Theres Nothing Soft About Hard Times
By: jimmy buffett
1970
Every day held a new surprise
I watched the hunger burning in my sisters eyes
The paste-board shack we called a home
Would haunt me in my dreams
cause theres nothing soft about hard times
Theres nothing soft about hard times
We never knew anything groovy
A dime meant bread and not a movie
The muscles that controlled my smile were rarely ever used
cause theres nothing soft about hard times
Theres nothing soft about hard times
Chorus:
I had to go cause I could see
I wasnt meant for poverty
The family ties were broken soon
I went off to find the moon
So I sit on a bench in jackson square
I drink my wine and I breathe the midnight air
Tomorrow Ill just hit the street and bum another dime
cause theres nothing soft about hard times
Theres nothing soft about hard times
Chorus:
I had to go cause I could see
I wasnt meant for poverty
The family ties were broken soon
I went off to find the moon
So I sit on a bench in jackson square
I drink my wine and I breathe the midnight air
Tomorrow Ill just hit the street and bum another dime
cause theres nothing soft about hard times
Theres nothing soft about hard times
Theres nothing soft about
No, no, no, no hard times
Theres nothing soft about hard times
No, no, no, no those hard times
Theres nothing soft about hard times
Im going to tell you about the hard times
Theres nothing soft about hard times
No, no, no, no hard times

The Littly Irony About Love
he always keeps the line
bold and drawn between their
two intimate bodies
no matter how near there is always
kept the distance of
a certain space that gives him
the comfort of his
own mystery in this anonymity
of feelings like
some cover of a nut that is hard
and thick
the other knows this of course
but keeps his mouth shut
she likes it that way
the mystery of love dressed in husks
and shell
hard so hard outside but soft and
meaty inside
milky when grated and squeezed
like coconut

Soft And Hard
Soft and hard words
There in the dictionary
Soft and hard
In a man beautify him
Soft and hard
In right place and
In right time
Make the country
Most powerful
And soft and hard
Are the ingredients
Of smart power strategy.

With A 'Cup' Full Of Sugar
With a 'cup' full of sugar,
Reality will be squeezed out.
A reality will be squeezed out.
Yes,
A reality will be squeezed out.
And with a 'cup' full of sugar,
Reality will be squeezed out...
In every hopeful,
Pain...
Less,
Way!

I don't know why
On a day like today,
The heaven is soft with dew,
And in trees; birds have eyes crying,
But the air up in the sky was new.
With poppy clouds looking down,
From the broken road out of heaven,
Upon fine lines and pleasant farm,
A blanket of trees canvasses the ground.
There were farmers and shepherds,
Harvesting in the same field,
I don't know why the work was so hard?
Raking the soil and planting seed.
Shepherds find the grassy verge,
Where life is quiet and only soft birds sing,
In trees where they rest and observe,
The broken road to heaven.

A Therapy For Pain
I welcome death with open arms
Her soft breath and simple charm
Wandering through memories
Takes my hand for me to see
Tried so hard
Tried so hard
Echoes of innocence
Are my thoughts into dissent
Tried so hard
Tried so hard
Tried so hard
Tried so hard
When we finally reach the end
She lets go of my hand
Waking into realms of light
There will be no death tonight
Tried so hard
Tried so hard
Tried so hard
Tried so hard

Hard things alone will not make a wall. [Some soft substance must unite them: and so with hard men--to fraternize they require some soft influence from others.]
Follow Rules
I want everything
Soft and tender
No hard and fast.
Hard is breakable
Soft is not.
Slow and steady
is the necessity.
Speed is dangerous
is not conscious.
I want everything
And follow rules.

Broken Hearted
By eric clapton and greg phillinganes
When the wind blows down this hard,
Many a bond is broken.
See the water lie on the ground
From where the heavens opened.
Lord, how will you get through this night
With your dreams departed?
And who alone will comfort you?
Only the broken hearted.
So youve gone beyond your means,
Every wound is open,
Your best laid plans are out of reach,
And all your fears unspoken.
Chorus
Sweet revenge is spoken then;
In the twilight it is gone.
To living lies with no escape,
Lord, I would rather be alone.
I press my fingers to the wood
To tell you of my dreaming,
To sing you songs from olden times,
To keep the love light gleaming.
cause theres a place where we can go,
Where we will not be parted.
And who alone will enter there?
Only the broken hearted.
Only the broken, broken hearted.
Only the broken, broken hearted.
Only the broken, broken hearted.
Only the broken, broken hearted.

