Seemed to me that drumming was the best way to get close to God.

ONE PERSON (Love Poem)
So close, that we are drowning,
So close, that we are still in madness,
So close, that we are invisible in our love,
So close, that we are one 10000 miles apart,
So close, that we do not have to talk to know,
So close, that our hearts beat like one heart,
So close, that we dream the same dreams,
So close, that we breathe the same air,
So close, that we are one person.

Increase in pay
I hear him humming
A song of increase in pay
The same tune he keeps on drumming
Day after day after day
'Increase in pay, ’ he says
'Increase in play, ' he says
Today his hair is whiter than grey
Thirteen increments of pay
But he still keeps on humming
The same tune he keeps on drumming
'Increase in pay, ’ he says
'Fewer hours, more power, ' he says
No more do they listen
Once they did when he glistened
Now they wait gently endlessly
Now they debate quietly mercilessly
'Delay the pay, ' they say
'Decrease the play, ' they say
Can't you see his hair has turned all grey?
Soon! Soon he shall only wither away!

Don't Come Close
You know it's generally known
You got everything at home
Kisses out of desperation
Bring you more aggravation
And you don't come close
You don't come close
You don't come close
You bring out your souvenirs
Soak them wet with your tears
You lose your imagination
Out of more aggravation
And you don't come close
You don't come close
You don't come close
You turn red with rage
But act your age
Only thing that your regret
You need more time to forget
And you don't come close
You don't come close
You don't come close.

When I Close my Eyes
When I close my eyes,
I can see my country,
Shining in the light, bright.
When I close my eyes.
When I close my eyes,
I see the trees,
Green against the skyline.
When I close my eyes.
When I close my eyes,
I see stars shining cross,
The wide beyond.
When I close my eyes.
When I close my eyes,
I see the sunset behind your hair,
Halo shining in the air.
When I close my eyes.
When I close my eyes,
I hear the ocean waves,
Crashing on the shore.
When I close my eyes.
When I close my eyes,
I see the moon glistening,
Through your eyes.
When I close my eyes.

The impatient hours
The impatient hours
~
The drumming of fingers
The ticking of the clock
Loudly fill the impatient hours
Wasteful in their emptiness
Surely there must be something better
But the wait continues anyway
Waiting on a promise to come good
Hoping its not like past promises
Which all became just lies
Paranoia stalks the mind
Reminding of the past disappointments
Why should this one be any different
Why wait in stale confines
When you could leave, walk away
Forget the promise in an instant
The drumming of fingers
The ticking of the clock
Grow ever louder
Counting each possible outcome
The promise bares fruit
Or becomes another lie
Still waiting on the realisation
In the impatient hours
Wasting the day into nothing

Visions Of Love
Come on love lets savour love, lets follow its twists and turns.
Lets follow its path.
Lets come up close.
Follow the picture a metaphor, my skin a vessel of joy, drumming heart, round the picture humbly, portraying, the spectrum, of vigour, in an abstract way.
Ive got, ive got a sea of love.
My waves are sometimes so delicate,

So Close
Tears still lie
So close
So close
Even as the years go
Just underneath the surface
Silent goodbyes
So close
So close
To breaking down
You were here just a moment ago
Tiny little memories
So close
So close
The laughter and love
But still I want you here
Then thin glass is breaking
So close
So close
A silent, glittering tear

Early morning rain
Early morning rain
~
Rain taps upon the window
while the faint light of morning
lines the gap between curtains
a halo of pale blue illuminates
the darkness of the room
a cold beyond the duvet
invites a reason not to move
while tired eyes open and close
motionless I lay here listening
to the sound of the rain
like restless fingers drumming
upon the windowpane
in the early hours of morning
I lay awake

We Fly So Close
we never realise just how close we come to disaster whether in love or everyday life...
My harbour lights are fading fast
Soon theyll disappear
Alone I sit in darkness
Hoping someone might come near
Though I wait, though I try
No one ever comes
And the feeling that I have flood over me
The river starts to run
We fly so close
We fly so close
Sometimes we fly too close
Every place you run to, everywhere you turn
There are places that you know you should not go
But some bridges just wont burn
All my life, though I try
I cannot change the past
And the ghosts that come back to haunt you
Make you realise at last
We fly so close
We fly so close
Sometimes we fly too close
We fly too close
My heart is racing much faster now
Life passes before my eyes
Somethings I see, they make me smile
Somethings they make me cry
So I look, so I try to find
A lesson I can learn
The passing of time hasnt changed my mind
And the ghosts I know return
You know we fly so close
We fly so close
Sometimes we fly too close
We fly too close
We fly so close, you and I sometimes
Sometimes we fly so close,
Well never know how many times
We fly so close
We fly so close

Close Again
Written by orbison/melson.
When evening shadows fall.
Im not lonely at all.
Now that youre with me I recall.
How much I love you.
Close again.
Now Im alright, tonight were close again.
Touching your hand means that were close again.
Reaching each other now within
At last were two are really close again.
How long has it been since we loved like this? ,
Ill never ever know.
It seems like only yesterday.
Yet it seems so long ago.
Close again.
Down deep inside were both are close again.
A love that died can be alive again.
I can survive because youve let me in.
Into your heart so very close again.
So love me,like you loved me when you loved me,
And say thats all you want to do.
I am what I am,and all that I am.
Is in love with you,and only you.
So close again.
Thats all that matter, were close again.
Dreams that were scattered are close again.
Hearts that were shattered begin to mend.
Cant help but cry.
For you and I are close again.
