Whatsoever is contrary to nature is contrary to reason, and whatsoever is contrary to reason is absurd.

Nothing can be more contrary to religion and the clergy than reason and common sense.
The little may contrast with the great, in painting, but cannot be said to be contrary to it. Oppositions of colors contrast; but there are also colors contrary to each other, that is, which produce an ill effect because they shock the eye when brought very near it.
It is not contrary to reason to prefer the destruction of the whole world to the scratching of my finger.

Ch 07 On The Effects Of Education Story 19
I asked an illustrious man for the reason of the tradition: Account as an enemy the passion which is between thy two loins. He replied: ‘The reason is because whatever enemy thou propitiatest becomes thy friend, whereas the more thou indulgest in a passion, the more it will oppose thee.’
Man attains angelic nature by eating sparingly
But if he be voracious like beasts he falls like a stone.
He whose wishes thou fulfillest will obey thy command
Contrary to passion, which will command, when obeyed.
If there existed no external means for dimming their consciences, one-half of the men would at once shoot themselves, because to live contrary to one's reason is a most intolerable state, and all men of our time are in such a state.

Ch 08 On Rules For Conduct In Life - Maxim 54
It is contrary to what is proper, and against the opinion of to partake of medicine by guess and to go after a caravan without seeing the road. The Imam Murshid Muhammad Ghazali, upon whom be the mercy of Allah, having been asked in what manner he had attained such a degree of knowledge, replied: ‘By not being ashamed to ask about things I did not know.’
The hope of recovery is according to reason,
That he should feel thy pulse who knows thy nature.
Ask what thou knowest not; for the trouble of asking
Will indicate to thee the way to the dignity of knowledge.
We Need Not Share Words...
We need not have to be together
In order that we may share forever,
Our interval may be our genesis still,
To opine contrary is to oppose His will!
A respite perhaps, to prepare for our journey?
A time of poignant reflection, for you, for me?
Perchance, even to exact our circumstance?
Maybe to allow adoption of our love's avowance?
For whatsoever it may be, I do not altercate-
With wonderment, we are allowed to alternate!
We need not share sight to share dreams;
Need we be near a star to know it gleams?
We need not share words to share thought
Of the consummate love we have sought!

Ch 08 On Rules For Conduct In Life - Maxim 46
Two things are contrary to reason: to enjoy more than is decreed and to die before the time appointed.
Fate will not change by a thousand laments and sighs,
By thanks or complaints, issuing from the mouth.
The angel appointed over the treasures of wind
Cares not if the lamp of a widow dies.
Mistakes are almost always of a sacred nature. Never try to correct them. On the contrary: rationalize them, understand them thoroughly. After that, it will be possible for you to sublimate them.

I Love....
i love...
that's the reason i walk,
the reason i breathe.
the reason i grieve.
the reason i dance.
the reason i smile.
the reason i listen.
the reason i offer a hand.
the reason i see beauty.
the reason i see both darkness,
and light....
the reason i take chances.
the reason i keep going.
the reason i get angry.
the reason i forgive.
the reason i touch.
the reason i question.
the reason i believe.
the reason i am tolerant.
the reason i understand.
the reason i fall.
the reason i fly.
the reason i write...
the reason i am what i am!
