There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America.

Well, first, the situation in Afghanistan is much better than it was. But there is no comparison between Afghanistan and Iraq. Iraq has a bureaucracy, Iraq has wealth. Iraq has an educated class of people who are positioned to come in and take over.

This country owes them all a debt of gratitude. The down payment on that debt is making sure that we live up to Lincoln's charge: to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan.
If today is anything like the typical day of the past 3 years, three American soldiers will die in Iraq or Afghanistan, the Taliban will get a little stronger in Afghanistan and the civil war will continue to be enhanced in Iraq.

Many soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan suffer from serious, long-term, physical and mental health problems, due to their service. It is unconscionable to cut the already limited health care benefits available to these brave men and women.

The Fall Of War
How many lost people will lose so you could gain
Is it possible for you to make the Earth spin faster?
How much will they pay for your mistakes?
Could you sleep better if you were sane?
Oh America
Why pray to a flag?
It won't wrap you up and keep you warm
Why set the times for you to fight?
When you fall asleep, you won't dream with clocks under your arms
Oh America
Destiny isn't charted or drawn
Faith is an imagination
Hope is a give and take kind of thing
Domination is your mostly likely flaw, but I hate it
Oh America
Stop
Drop your weapons
Prepare for immediate death
Heaven's gate has closed
Your God has no time to save you
Stop I said
America, no one can tell the time when judgement day will come
Hell's fire will stream stronger and shine
Russia, China, Afghanistan, and Iraq will push America to the front of the line
All countries of war, your mistakes have been paid for, and you are dead and gone
Now you are all one in a new America

Like Afghanistan before it, Iraq is only one theater in a regional war. We were attacked by a network of terrorist organizations supported by several countries, of whom the most important were Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Saudi Arabia.

saddam Hussein In New Iraq
He was the dictator
in the old Iraq
the once fertile
the abandoned garden
of Eden rushed
It was always his
first word as the final and executory
handed down from
holocaust- master the
Austrian blood Hitler
in infamous Nazi era
and Saddam tragic death sentence
provoked his old Iraq was beaten
and democracy is running down
in new Iraq alas!
million patriots cheer!
their hearts pound firm
resurrecting freedom
in new Iraq at last!
but I am saddened
with too much grief
children's laughter today
will turn into blues
someday somehow as they grow
they will learn
their new Iraq acquired freedom
is under US Marines GI Joes custody

America has survived and grown stronger through September 11th and subsequent wars with Afghanistan and Iraq and those who seek to do us harm. We have faced - and met - tremendous challenges ramping up a public health and safety system to protect Americans from future threats.

Don't Tear America Down!
Those who thinks America is finished;
Think again. Feeling dismayed that
You are not leaping ahead like before?
It is not only in America; worldwide, indeed.
America is not finished; it will be there,
Even in the dark hours of economic meltdown.
America will be there, for Americans are
Too proud, too strong willed to let
Their country go to pieces.
As their motto says:
'O Say Can You See! '
And, 'God Bless America,
Land That They Love! '
Americans truly loves America.
So, think not of a doom America
Think of a America of renewed hope,
Renewed love, and renewed faith,
For, if unbetold to you before,
God really loves America

My Friend in Afghanistan
My friend in Aghanistan
Stationed in the frontlines,
He sleeps with his loaded gun
And has never stepped on a mine.
He is a brave young man,
Fighting in eternal wars
From Iraq to Afghanistan -
He may yet get a purple star.
I wrote him to say a prayer
And to connect him with some sanity,
For the trauma and carnage there
May break up a man mentally.
My friend in Afghanistan
My prayer for him was this:
That he remain a whole man
And may he go home in one piece.
But I sadly learned today
His copter blew up in flames,
He has gone permanently away -
Another pawn in these war games.
