Boomerang Love
Boomerang love
By: jimmy buffett
1989
Hole in the wind behind the island
Big blue hole in the middle of my heart
I cant forget the time we spent together
I cant remember how long
Long weve been apart
Chorus:
Riding on a boomerang love circling fast
Hard to see in a sky so vast
Laugh till you cry, cry till you smile
Up and down all around
Boomerang, boomerang, boomerang, boomerang love
Boomerang, boomerang, boomerang, boomerang love
We both know we live in different orbits
Different islands different worlds
Though we really are the same
Im just glad, glad we started talking
Finally realize no one is to blame
Chorus:
Riding on a boomerang love cant let go
Running fast, moving slow
Whats the right way, who is to say
Tension and suspension
On a boomerang, boomerang, boomerang, boomerang love
Boomerang, boomerang, boomerang, boomerang love
Big blue hole out in the ocean
Where I dive straight down until I cannot see
Feel my way through a bevy of solutions
There I realize the answer is in me
Gettin off of this boomerang love, comin up for air
I want to do whats right, I want to do whats fair
Come what may well find a way
No more tension or suspension
No more boomerang, boomerang, boomerang, boomerang love
No more boomerang, boomerang, boomerang, boomerang love
No more boomerang, boomerang, boomerang, boomerang love
Boomerang, boomerang, boomerang, boomerang love
Oh...

The Boomerang that Didn’t Want to Come Back (Fun Poem 28)
I watched a little lad,
playing with his boomerang,
and the boomerang
didn’t want to come back.
He would wave it about,
then give it a throw it,
but the boomerang just plopped
onto the grass.
He ran and gave it
one almighty throw.
The boomerang went a couple of feet
and then it came down again.
It led the little lad a merry chase
all across the green,
this boomerang
that would not come back.

Boomerang
Gonna throw down the dice on a roll, its a showdown, gonna walk on hot coals
Cut the deck, better place your bet, cause the game aint over yet
Wanna keep you under lock and key, cant you see what you do to me
Get the noose, I know Im gonna hang, cause youre like a boomerang, boomerang
On the way up, you change your tune, so pay up, and it aint too soon
Cant make up or break up, cant feel a thing, you want a piece of everything
First youre cold and then youre hot, youre in the mood and then youre not
Yeah, I know Ill get a bang, cause youre like a boomerang, boomerang
You can slip and you can slide, but there aint nothin you can hide
You just cant say no, well here I come, baby, and here I go

Obsession
Making somebody happy is a question of give and take
You can learn how to show it so come on, give yourself a break
Every smile and every little touch
Don't you know that they mean so much
Sweet sweet kisses so tender
Always will return to sender
Like a bang, a boom-a-boomerang
Dum-be-dum-dum be-dum-be-dum-dum
Oh bang, a boom-a-boomerang
Love is a tune you hum-de-hum-hum
So give it away, I think you'll learn
You'll get love in return
So bang, a boom-a-boomerang is love
A boom-a-boomerang is love
Love is always around and you can look for it anywhere
When you feel that you've found it my advice is to take good care
Never use it as a selfish tool
Never ever be such a fool
Every feeling you're showing
Is a boomerang you're throwing
Yes a bang, a boom-a-boomerang
Dum-be-dum-dum be-dum-be-dum-dum
Oh bang, a boom-a-boomerang
Love is a tune you hum-de-hum-hum
So give it away, I think you'll learn
You'll get love in return
So bang, a boom-a-boomerang is love
And if you're warm and tender
I'll kiss you, return to sender
Please surrender
Bang, a boom-a-boomerang
Dum-be-dum-dum be-dum-be-dum-dum
Oh bang, a boom-a-boomerang is love

Anger a Boomerang destructive..
To self own itself an enemy afflicted
Never can anger bond with the opponent
Instead can acquire grudgeful resentment
What else than being angry, angered then..
A thought of 'why' could be
Erratic, errorful itself On self own
Than on others erratic, errorful
O'dear friend
Attest, can any one errorless..no
Pray thereso by self's conscience
For no anger, no sin
O'dear friend
Attest, can anyone erroless...yes
So if there, pervades then love wholesome
A Boomerang constructive sans anger
O'dear friend, you decide on a Boomerang
Constructive or destructive..

Paper Boomerang
At the college where I work,
they teach people with learning difficulties.
Today while I was on my rounds,
I passed one of these people
a young lad I would say was about eighteen.
In his hand, he clutched a paper boomerang.
It was obviously something he had made.
He waved it to and fro,
as if he was ready to give it a quick throw.
In his eyes, you could see
the smile of satisfaction
with what he had achieved,
and then he was gone from my view
with his paper boomerang.

