Good Friends
(c. gantry, l. chera)
Feeling one anothers joy and sorrow
Dreams today may come true tomorrow
Good friends
Close together like theyre bookends
Feeling what the other one is feeling
They never seem to be without
Those little things to laugh about
Good friends
They have the kind of love
That only deepens
Its something that you rarely find worth keeping
Oh people even new ones come
Youre lucky if you find just one good friend
And we say goodbye
Knowing what we have will fade away
Well meet another time
Another day
My friend
Good friends
Their paths may never come together again
But in their hearts
Theyre on a road with no end
Where life will take us who can tell
Guess its time to say farewell
My friend
Good friends
You never will forget
Your good friends

Heroes And Friends
I ain't live forever but i've lived enough
and i've learned to be gentle and i've learned to be tough
I've found only two things that last to the end
One is your heroes and the other your friends
Your heroes will help you find good in yourself
Your friends won't forsake you for somebody else
They'll both stand beside you thru thick and thru thin
and that's how it goes with heroes and friends
I grew up with cowboys i watched on tv
My friends and i sometimes pretended to be
Years have gone by but now and again
my heart rides the range with my heroes and friends
Your heroes will help you find good in yourself
Your friends won't forsake you for somebody else
They'll both stand beside you thru thick and thru thin
and that's how it goes with heroes and friends
Your heroes will help you find good in yourself
Your friends won't forsake you for somebody else
They'll both stand beside you thru thick and thru thin
and that's how it goes with heroes and friends
that's how it goes with heroes and friends

Please
Can't understand you and your rules
and definitely don't want them
I get where you're comin' from,
But it's my generation
and you assume stereotypes,
when it's only
one out of a hundred.
But I don't want to be like them,
the one out of a hundred…
I don't want to be
Snappin', hurtin'
Backstabbin'
And if they ask me why I'll say
I'm busy…
Makin' friends, forgettin' enemies
Makin' life last
Trust me, please
I don't want to be like them
It's too late to find me
I'm lost in the woods
But please, Mama, come back for me
I'm not tryin' to make mistakes,
Not ever or forever
You were like me too once
Makin' friends, forgettin' enemies
Makin' life last
Trust me, please
I don't want to be like them
They're just
Forgettin' friends, makin' enemies
Forgettin' life for now
And there's no trusting us
And there's no turning back
But that's just a stereotype,
It's a
One out of a hundred
I don't want to be like them
And if they ask me why I'll say
I'm busy…
Makin' friends, forgettin' enemies
Makin' life last
Trust me, please
The Harvest
A severe drought but water melons expanded
in the back yard of the farmhouse.
There was no hunt the whole night
and the hunter returns home
with his rusty shot gun.
Farm lassie counts the melons
for the week-end market
and they smiled each other
While he was passing the fence.

One Hundred Ripples
One hundred ripples I mark today
One hundred steps along my way
One hundred steps lead to the pond
One hundred trees there do surround
One hundred birds nesting among the trees
One hundred bees filling the air with these
One hundred bees buzzing about in the air
One hundred flowers are pollinating there
One hundred flowers provide the aromas sweet
For one hundred bouquets given to lovers as treat
One hundred lovers walk the winding pathway
One hundred times to find romance there each day
One hundred times they will reach to explore
One hundred pebbles found along the pond shore
One hundred pebbles carry wishes through the air
One hundred ripples on surface creating there
One hundred ripples then spreading out will begin
One hundred waves soon lapping at the shore again
One hundred waves providing the means for
One hundred more pebbles to reach the shore
One hundred pebbles scatter along the pathway
One hundred steps retraced at the end of the day
One hundred small steps... this latest poem was conceived to denote
One hundred little ripples... spreading from 100 poems I wrote

Good Love
Everytime I get to see you
I get this feelin
Its so fuzzy inside
And as soon as I walk away from you
Im still tasting your kiss
Saving it in my mind
Its not everyday I find
A guy that makes me smile all the time
Not the way that you do
All the guys I thought I used to love
Compared to you they dont match up
They got nothing on you
I think I found a good good good love
The kind that will put it on you
The kind that you wanna hold on to
I think I found a good good good love
We can be lovers and friends too
And theyll do anything for you
A good love
Baby you got somethin special
That has me thinking of settling down
Youre the one my mama told me
Would sooner or later one day finally come around
I think I found a good good good love
The kind that will put it on you
The kind that you wanna hold on to
I think I found a good good good love
We can be lovers and friends too
And theyll do anything for you
A good love
I think I found a good good good love
The kind that will put it on you
The kind that you wanna hold on to
I think I found a good good good love
We can be lovers and friends too
And theyll do anything for you
A good love
You bring me joy
And you bring me much pleasure
I could never see myself leaving you ever
Your soft touch is good and it cant get no better
You have got my mind so caught up
Im drunk off of your good love
I think I found a good good good love
The kind that will put it on you
The kind that you wanna hold on to
I think I found a good good good love
We can be lovers and friends too
And theyll do anything for you
A good love
I think I found a good good good love
The kind that will put it on you
The kind that you wanna hold on to
I think I found a good good good love
We can be lovers and friends too
And theyll do anything for you
A good love
I think I found a good good good love
The kind that will put it on you
The kind that you wanna hold on to
I think I found a good good good love
We can be lovers and friends too
And theyll do anything for you
A good love
I think I found a good good good love
The kind that will put it on you
The kind that you wanna hold on to
I think I found a good good good love
We can be lovers and friends too
And theyll do anything for you
A good love
I think I found a good good good love
The kind that will put it on you
The kind that you wanna hold on to
I think I found a good good good love
We can be lovers and friends too
And theyll do anything for you
A good love

