During the war years I worked on the development of radar and other radio systems for the R.A.F. and, though gaining much in engineering experience and in understanding people, rapidly forgot most of the physics I had learned.

Biological engineering is not necessarily understanding systems but rather, I want to be able to design and build biological systems to perform particular applications.
Radar For Love
Passion fire runnin through my veins
Get a little bit of love and I go insane
I may talk big, baby, I dont lie
Ooh the guys dont know but the girls know why
Ooh girls know why, whoo oh

When you feel so hot that you cant hold still
And you dont know how youre gonna get your fill
Send an s.o.s. baby, Im your man

I probably worked every single entertainment medium, including some that don't exist. I worked the circus, carnival, I had my own medicine show, I worked 18 years of radio.
And With Faith....
i have tried, especially in my later years,
to surround myself with people who know
more than i do, whose understanding is
deeper...
people of diverse backgrounds, who hold
strong opinions... strongwilled people, who
are not afraid to speak and to stand...
and i've worked hard on learning the art
of listening... you'd be amazed what there
is to hear!
especially old people, who've worked and
struggled for years, passionate people with
dreams, hopes, and needs.
what i write is a mixture of my journey and
theirs.... but arent all journeys interwoven?
it seems i'm in constant contact with god,
in various forms, simple acts, usually when
least expected.
i guess what i'm trying to say is thank you...
something i think we all forget to do.
let us live these waning moments with passion,
with storm, with gratitude, and with faith!

Engineering is not merely knowing and being knowledgeable, like a walking encyclopedia engineering is not merely analysis engineering is not merely the possession of the capacity to get elegant solutions to non-existent engineering problems engineering is practicing the art of the organized forcing of technological change... Engineers operate at the interface between science and society...

The violent reaction on the recent development of modern physics can only be understood when one realises that here the foundations of physics have started moving; and that this motion has caused the feeling that the ground would be cut from science.

Check It Out
Million young poets
Screamin?out their words
To a world full of people
Just livin?to be heard
Future generations
Ridinon the highways that we built
I hope, that they have better understanding
Check it out
Goin to work on monday
Check it out
Got yourself a family
Check it out
All utility bills have been paid
You cant tell your best buddy
That you love him
So check it out
Where does our time go
Check it out
Got a brand new house in escrow
Check it out
Sleepin?with your back
To your loved one
This is all, we have learned
About happiness
Check it out,
Forgot to say hello to my neighbours
Check it out
Sometimes i question my own behavior
Check it out
Talkin?about the girls, weve
Seen on the sly
Just to tell our souls
Were still the young lions
So check it out
Gettin?too drunk on saturdays
Check it out
Playin?football with the kids
On sundays
Check it out
Soaring with the eagles all week long
And this is all, we have learned
About living
This is all, we have learned
About living
A million young poets
Screamin?out their words
Maybe someday
Those words will be heard
By future generations
Ridin?on the highways that we built
Maybe theyll have a better understanding
Check it out
Maybe theyll have a better understanding
Check it out
Maybe theyll have a better understanding
Check it out
Maybe theyll have a better understanding
Check it out
Hope theyll have a better understanding
Check it out ...

In a previous life I wrote the software that controlled my physics experiments. That software had to deal with all kinds of possible failures in equipment. That is probably where I learned to rely on multiple safety nets inside and around my systems.

Aftermath
Now the radio stutters. snaps to life.
Some sour song that sets it right.
And when London falls
He'd like to call
But the stars collide.
They're beautiful and much maligned.
In a universe where you see the worst,
And it's up to you to fix it.
Now you've worked it out
And you see it all
And you've worked it out
And you see it all
And you want to shout
How you see it all
It's easy to dismiss the "what's it all about" crowd.
There is no doubt. it's this, here, now.
And you close your eyes.
He's not coming back.
So you work it out, overfeed the cat.
And the plants are dry and they need to drink.
So you do your best. and you flood the sink.
Sit down in the kitchen and cry.
Now you've worked it out
And you see it all
And you've worked it out
And you see it all
And you want to shout
How you see it all
Now the universe left you for a runners lap.
It feels like home when it comes crashing back.
And it makes you laugh
And it makes you cry,
When London falls
And you're still alive.
The radio stutters,
It makes you laugh
And the aftermath,
Open up your eyes.
You're so alive.
Now you've worked it out
And you see it all
And you've worked it out
And you see it all
And you want to shout
How you see it all
How you've worked it out
And you see it all
How you've worked it out
And you see it all

Eyes-radio-lies
Slipping past position
You know I watch you dive
Watching you painted in chrome max factor
And feeling number one
all alone now
I can see you way, to the drone
Radio waves, hitting your brain from the phone
I can see
I cant see whats on your mind
Because your never alone
I am the voice inside your head
And the eyes in your radio
Im the eyes in your radio (radio, radio)
Im the eyes in your radio (radio, radio)
Hello mr. race car driver
You know Im watching you too
In the trauma-room, brain dead, still you went faster
Now your number means nothing
Mr. nickel-plated candyman
Are you feeling in lifeless in aluminum
Spinning decisions to the core
As everyone dances in the fast lane
I cant see whats on your mind
Because your never alone
I am the voice inside your head
And the eyes in your radio
Im the eyes in your radio (eyes in your radio)
Im the eyes in your radio (radio, radio)
With all thats fake, theres sence to make
From toys that break (from toys that, from toys that break)
Its time to throw away, all the bad things that you hated
You scared yourself away, now heres what you appreciate
Thats why people lie (people like you)
Thats why people lie (people like me)
Thats why people lie (people like you)
Thats why people lie (people like me)
Thats why people lie (so go away)
Thats why people lie (people like me)
Thats why people lie (people like you)
Thats why people lie
Im the eyes in your radio (eyes in your radio)
Im the eyes in your radio (radio, radio)
With all thats fake, theres sence to make, from toys that break (radio,
Radio...)
With all thats fake, theres sence to make, from toys that break (radio,
Radio...)
With all thats fake, theres sence to make, from toys that break
With all thats fake, theres sence to make, from toys that break

What Happens To You?
what happens to you when
you're in your late fifties,
forty years of on-the-job experience....
and your job shuts down!
you lose everything you've worked for
in an instant.... no job, no future...
and no degree!
invisible people with hard earned callouses....
dedicated moral earn their way people...
not everyone wants...
to be a Walmart greeter!
