If you make it sound too much like a synth, it will just sound like a guitar part played on a synth.

Orchestras are not used to playing the kind of stuff jazz musicians like to play. It requires a lot of rehearsal and recording time, so it's much easier to do on a synth or sampler. So, we came up with that idea.

Sound of war
...
Bum! Bum! Bum!
Sound of war
it's like the roaring of a lion
I the jungle.
Sound of war
It's like flash of the lightening
Sound of war
It make people lose their strength
Sound of war
It make people to run to and fro
Sound of war
Um...
Sound of war
make people hopeless
when there is hope
Sound of war is cruel
Because it make people shudder
It make people suffer, shudder shiver, cringe
And due before they die
Sound of war
Oops!
Ouch!
Phew!

A Lover's Melody or And from the Oboe Came a Pretty Sound
And from the oboe came a pretty sound
The crescendo called love
From the bell that was his lover's heart
More beautiful than anything
Vivaldi could compose
True, she was an oboe
Alone, in an orchestra of drums, saxophones, and pianos
But she met a guitar
A beautifully carved acoustic instrument
That made a sound like no other
She'd ever heard
Together they made sweet, sweet music
The love-struck oboe wanted to stay
With the guitar, cut a deal, and
Make some records
But, alas, the guitar
Was completely unaware
Of the melody the oboe was playing
From the oboe came a pretty sound
And the guitar, he sung back
Of the returned love
The oboe was looking for,
It was a tune of lament—sad and slow
For he knew he could not give her
What she desired
So he set himself on fire
And from the guitar came a descend
When the oboe found her lover she
picked up what was left of he
and put it in a box of oak
and sailed it off to sea
the oboe knew no sad songs
but she wanted to sing him a tune
so on the beautiful sunset on June
she hummed him what she knew…
…and from the oboe came a pretty sound

Sounds that should not be missed
Sound of blossom of a flower,
I desire to hear,
the sound of nature.
Sound of rain's glassy water drop,
over a roof's top,
the sound of joy.
Sound of beat of our heart,
through our ears caught,
the sound of wonder.
Sound of delicious supper in boil,
after a great day's toil,
the sound of hunger.
Sound of a mother's loving ballad,
hearing the cry of her toddler,
the sound of love! ! !

You'll Never Work In Dis Bidness Again
By: jimmy buffett, michael utley, vince melamed, josh leo,
Willie weeks, matt betton
For all of those who have dared to try, made it, and lived to tell about it.
-- spoken:
"he told it to the monkeys and they didn't talk back"
"then he told the old iguana and he didn't attack"
They told me before i started
That it never ever would work out
Stay in school, don't be a fool
But i had to see what life was about
So i went to biloxi seekin' fortune and fame
I got hired, i got fired, i got called dirty names
You'll never (never), never (never), work in dis bidness again
You'll never (never), no never (never)
Never work in dis bidness again
I knew i needed representation
And i found it one night in a bar
He was a bondsman and a part-time agent
And he said that he would make me a star
He said', "aaaah, you don't have to be that good
To make it out in hollywood
You just have to change and complain"
Or you'll never (never), never (never), work in dis bidness again
You'll never (never), no never (never)
Never work in dis bidness again
(synth and horn instrumental)
I parked cars at the rainbow
I sold maps of the stars
I got my nose broke in spago's
When i puked on the bar
And all i played's a double barmitzvah
(bubba played a double barmitzvah!)
It's a jungle out there (we love it)
Hell, i don't care
I'm going back to my predator friends
I will never (never), never (never), work in this bidness again
No i'll never (never), no never (never)
Never work in this bidness again
You'll never (never), never (never), work in this bidness again
-- spoken:
"ah, relax, vhere do you tink you're going vit dat suitcase?"
"i'm outta here!"
"you're leaving?! vat about my fifteen percent?"
"fifteen percent of nothin' is nothin'!"
"young man, you leave now and you'll never..."
"i'll never..."
"you'll never..."
"work in dis..."
"bizness..."
"bidness..."
"again!!"