Hatred is a boomerang which is sure to hit you harder than the one at whom you throw it.
Desserts Anyone?
Alarms fire back...
Splat!
Landing square in your face;
While nightingales sing dirges-
Of never to be...
Aghost long tucked away...
Reappears again
Pointing guilty fingers
Towards YOU;
You so arrogant and sure
Are ruffled;
Your feathers are everywhere;
Taken by surprise
Were your decitful eyes...
While wearing a mask to cover your lies...
Exposed now in the worlds light--
Too brillant and much too bright--
Adenaline prepares you to fight---
Rebounding evil back to you...
A boomerang of 'just desserts'
Come right on through--
Its a backfire you cannnot undo;

Life is a cycle
Everything is bound to boomerang.
Only when it will, matters.
In a cycle, no end, no beginning,
You reach where from you had started.
You get what you had sent.
All in cycles, even the molecules.

A boomerang
I threw a boomerang to hurt you
It returned to me and hurt me too
Now I want you in my life again
But now my efforts are all in vain
Now I repent what I did
Now I repent for my greed
I dumped you like old garbage
Now I want back those old days
You could fill my life with joy
But I was not a good boy
I trapped you to fall in love
I made your path rough and tough
Now I make out how you felt
Now love makes my hard heart melt

Twin Virus Face to Face
PE 4 swimming lesson Amoranto, Cubao
I dive at the pool
swim freestyle
underwater
I open my eyes
Minute bacteria facing
face to face
drifting beneath
in chlorinated pool
bubbling
multiplying the germs
I step up
looking back universal solvent
I mirror myself
my face is floating
facing back to me
and boomerang single identity
macro germs contaminate
floating my unclaimed twin
since birth
accidentally we meet
today spreading viruses
in this mask-wearing world

I suppose everyone tells little white lies. Quite often they're necessary to make someone feel better or prevent feelings from being hurt. Whoppers? No, that's dangerous and they'll boomerang.

Drama Named Desire*(originally Titled 'passion')
desire hurled
into the wilderness of passion
hits back with the force
of a boomerang
desire burning the core
leaves one exhausted
throws one as a ragged doll
into a nondescript corner
desire flying high
falls flat to ground
like a wounded bird
directionlessly directed
this intiguing drama of desire
has no written script...

Year Of The Boomerang
Tha sistas are in so check the front line
Seems I spent the 80s in the haiti state of mind
Cast me into classes for electro shock
Straight incarcerated, the curriculums a cell block
Im swimmin in half truths and it makes me wanna spit
Instructor come separate the healthy from tha sick
Ya weigh me on a scale, smellin burnt skin
Its dark now in dachau and Im screamin from within
cause Im cell locked in tha doctrines of tha right
Enslaved by dogma, talk about my birthrights
Yet at every turn Im runnin into hells gates
So I grip tha cannon like fanon an pass tha shells to my classmates
Aw, power to tha people
cause tha bosses right ta live is mine ta die
So Im goin out heavy sorta like mount tai
Wit tha five centuries of penitentiary so let tha guilty hang
In tha year of tha boomerang
I got no property but yo Im a piece of it
So let tha guilty hang
I got no property but yo Im a piece of it
In the year of tha boomerang
I got no property but yo Im a piece of it
So let tha guilty hang
I got no property but yo Im a piece of it
In the year of tha boomerang
Yeah!
Now its upon you!
Now its upon you!

Memories!
Wherever I throw the boomerang,
It comes back to me as the memory,
In a circle of happy and sad treachery,
The glorious life of joyful moments,
Even at the hands of full and empty,
The torturous episode of gloomy thunder,
That echoed in the barren mind field,
Blooming of each little flower and pollination,
Victorious visuals and displays at the podium,
Sprouting of seedling on the shore of peaceful ocean,
Unforgettable storage of memories,
Come back to me to remind what to do,
What not to do, as you are the ancient teacher,
With the stern stick in hand to beat my heart and head,
Stay with me, how cruel your presence can be,
Stay with me, how sorrowful your stay can be,
When you leave I will not be the person,
Whom I want to be. Let me witness the scars,
Trials, tribulations and the success,
That have molded me..

Not Only Will This Be A Need
There is a certain need coming,
To be less thoughtless...
In our assessments expressed,
That affect feelings of others.
There is a consciousness that is shared.
And an unawareness of this is known by many.
But those days are soon to be gone.
With a 'dawning' within us all.
As if a light has been turned on!
And,
Whatever it is we send out to say...
Will boomerang to find its way back to us.
Maybe within minutes.
Maybe within hours.
Or perhaps in days.
There is a certain need coming,
To be less thoughtless...
In our assessments expressed,
That affect feelings of others.
And not only will this be a need.
It will be a wish desired.
