remembering J.
TWO kids on the side
of the river
and there was a big boulder
sort of the Rock
on the other side
in between is a deep dark
portion and they swam toward
the other side
climb the steep stone
and on wet hair and
dripping waters from their
skins
they bask under the sun
and feel all the warmth
of that friendship
above their heads the white herons
pass by

The Game Of Life
I play this game every day
I don’t need smarts or wisdom
I can be rich or poor
I can be a queen or a homeless
I can live in a castle or live on the streets
it’s all of my choosing
I hop from rock to rock
afraid of drowning
I can come across
bumpy rocks that are hard to cross
or
smooth rocks that I walk across
I could give up when a hard to climb rock comes along
or
I could fight until I get to the top
I could create my own person as I grow
or
let someone do it for me
it’s all in my choosing

attempting to climb
to impossible heights
to touch elusive sky
this is inherent

Never Know Why
If were offensive and pose a threat
You fear what we represent is a mess
Youve missed the message that says it all
And youll never know why
Oh no youll never know why
We rock
Its just a feeling how we excite
You cannot rule everybody in sight
But you condemn dont understand
And youll never know why
Oh no youll never know why
We rock rock rock
We rock rock rock
We rock rock rock
Youll never know why
We rock
I leave you cold and in disgust
Dont try to tame me youll eat my dust
I know that you know not what you do
Thats why youll never know why
Oh no youll never know why
We rock rock rock
We rock rock rock
We rock rock rock
Youll never know why
We rock rock rock
We rock rock rock
We rock rock rock
Youll never know why
We rock

Rock Your Heart Out
Got the devil in you
Got the devil in me
Play a dangerous tune
Come on and dance with thee
You got to throw your fists up
Shout your mouth out
Beat the walls down
Got to freak out
Rock your little
Rock your little
Rock your little heart out
(you gotta rock it on down)
Got everything you want
Got everything you need
Dont worry about the cost
Just sell your soul to me
You gotta bring the house down
Beat the drums loud
Bleed your life dry
Climb on lets fly
Rock your little
Rock your little
Rock your little heart out
Rock, rock your little heart out
(rock it on down)
(cut your teeth on this)
You gotta put your foot down
Beat your chest hard
Blow your brains out
Feel her shout loud
You gotta rock your heart out
Rock your heart out
Rock, rock your little heart out
(you rocket of love)

S1
the myth of sisyphus
somehow after 50 years
is no longer a myth.
the rock is as true as the
inclined uphill
climb
i breathe
and take some air
for i shall climb again
and put this rock
and roll it down again
and put it up again
i breathe
more life
and haven't mentioned yet
that death
is a reasonable option.

I'm Gonna Take That Mountain
I'm gonna take that moutain
I was born a stubborn soul
Ain't afraid of the great unknown
Or a windin' road that's all uphill
This is just a stumblin' block
Intimidatin' wall of rock
If you think this broken heart will break my will
I'm gonna take that mountain
Ain't nothin' gonna slow me down
And there ain't no way around it
Gonna leave it level with the ground
Ain't just gonna cross it, climb it, fight it
I'm gonna take that mountain
It's overwhelmin' lookin' up
And knowin' it's the challenge of me
Against this heartache to survive
I may slip and I may fall
But even if I have to crawl
I'll break through to the healin' side
I'm gonna take that mountain
Ain't nothin' gonna slow me down
And there ain't no way around it
Gonna leave it level with the ground
Ain't just gonna cross it, climb it, fight it
I'm gonna take that mountain
Ain't just gonna cross it, climb it, fight it
Yeah, I'm gonna take that mountain
Ain't nothin' gonna slow me down
And there ain't no way around it
Gonna leave it level with the ground
Ain't just gonna cross it, climb it, fight it
I'm gonna take that mountain

