There is nothing we can't do. So it's just the fact that we're doing topics like that that other people, especially network TV, won't touch, that we're satirists.

Under The Table

Bring on the hot topics,
Afraid by others to mention or touch.
Bring on those subjects,
That disturb the ones...
Sitting on their self righteous butts.

People of a certain 'standard',
Seldom openly discuss...
Appalling and unappealing matters,
That are for them below their upturned noses.
Although they may 'pocket' royalities...
From that which in public,
They will claim disgusts!

Bring on the hot topics,
Afraid by others to mention or touch.
Bring on those subjects,
That disturb the ones...
Sitting on their self righteous butts.
From places directed...
To get a piece of their under the table taking,
Of the giving of 'cuts' they love so much.

'Did you see and hear what I heard?
I can't BELIEVE what is being tolerated these days.
Such filth.
Excuse me...
Do you mind telling the waiter,
We will have another round of caviar and champagne.'

Network For Lonely People

Lonely People

Are those people

Who don't have a network

Of friends that works

For them.

Getting lonely people

To network

Is hard work

And not gleeful,

But it can be done.

Fodder I Would Consider As Topics

I am amazed by those,
Who 'assume' they provide fodder...
I would consider as topics for my poems.
And I have stated on several occasions,
I am not inspired like that.

There is something that happens inside of me,
That dictates where my attention is zapped by attraction.
And it becomes a source to enforce,
Upon my consciousness with a focused concentration.
I wish there was an easier explanation!
But I did not learn what I do in school.

And I wish there was something connected I could say,
To have those who are curious accept and go away!

Like...
I just love the sound of rhyme.
Or...
I wasn't good at sports,
So poetry was less physical.
How about this one...
I grew up in a dysfunctional environment.
And a pad and pen became my best friends.
Maybe...
Writing was cheaper than paying a psychiatrist.

Seriously,
Writng 'was' cheaper than paying a psychiatrist.
And since I've been writing most of my life...
I declare myself 'freed' of issues and mentally stable.

Well...
Maybe I am not completely freed of 'all' issues.

And...
Why is it some people,
Take other people and their time for granted?
As if one's love for something,
Does not automatically means there is an absence...
Of a work ethic.
Or there is no initiative, motivation or discipline involved.

There are many people without a creative bone in their bodies,
Who are the first to believe...
Doing something one does not like,
Is practical.
And that reflects a 'normal' society!
'And' more acceptable than enjoying one's life!

I am amazed by those,
Who 'assume' they provide fodder...
I would consider as topics for my poems.
And I have stated on several occasions,
I am not inspired like that.

In fact,
Very 'few' people inspire me period.

I Hate The Fact

I hate the fact
that one can steal your heart
and leave it broken in many parts
I hate the fact
that one can make you feel
but then you looked he had turned the wheel
I hate the fact
that one can catch your eye
and finally find it was for a while
I hate the fact
that one can sweep you off your feet
into a fantasy that only you could feel
I hate the fact
that when you hear ones name
you remember he was once your dame
I hate the fact
that you had to go
and you left me here with a broken soul
I hate the fact
that love was there
but left me in pain that one cant bare
I hate the fact
that memories hurt
and that nothing ever seems to ever work
I hate the fact
that i cry so much
that everyday i long to feel your touch
I hate the fact
that i cant move on
but maybe its something that can make me strong

Politely Ignored Sensitive Issues

topics dangerous not boring
topics taboo change with time
topics modern 9/11 heated

topics old simmer fade off agenda
or erupt renew in hybrid forms
opinions are often cheque banked on

thus once also was the issue of slavery
some gained wealth through the chains
brutality inflicted upon unfortunate others

most politely ignored a sensitive issue
safety sitting upon their neutral fence
while a few enlightened minds risked

all in dreams of freedom
believing slavery to be wrong
prepared to pay freedom

financial blood or life cost.

The issues change faces
the risks still impale
victim sacrificed flesh.

Such is life
gross indifferent preach
without empathy

while sitting upon
neutrality fence
without a care.

Wee Folk (read Only If You Believe)

Wee People

Tis a pity and a shame, that no one knows me name
Tis a fact that I’m a hard to know little fellow
In the glens and the highlands, people know me fame
And the fact I carry gold that glitters yellow

Tis a fact that rainbows touch the sod…and
Where they touch, there be treasure
And that silken thread from thistle pod
Ties rainbows ends to heather

Me self and me kinfolk, nimble and quick
Know exactly where the rainbows end
And no mortal yet has managed to trick
A wee person into telling the where or the when

Mortals no longer believe in wee people and such
Tis a pity the magic they’ve lost
One should feel wonder and mystical touch
And cling tightly to magic at all cost

One hears haunting airs from plaintive pipes
In the mist that drifts down from the highlands
Wee peoples homes pierce though mountains mist
Float about like enchanted emerald islands

Leave some good Irish whiskey in a shallow silver dish
Suuure… for some crumpets and some scones we’d be beholden
And if it’s happy it would make you, as you leave, make a wish
But you must believe, to perceive of things magic, ancient and golden

O’er foggy loch and deep in misty glen
In the highlands and in the dell
Whether you believe in us or not, my friend
Wee folk and our treasure still dwell

Because The Night

Take me now, baby
Here as I am
Hold me close
Try and understand
The sirens hunger
Is the fire I breathe
Love is the banquet
On which we feed
Come on now
Try and understand
The way I feel
When Im in your hands
Take my hand
As the sun descends
You cant touch me now
Cant touch me now
Cant touch me now...
Because the night belongs to lovers
Because the night belongs to love
Because the night belongs to lovers
Because the night belongs to love
If we believe in the fact were lovers
If we believe in the fact were trust
If we believe in the fact were lovers
Because the night belongs to love

Throttled Up To Crave A Nonstopping Of Topics

Throttled up to crave a nonstopping of topics,
With an outreach stretching towards...
The feeding of a boundless curiousity.

How others can live lives closed and limited,
Is an enforce of choice it seems...
One marries and should divorce to dream.

Bottled up to slowly fizz a pop,
An effervescence contained...
Rushes with a flow that can not be blocked.

And excitement like that,
Has to be encouraged a lot.
Especially in valleys,
Where those shuffle with gloom.
And living without ambition,
As if fed on doom.

Throttled up to crave a nonstopping of topics,
With an outreach stretching towards...
The feeding of a boundless curiousity.

This should be contagious.
But instead,
Is shunned.

People should find themselves outrageous,
And crazed.
But instead these days,
They look backward in darkness.
And not ahead to seek Sun.

There Is No Happiness In The Blog

'Where' he said 'is what I am looking for?
'In your eyes' she said.

'Where is what I need' he said.
'In what you heed' she said.

'Where is my Love' he said.
'In the giving of, ' she said.

'Where do I find peace' he said.
'In the community', she said.

'Where is happiness, ' he said
'In truth for more than one' she said.

'Why I am looking for all this? ' he said
'Because you keep looking out there' she said

'All true things' she said 'are not located out there
nor all in here;
rather all things are in the relationships we have
with our selves
and others who relate within, between and among-
creating therefore an infinite nexus-
the ultimate social network.
So where you might ask is happiness in a network?

'It, 'she said 'is in the connectedness
not in the individuals who blog there.
Oh, he said.
