have fun...
In your pod.
In your pod,
Theres no one there
Well be alone.
We can talk.
And make love the whole night through
And relax...
Have fun...
In yourmy pod.
Now that were left all alone.
Touch me and kiss me and love me.

Ease Appeases With a Bit of Tease
Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
Relax!
Find that place,
Where you can go...
Within.
To bring outside of yourself,
A comfort shown to shine without end.
You seem to be hiding inside too much.
And not enough of you,
Is believed or known.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
Relax!
First impressions,
Aren't always the best to leave.
Especially when some expect magic...
Unnatural miracles and a tap dance,
Done comfortably.
Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
Relax!
Just be you.
You will be surprise by how enchanting,
The unseen you can be,
To dazzle others unexpectedly.
When ease appeases with a bit of tease.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
And relax.
Know ease appeases with a bit of tease.
Just be you,
To dazzle others unexpectedly.
Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
And...
Relax.
Know ease appeases with a bit of tease.
