One Rule For.....

Made a mistake,
Punishment she would take.
Broke the law,
A ‘fine' she bore!
Error on her part, oversight,
Defend as she might.
The P.M. backed,
She wasn't sacked.

She was wrong,
She should have gone.
Yet another example,
Yes another sample.
One rule for us, one for them,
That's the problem.

Rich and privileged 'get away' with it,
Poor and rest of us, never benefit.
On it does go,

Theres a heart in the middle of somewhere tonight
Screaming for reasons or just a way out
I put the shirt off my back on a wager that says
Theres one every night from my old school yard days
I hear you say one golden rule
One golden rule
Theres been times Ive been stood in the wind and the rain
Freezing and busted and tricked out of luck
And I cursed my teachers for all of their reading
What we needed most cant be found in them books

Now they teach you to swim but they dont speak of the danger
Tell you the truth but they never say why
Put you on ice that is thin and tell you its winter

These Days 'Everything' Seems To Be Shaky

We all seem to be needing,
Some sort of life support these days.
To say nothing is what it use to be,
Is an understatement...
Made by many of us,
Walking around in a daze.

Up use to be UP.
And being 'down' was easily detected,
By those with frowns.
But it is hard to say who is swayed,
Or who is standing on solid ground.
If any validity of that can be found.

We all seem to be needing,
Some sort of life support these days.
To say nothing is what it use to be,
Is an understatement...
Made by many of us,
Walking around in a daze.

And delayed common sense,
To prevent protected thoughts from leaking.
Is perhaps the best defense,
For a peace kept to keep that one is seeking.
Even speaking these days seems to be a waste.
Will eventually be labelled crazed is some way.

And being 'down' was easily detected,
By those with frowns.
But it is hard to say who is swayed,
Or who is standing on solid ground.
If any validity of that can be found around.

These days 'everything' seems to be shaky!
In a waiting for 'something'...
To either be settled.

To allure, need not be a nude

The mere imprint of your bra belt
Beneath the tight-fit voile blouse
That I had scanned on your back,
While sitting behind you in a bus
Was so much to kindle my lust
That even a cabaret dancer at best
Can’t emulate with her naked breast.