I'm gonna take that mountain

Learning How To Rocknroll
Billy on his way to school
Didnt care too much about the teachers and rules
But he had a plan he said hed try it one day
One he knew would leave them all with nothing to say
He had a friend who said hed teach him how to rock and roll
After school when he was feelin good
Hed go home and do the things that he understood
He would rock in the kitchen and roll in the hall
And billys mother said you got no sense at all
But we know too well that he was
Learning how to rock and roll
cos he would rock in the kitchen roll in the hall
Stand on the tv and climb up the wall
Jive on the ceiling lay on the floor
Crawl through the bathroom and cry out for more
And thats the only way to do it
When youre learning how to rock and roll
Teach me to rock...
Willy turns to the mirror and gives his hair a flip
He would mime to elvis and curl his lip
Ha ha in the kitchen
Ha ha in the hall
Willys mother said you got no sense at all
But we know too well that he was
Learning how to rock and roll
cos he would rock in the kitchen roll in the hall
Stand on the tv and climb up the wall
Jive on the ceiling lay on the floor
Crawl through the bathroom and cry out for more
And thats the only way to do it
When youre learning how to rock and roll
Teach me to rock...
He learnt to rock and roll
And sing the blues
He learnt to head shake
While singing blue suede shoes
He learnt a hand clap
Off the beat
And at the gig he had them out of their seats
Its the only way to do it so long live rock and roll
cos he would rock in the kitchen roll in the hall
Stand on the tv and climb up the wall
Jive on the ceiling lay on the floor
Crawl through the bathroom and cry out for more
And thats the only way to do it
When youre learning how to rock and roll
Teach me to rock...

Sonnet: Climb, We Must
Climb we must, each step in life every day;
Climb we must, each rung in life, one by one;
Climb we must, with care slowly all the way;
Climb but steadily, it isn’t merely fun.
Haste could make a waste: fatal could be fall;
Tougher’s the climb when on the steeper side;
Time is short but still we obey His call;
God is our Master in whom we abide.
We ought to rest but when we find the time;
Climb we must, all day and rest during night;
Though success may not come, our duty’s prime;
God is our guide always: Beacon of light.
We ought to reach the place earmarked by God,
Although unshod and though we are from clod.

My Findings Of You
you have the ground ready
but i think it lacks the sincerity
of fertility,
try sowing the seeds of your imagination
look at what sprouts from there
fake mushrooms that poison the brew
or legumes that provide nitrogen in air?
do not be afraid of thorns
they are the initial marks of real roses
neither should you be afraid of snakes
they are the precursors of medicine
do not be afraid of the rage of the rivers
they all lead to your freedom to the sea
do not be afraid of heights and mountain tops
they are the only chances for us to rise

The Crystal (Part II of A True Experience)
the multi-storey perhaps three storey
grim and desolate building
-so dark and devoid of love-
struck me like the one i saw recently
in Wuthering Heights, the 1930s
black and white British film
as the dream came on,
something inside told me,
it was a building where such
a chilling tragedy did strike
shadows, echoes and a
menacing atmosphere overran
the rundown building
there was no door except
an opening to a dark interior
cold as caves
Wuthering Heights where memories
only cut through the heart and wounds
to set them bleeding once more
the beau and belle so
completely overwhelmed by love
their despair still eats up
every moment here
my family quite strangely
i thought were all up there
looking at the furniture,
decor, relics perhaps
i felt the rush to join them
but was held back by the
intimidating atmosphere
that resulted in a drenched feeling
flitting bats threw their shadows
as they looked relentlessly for a corner
to hook on as home
a big black dog barked
from the dark hall, another one ran
onto the scene but miserably failed
to warm the place up
a middle aged depressive
looking caucasian male
walked from one side of the buidling
stared at me, before i was summoned
back to the darkness of my room

Hills
Everyday we climb hills
real and imaginary.
Some are steep
and hard to climb,
others are gentle
and there we take our time.
However, whatever hill we climb,
it is always easier
once we’ve reached the top
and come down the other side

