For sure, all over Poland, kids had my picture of a lemur on their bedroom wall - but the chances are they may never get to see a real lemur in Madagascar. I thought this was great and it really meant a lot to me.

Infinite Disintegration
A static convulses spasmodic'lly,
Covering the dying constellations
That have been twinkling periodic'lly
In the twilight of my fascination.
The sky is white—somewhere between marble
And gossamer. It's something translucent
Juxtaposed over an inky jarble
And its waning, descendant glow crescent.

i have seen the picture of an old man
beside a huge oak tree
the picture is old
black and white and the kind of one that is strong
for it will last another lifetime
i have not seen the old man
neither the huge oak tree for real
i have the picture of the old man and the old oak tree
and the younger man sleeping
his smooth skin caressed by the fluffing grass
there is a story there and it is all about
gods and dogs
a film about a director who lost his fame
and fortune
about a young gardener who captures a heart
and made it bleed
at the end the old man met a happy death
the old oak tree was gone

When I see a shadow fall
pale against my bedroom wall
I always look around to see
if that shadow was just me?
If there's no one else in sight
I silently give way to the night
and sleep.
When I see a shadow fall
dark against my bedroom wall,
I'm afraid to look at its dark sight
for if that shadow isn't me
I fear just what that shadow might be.
And so I cannot
fall asleep.

Lena Horn dead at 92, I think of this as I stumble up a stony track,
I used to dream of meeting and marrying her, didn’t know she was
much older than me. No, more, I lusted after her kept a picture of
her face above my bed. till my new wife came and replaced it
with Virgin Mary. It was her sexy voice you see, it brought dreams
of impossible love to the surface. I had her records till the woman,
who took her picture down from my bedroom wall, took them with
her when she left. Bet she can get a lot of money for them now.
