For some reason, I grew up generally believing that Japan and Korea were quite friendly. I do know that there is some bad history and the extremists on both sides are unreasonable.

Big In Japan
Winters cityside
Crystal bits of snowflakes all around my head and in the wind
I had no illusions
That Id ever find a glimps of summers heatwaves in your eyes
You did what you did to me, now its history I see
Heres my comeback on the road again
Things will happen while they can
I will wait here for my man tonight, its easy when your big in japan
When your big in japan, tonight
Big in japan, be tight, big in japan where the eastern seas so blue
Big in japan, alright, pay, then Ill sleep by your side
Things are easy when youre big in japan, when youre big in japan
Neon on my naked skin
Passing silhouettes of strange illuminated mannequins
Shall I stay here at the zoo
Or shall I go and change my point of view for other ugly scenes
You did what you did to me, now its history I see...
Things will happen while they can
I will wait here for my man tonight, its easy when youre big in japan

The question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind of extremists we will be... The nation and the world are in dire need of creative extremists.

I do not agree with the extremists of either the left or the right, but I think they should be allowed to speak and to publish, both because they themselves have, and ought to have, rights, and once their rights are gone, the rights of the rest of us are hardly safe. Extremists typically want to squash not only those who disagree with them diametrically, but those who disagree with them at all. It seems to me that in every country where extremists of the left have gotten sufficiently in the saddle to squash the extremists of the right, they have ridden on to squash the center or terrorize it also. And the same goes for extremists of the right. I do not want that to happen in our country.

The stadiums are like none I've ever seen. I think there must have been some strong competition nationally between Korea and Japan to make the best facilities because they are very well designed.

Tell Me Now
Is my,
Loving you unreasonable?
Are my,
Feelings out of touch?
Do I,
Appear to be impossible?
Do you,
Think I clutch too much.
And is my,
Loving you unreasonable?
And are my,
Feelings out of touch?
And do I,
Appear to be impossible?
And do you,
Think I clutch too much.
Tell me now,
'Cause my patience is a keeper.
And you don't know how,
I can tolerate a need.
And this you know by now,
I have love for you forever.
And that somehow,
Is the reason why you think I'm here,
Because we shared a vow?
Is my,
Loving you unreasonable?
Tell me now...
Are my,
Feelings out of touch?
Tell me now...
Do I,
Appear to be impossible?
Tell me now...
Do you,
Think I clutch too much.
And that 'too much' is enough!
Tell me now,
Has that too much been enough?
Tell me now,
Is my loving you unreasonable?
Tell me now,
Has that too much been enough?
Tell me now...
Do you,
Think I clutch too much?
Tell me now...
Do you think I am impossible?
Tell me now...
Do you think I love too much.
Tell me now...
Do you think I love too much.
Tell me now...
Do you think I love too much.

aaa1 you are, she is, I am She was (conversations in my head)
You are,
She is
The most beautiful memory
And you are
She is, the reason the words won’t come
You are the dream I let go
She was more than I can tell you
You are less than you believe yourself to be
She is two sides of the same story and more than she knows
You gave me just enough, just enough
She stole my respect without me realising
You had to have it your way
She knew my weakness, exploited it
You had the most perfect lips
I still see my finger tracing their arch
Your lips, your lips in bedroom shade
Let me tell you I miss her lips
You have no idea what you did to me, no idea
It still hurts, still hurts, still hurts
Your memory refuses to die, you won’t go away
She is my history, my beautiful, wonderful, painful history
That is what you are, history,
Painful history

There Must Be A Reason
there must be a reason for everything
a reason for sadness and joy
a reason for depression and recovery
of the senses
a reason for laughter and tears
a reason for leaving and meeting
a reason for grieving and celebrating
there must be a reason for all these
but for the meantime that i am having
this little fun with you
this drink of beer
and little silly talks about failures
and broken dreams
a little variety
a shying away from harsh realities
talks about other people's miseries
let me forget first about reasons
either for anything or everything
let me feel how is it to be unreasonable
unexplainable and
unfathomable
let me unbreak what i made whole
let me speak the unspeakable
let me forget the grounds
let me be drunk
and unthinking
let me be not myself on this hour
on this short moment
of my failure
let me have this needed
laughter
a toast to misery.

Part of my heritage being Korean, it's going to be interesting going to Korea and answering these questions dealing with North and South Korea.
I simply wanted to state that during this little slice of history, this is what happened and these were the good sides of it, these were the more dangerous sides of it, and this was the result.

Honor And Courage
In Japan, they write on rice paper,
In America, we write on the sides of buildings.
In Japan they honor their elders,
In America, we rob them on buses,
And abuse them.
In Japan there is great love for their country.
In America, people are refusing to stand,
For the national anthem.
In Japan, men are volunteering to die,
Without a second thought,
To give up their lives,
To save their fellow citizens.
Oh yes, you'll say, the Japanese are great,
At dying, at suicide missions.
But is that the point?
Shouldn't the point be,
The Japanese love their homeland,
The Japanese love their own people,
The Japanese love their way of life,
The Japanese love their traditions,
Love, honor, respect, courage,
Nobody writes on Japanese walls.
Offenders are quickly and severely dealt with.
Wouldn't you volunteer also?
Maybe not.
Honor, and courage,
Seem to be,
In short supply,
Stateside.
