I made a decision that whether or not I was going to make under the national poverty level wasn't going to play a part in whether or not I was an actor. That's what I do.

Behind the Scenes
The actor struts his little hour,
Between the limelight and the band;
The public feel the actor's power,
Yet nothing do they understand
Of all the touches here and there
That make or mar the actor's part,
They never see, beneath the glare,
The artist striving after art.
To them it seems a labour slight
Where nought of study intervenes;
You see it in another light
When once you've been behind the scenes.
For though the actor at his best
Is, like a poet, born not made,
He still must study with a zest
And practise hard to learn his trade.
So, whether on the actor's form
The stately robes of Hamlet sit,
Or as Macbeth he rave and storm,
Or plays burlesque to please the pit,
'Tis each and all a work of art,
That constant care and practice means --
The actor who creates a part
Has done his work behind the scenes.

The decision he made with Usama bin Laden was a tactical decision. It wasn't a strategic decision. The strategic decision was made by President Bush to go after him. What President Obama has done on his watch, the issues that have come up while he's been president, he's gotten it wrong strategically every single time.

I think on some level, that's a fear that exists in everybody, that if we're tested, we won't make the courageous choice. We won't make the decision that would make us heroic. We make the decision that would reveal us to be all too human.

I was a guy who needed to go to class, because I had some raw talent that I thought was identifiable, when I finally made a decision to be an actor. And yet I wanted to learn how to really do the stuff. You know, 'How do I get to be a serious actor?'

I've always been terrified about being bored. I always think being bored is the worst thing. The only strategic decision I ever made as an actor was to try and make each job as different as possible.

I lost 90 pounds and my blood pressure went down to a normal level and the salt in my urine disappeared. And that was when I had to make the transition from fat character actor to thin character actor.

Poverty In The 21st Century
It’s the 21st century
The media displays it day and night,
Poverty.
Poverty across the globe lies
Poverty cries out from the belly of little boys
Little girls, parents too
Desperately searching for food,
Shelter, clothing, for love,
Companion, for attention
Those with plenty, refuse
To amend, a world haunted by
Poverty.
Is poverty affecting the rich?
Are their poverty the same
As the poor in financial constrains?
For they, too, poverty of love
I see poverty in the learned
I see poverty in those whose
Selfish acts are destroying society.
I see poverty in all level of humanity
The world is still an imperfect place
Yet life is still beautiful, the wind
Blows, we see it not, give thanks
For what you possess, now go,
Help if you can along the way,
Help to eradicate poverty
In your surrounding, widen
Your boundary across your
Country, to nations of the world.
Help to fight poverty, now!

I've never been in a bad play. There might have been bad productions and I might have been bad in them, but I've never been in a play that wasn't interesting or worthwhile doing on some level.

Content Matters
Container or content?
Is the ultimate question
To make a decision totally based on
The exterior is most people's perception
Later to find out
There is a need for correction
The content is the most, vital, important part
The best decisions are made
When there made from the heart
So, now I know where I must start
Stay true to myself and never part

Decisions
At the times decisions must be had, we weigh the good and the bad.
Decisions not always cut and dry, being left too often to wonder why,
What decision bears more weight, on the scale that people call fate?
Why do these things happen to me, just what is it that I can not see?
With decisions made from the heart, reason sometimes plays no part.
There is never rhyme or reason, when it’s your heart you’re pleasing.
And reason can seem kind of cold, when a decision seems to be bold.
However, it is never fate my friend, with our God, who knows the end.
With any decision that you make, there’s a chance a heart will break.
But you must remember my friend, that in due time hearts will mend.
Decisions come in various kinds, and burden both hearts and minds.
Whatever the decision, be assured, guidance is offered by The Lord.
Friend, you can humbly go to God, and He will light the path to trod.
And when you truly seek His face, God will fill your heart with Grace.
Make the decision and take a stand, even if others don’t understand.
If someone towards you is unkind, Christ will give you peace of mind.
The Lord will light the proper path, guiding you from the unkind wrath.
If you have never sought The Lord, He’s truly a source to be implored.
Christ will then show you the way, to make a decision in a Godly way.
With God make your decision then, leave it with The Savior my friend.

The actor should not play a part. Like the Aeolian harps that used to be hung in the trees to be played only by the breeze, the actor should be an instrument played upon by the character he depicts.

Matter Of Decision
Id be home free if I could make up my mind,
What to do about you.
One minute I think I love you, the next Im playing the fool.
Youre such a part of me, cant tear myself away from you.
Dont care what people say, I just wanna be close.
Ive changed my mind a thousand times,
Now its a case of do or die.
Theres no more time to reason why.
Now its a matter of decision,
Why cant I make up my mind?
I cant stand this indecision,
Im going out of my mind.
The world is in such a sorry state.
In the papers, in the news.
Politicians cant see their hands from their feet,
Nobody cares about the truth.
Wish I could make the world a better place for you and me.
You always run and hide, I only wanna be close.
The teachers stuff your head with lies,
And make it hard to realize,
Whats going on, whats wrong, whats right.
Well, its a matter of decision,
We all must make a stand,
For everything that we believe in,
Every woman, every man.
Its a matter of decision.
A matter of decision, a matter of decision.

In the years since I worked with John Hughes, there were many years where I literally had hundred of doors slammed in my face because I wasn't that kid anymore, and I wasn't a character actor, and I wasn't a leading man, and I wasn't whatever Hollywood was looking for.

Part of my strength as an actor comes from what I've learned all these years: when you play a villain, you try to get the light touches; when you play a hero, you try to get in some of the warts.

Actor Of Love
Hold on
I have found something I longing for
To fill the hollowness of my heart
But why I'm feeling more of sorrow
Before
I am the one who said: 'Oh, I'll control'
But now I realize you are my world
And it's waiting to break apart
I'm an actor of love
I'm trying to perfect
But I'm just fooling around
I'm an actor of love
I want to be your hero
But I've made myself a clown
I'm an actor of love
I need you by my side
But now you leave me alone
I'm an actor of love
I beg your forgiveness
But you refuse me so cold
Sometimes
We wonder why we should be together
Do we really dream of love forever?
Or we afraid to be alone
I'm an actor of love
I want to protect you
But I always hurt you bad
I'm an actor of love
I want to be your shield
But may turn someone you hate
I'm an actor of love
We kiss in the morning
But in night we have a war
I'm an actor of love
We care for each other
But we only circle round
If this love only makes me crazy
Take the story and just let it be
Tragedy or comedy
Or anything it wants to be

Missing Script (Not In Verse)
Rising
From a tribal mindset
To a politically conscious society
With rights and responsibilities
Defined is how this community will grow.
Being ethnocentric is not in the interest of any one
Except for keeping an identity and feeling of togetherness
The collective aim here is to advance in minds and spirit
From the basic humanism
To a conscious achievement of well defined objectives
We shall neither be the battle fields
Nor cannon fodder for global
Regional and local designs
Waziristan is our motherland
And carries to us the holiness of any sacred land
We some times must respect the wisdom of elders
And also some distinguished persons
Who are giving exposure to our youth
Both at the national level and international level
Poverty lack of education unemployment
Gender discrimination are just a few problems.
This community has all the potential
Of being a modern
Viable
Deeply cultural
And seeking to play its role
In modern civilized world