Such Good Friends
Such Good Friends
they were friends
good friends
they became old
they were still friends
still good friends
their wives died
their children went away
their cats became senile
just two old men
just two friends
just two good friends
one evening
as the sun was going down
they made a vow
that they would come
to each other's funeral
one day
one died
and both went to each other's funeral
they were still friends
they were still good friends

If a man plants melons he will reap melons; if he sows beans, he will reap beans.
One Hundred Punks
They customised their gear and synchronised
(They)flame out in the streets with flame in their eyes
Guerilla operator ain't heard of cool
Check out any wall - one hundred punks rule
One hundred punks rule
A hundred punks run with London town
Down Wardour Street to the Soho Sound
Don't sleep all week only when they fall down
A hundred Rumble boys and Tumble girls
Protected by steel in a private world
Tomorrow's famous faces advertise today
And the studs on their back say
One hundred punks rule
A hundred punks run the loaded gun
They look so sharp they look like one
If you ain't got the look you'll never be one
A hundred punks run with total suss
A hundred good mates you know you can trust
There's never no bother and there's no fuss
Check out any wall - one hundred punks rule
One hundred punks rule
And Jimmy's no.101 knows one day he'll be One
Watch him - watch him Go!
A hundred punks run the leather army
I know whose by my side not at home with TV
Even when I'm down I hear them sing for me
Check out any wall - One hundred punks rule
One hundred punks rule
Check out any wall - One hundred punks rule

Check out - One hundred punks rule O.K.

One Hundred Thousand Marching
One hundred thousand marching
One hundred thousand men
One hundred thousand heading
To a place and a time when
One hundred thousand dying
One hundred thousand cold
One hundred thousand praying
Forever young and never old
One hundred thousand lives were lost
One hundred thousand felt the pain
One hundred thousand maimed and slaughtered
And yet those armies march again.

Good Friends Are For Keeps
Hey now dont let your empty room ever get you down
You can fill the silence with a smile
And dont let the crowds on the street
Make you feel like you are just a stranger in town
If you feel happy,
Or if you wanna weep,
Or you wanna warm word before you sleep
Remember,
Good friends are forever
Good friends are forever
Good friends are for keeps
Good friends are forever
Good friends are forever
Good friends are for keeps

Rodeo Moon
I took her daddys old two-horse trailer
I patched a place in the floor that was bare
And we loaded up her barrel pony
And a riggin bag is all that I had
Left with our suitcases filled with desire
Four hundred dollars, two good spare tires
Chorus:
Now our windshields a painting that hangs in our room
Changes with each mile like a radio tune
We got up above, well make it on love
Under the rodeo moon
Sometimes we sleep in a hotel
When were ridin that hot hand of luck
Sometimes we crash at a friends house
Sometimes we just sleep in the truck
At nighttime youll find us out in the fast lane
Stayin one step ahead of snow, wind, and rain
Chorus
Yeah we left with our suitcases filled with desire
Four hundred dollars, two good spare tires
Chorus

One enemy can harm you more than a hundred friends can do you good.
My Hundred Books
A thousand books my library
Contains;
And all are primed, it seems to me
With brains.
Mine are so few I scratch in thought
My head;
For just a hundred of the lot
I've read.
A hundred books, but of the best,
I can
With wisdom savour and digest
And scan.
Yet when afar from kin and kith
In nooks
Of quietness I'm happy with
Sweet books.
So as nine hundred at me stare
In vain,
My lack I'm wistfully aware
Of brain;
Yet as my leave of living ends,
With looks
Of love I view a hundred friends,
My books.

When Good People Become Friends
When Good People Become Friends
Things work better.
Things work together
Things work out.
When Good People Become Friends
Listening become hearing
seeing become insight
Attention becomes nurture.
When Good People Become Friends
Generosity becomes sharing
Sacrifices become pleasures
Rightful obedience becomes an uncommon delight.
When Good People Become Friends
Joys become happiness
Comfort becomes peace
Needs become an abundance.
When Good people Become Friends
Acquaintances become friendships
Concern becomes caring
Likenesses become divine love.
When Good People Become Friends
Traveling becomes a journey
Endeavors come into fruition
Living becomes Life.
When Good People Become Friends
Gifts become blessings
Blessings become anointings
Anointings become endowments.
When Good People Become Friends
Love becomes power
Weaknesses become strength
And death, Death becomes a new birth.
When Good People Become Friends.

I Have Friends Who Can No Longer Walk
I have friends who can no longer walk
And a friend who can no longer listen to music
And friends who cannot leave the house
And two friends who will never leave the hospice
And friends no drug can completely take the pain from -
It is not good to see one's friends grow old
And become so much less than they were-
It is not good to see one's friends grow old and suffer
And be unable to help them in any real way
It is not good to be old
And see what happens to the people one knows
And wait for the inevitable to happen to oneself-
It is not good to be unable to help in any real way
The friends one cares for.