Everything Is Broken
Broken lines, broken strings, broken threads, broken springs
Broken idols, broken heads, people sleeping in broken beds
Aint no use jivin, aint no use jokin
Everything is broken
Broken bottles, broken plates, broken switches, broken gates
Broken dishes, broken parts, streets are filled with broken hearts
Broken words never meant to be spoken
Everything is broken
Seems like every time you stop and turn around
Someone else has just hit the ground
Broken cutters, broken saws, broken buckles, broken laws
Broken bodies, broken bones, broken voices on broken phones
Take a deep breath, feel like youre chokin
Everything is broken
Every time you leave and go off some place
Things fall to pieces in my face
Broken hands on broken plows, broken treaties, broken vows
Broken pipes, broken tools, people bending broken rules
Hound dog howlin, bullfrog croakin
Everything is broken

Soft Things
Soft things
You want soft things
You need soft things
Youll get soft things
You register a motion
You get a helpful hint
Theres a certain way it shivers when she shakes
Her mind seemed so chaotic
Her posture was erotic
And her voice was exotic
I acted so neurotic
I thought it idiotic
Her dance was so technotic
She became hypnotic
And now Im calling out for soft things
Something soft when times get hard
And now Im calling out for soft things
When something calls you youll know what to do
You find a longer wavelength
You hear a deeper note
Its a buried treasure that she doesnt hide

Soft Top, Hard Shoulder
Soft top, hard shoulder
See me running down that line
I cant stop too much older now
Let it run in overtime
Run till it breaks up
Overheats and explodes
Pick up whats left of me
Leave the rest of it way down that road
Soft top, hard shoulder
Soft top, hard shoulder
Step in to the flame
Blue centre, so much colder
Wont be the same again
Im gonna run till it breaks up
Overheats and explodes
Pick up whats left of me
Leave the rest of it way down that road
Soft top, hard shoulder

Tear
Tear
Is like hanged wet cloth
Some looks shiny
Some looks cheap
Some easy to dropp water
Some hard to be squeezed
Some quickly to dry
Some must wait much longer

So Soft
Held in your arms in the back seat,
Cruising down the main street,
How can anyone have such little defense?
You're soft.
In between the sheets, left in limbo,
Covered me like the pillow
I can hardly tell the difference.
You're soft,
So soft.
To be, to be with you
I'd leave everything.
But I don't know how to deal with you.
I swear you'd fall like a feather if I was cruel.
Love would melt me like hot butter.
You're soft,
So soft.
To be, to be with you
I'd do anything.
Walking down the street, brushing arms,
You're moonlight dancing.
I try hard to keep my feelings in.
You're soft.
Dancing to the music, so low.
I knead you like dough.
How can anyone be so loving
And soft,
So soft?
To be, to be with you
I'd leave everything.
But I don't know how to deal with you.
I swear you'd fall like a feather if I was cruel.
You melt me like hot butter.
You're soft,
So soft.
To be, to be with you
I'd do anything.

To Be (Love Poem)
Sometimes it’s hard to be apart
Sometimes it’s hard to be brave
Sometimes it’s hard to be cold
Sometimes it’s hard to be daring
Sometimes it’s hard to be early
Sometimes it’s hard to be friends
Sometimes it’s hard to be good
Sometimes it’s hard to be happy
Sometimes it’s hard to be in-love
Sometimes it’s hard to be just
Sometimes it’s hard to be kind
Sometimes it’s hard to be lovely
Sometimes it’s hard to be mellow
Sometimes it’s hard to be nasty
Sometimes it’s hard to be out
Sometimes it’s hard to be poor
Sometimes it’s hard to be quiet
Sometimes it’s hard to be ready
Sometimes it’s hard to be simple
Sometimes it’s hard to be together

Hard Head
(j watson)
If you play with fire
Then youre gonna get burned
When you were a baby
It was the first thing you learned
Said youre always wantin
Something you aint got now
When the weather gets cold
Then you want it hot now
Said a hard head
Makes a soft spot now
Yes it does baby, whoo, yeah yeah
If you violate speed laws
You do it at your own risk now
The first thing in the morning
Youre on the missing list now
If youre gonna drink now
Then you better not drive
Or else one of them sports cars
Might tan your hide
I said a hard head
Makes a soft spot now
Yeah yeah yeah
I said a hard head
Makes a soft spot now
Makes a soft spot now
Makes a soft spot now

Man & woman (3) 12 / 26 / ooo in bed
1) In bed a man's fail bring a woman's sorrow, but a woman's fail bring man's
exhaustion
2) In bed the hard part ends soft, but the soft parts end hard
3) A pole and a drench/ in bed the pole is bare and dry, but the drench is full
of fluid and shade
4) In bed the hard part ends thirsty, but the soft part ends full
5) In bed a woman cares for her inner part, but a man cares for external.
6) In bed one with monthly period, but the other is with daily one.
7) In bed a woman dries her body, but a man sweats salty water.
8) In bed the soft part shrinks deeper, but the hard part struts out
9) in bed a woman topping her man can smell another woman smell
10) In bed a silent woman angers her man, but a silent man arouse his.