Dead Rock Star
(feat. The Stooges)
They think that I've got the bread
They want to read my head
The position show his cool
Like football star in school
Someone to sell me
Someone to tell me
I'm a dead rock star
in a dead rock car
I'm a dead rock star
I'm so afraid of failing
I hang onto the railing
This cold hard graduation
Kills all infatuation
I took the hazing
They said "amazing"
I'm a dead rock star
in a dead rock car
I'm a dead rock star
I gathered awful knowledge
You cannot get in college
Would you like Cain or Abel
I'll bring them to the table
They try to rope me
They try to grope me
I'm a dead rock star
in a dead rock car
I'm a dead rock star
What can I hope for ?
What can I hope for ?
Nothing to live for
Nothing to live for
I'm a dead rock star
in a dead rock car
I'm a dead rock star

Up, Up And Away
I get a feeling when I close my eyes,
I can climb to heights.
And nothing then envisioned,
Has a border to minimize.
I get a feeling when I close my eyes,
I can reach for anything...
To touch.
With a continuing done of my rise.
Because I...
Am,
The creator of all my rules.
I don't need a yardstick to prove what I can do.
Because I...
Am,
The doer that pursues to undo limits.
Unrestricted I am up...
Up and away.
Hey.
I get a feeling when I close my eyes,
I can climb to heights.
And nothing then envisioned,
Has a border to minimize.
Unrestricted,
I...
Am up, up and away.

Fear Of Dying
I'm not afraid of standing still
I'm just afraid of being bored
I'm not afraid of speaking my mind
I'm just afraid of being ignored
I'm not afraid of feeling
and I'm not afraid of trying
I'm just afraid of losing
And I am afraid of dying
Without you yes I do and I hope that you do too
Without you yes I do
Without you yes I do and I hope that you do too
Without you yes I...
I'm not afraid of being sick
I'm more afraid of being well
I'm not afraid
Put the gun in my hand
I'm just afraid it will hurt like (hurt like) hell
I'm not afraid of screaming
and I'm not afraid of crying
I'm just afraid of forgetting
And I am afraid of dying
Without you yes I do and I hope that you do too
Without you yes I do
Without you yes I do and I hope that you do too
Without you yes I...
Fear of
Fear of
Fear of
Fear of
I'm not afraid of looking ugly
I couldn't care what they say
I'm not afraid of happy endings
I'm just afraid my life won't work that way
I'm not afraid of forgiveness
I absolve you everything
I'm not afraid of lying...
But I am afraid of dying
Without you yes I do and I hope that you do too
Without you yes I do
Without you all I do is sit and think about you
Without you yes I...

Guardian
Louder to him than the deafening cries,
Are the gunshots that pierce each man as he dies.
He looks about and sees the demise,
Of his once good friends and his trusted allies.
He was scared of death and fell to the ground,
Trying his best to make an audible sound.
He closed his eyes and held in his tears,
The fight soon ended confirming his fears.
He waited awhile and then got up,
Inside of a building, a bomb then blew up.
He let loose his tears, and in his mind he said,
I was a coward, I wish I were dead!
Watching the building, he noticed a child,
Helpless and trapped; that's when he smiled.
A chance for redemption, now was his time,
He ran into that building and started to climb.
Collapsing around him, the ceiling now trembled,
He jumped for the child as the floor disassembled.
Quickly he grabbed that child and ran,
the fastest he could, toward where he came in.
Just as it fell, he made it outside,
Collapsed to the ground, with the kid at his side.
The coward he was at the start of the day,
is dead now; the soldier is here to stay.

If our hearts are true by Meena Mustafa
Let me be the one to be by your side
when the horizon looks narrow, I'll sketch a picture wide
I'll fill it up with colors ever so bright
together we will climb the mountains to its heights.
I'll welcome you with open arms and share your beautiful dreams
my love how did this happen! Miracle now it seems...
You never know what God has in store for us
I'm sure its all good, and it's HE who I trust
Listen to your heart and to your soul
Together we will make it, and that's what I have been told
I know you are there for me, and here I am for you
May we be blessed, if our hearts are true.