My Guitar.
my guitar has six strings,
it gets lonely when nobody sings,
musical and magical,
my pick makes my guitar sound so magical,
and no matter were i go shes right there,
when i play my guitar people always stare,
we sound so good together,
i hope my guitar will stay with me forever,
my guitar has six strings.
but it gets lonely when no one sings,
my guitar is never out of tune,
it doesnt matter who i play it too,
wether you're happy, mad or feeling blue,
just remember my guitar will help you get thru.

I had different bands. I played with the Acoustic Warriors for the most part, without girl singers. It was the same kind of sound, acoustic guitar, bass, with violin and sometimes accordion, and the guys would sing, that kind of thing.
Concert on the Romanian seaside
Vocal fold vibration,
Simple harmonic motion,
Nonlinear interaction of sound waves,
Empathizing the rhythm
Of the naked music
And the embracing voice,
Words and thoughts
Coming alive and vivid
At the sound touch,
Having its own sense of charm,
Changing depths of enlightened awareness,
Discovering the thrill
Of seeing new interior structures,
Protecting its innate purity
For the song in itself,
For those souls,
Who are engulfed in desire
And for his own vision,
His voice shimmering wings luminously,
Pleasurably exalting,
Those realms of the spirit just indelible,
Those souls becoming vivified
And exhilarated,
His songs
Swirling space sounds,
Carrying their meaning into universe,
The saxophone sounds cascading
Into the synth melodies,
Billowing into the sea waves,
Needing a dimension on its own,
Silent spectators
Immortalizing the split seconds
With strong emotions,
Applause breaking the silence,
Touching sights,
Touching voices,
Touching emotions,
Between ebb and flow,
The singer Michael Bolton
Suddenly — a dreamer
For an invisible woman
,
Dancing in glittering moonlight
With no other sound but
The hesitant sibilant sea,
Ascension silhouetted
against
The shivering waves
—ghosts,
His songs
haunting the moonlight,
Creating twinkling feelings,
Sky-searching the light.

Guitar Heaven
Written by: neil diamond
Hey little boy
Just sitting on your back porch
Picking on your guitar
Wishing you were far away
Well, I can tell
Youve had a little bit fo a dream
I see it in your eyes
I can hear it in the songs you play
And hey little boy
Just play it like you feel it
Make it so real
Its almost to real to take
Just swing it like a player
Make it like a prayer
Its one from the heart
Give it all of the hear it can take
And when you play what you wanna play
Just reach down to the soul
You keep on growing and youll know some day
That sound is gonna turn into gold
Boy, youre taking me there
To guitar heaven
And without saying a word
You lay it all on the line
And make me leave my cares
In guitar heaven
Just go and play your song
I could stay all night
Play it son
(guitar solo)
You know, youre taking me there
To guitar heaven
You make me feel every sound
You make it shine like a light
Im gonna lose my cares
In guitar heaven
You go and play that song
Im gonna stay a while
Go and play that song, boy
Im gonna stay a while
The way you play that song
Makes me wanna smile

I don't understand why some people will only accept a guitar if it has an instantly recognizable guitar sound. Finding ways to use the same guitar people have been using for 50 years to make sounds that no one has heard before is truly what gets me off.

My uncle gave me a trumpet, but I loved the Louis Armstrong sound and the Harry James sound and I played by ear and I played always soulful or very direct from the gut.
Bitter Sweet
(dedicated to the unknown singer)
Your voice becomes the sound
A bitter sweet one,
The sound vibrates in self
Bitter sweetly,
Your guitar is tearing that sound
And your fingers seem to say
A story of their rescue
A bitter sweet one,
Being known only by them.
Sometimes,
Your voice beats the vibration of the guitar
And the guitar grasps
The vibration of the voice
To convert it into tears,
Giving birth to the melody.
A bitter sweet one.
The song disappears
Somewhere
Toward the Saturn.
The souls entwine.
From the stellar symphony
Something detaches and fall off
Deeply inside of us.
Your voice becomes a signal
Of life and death.
The sound becomes the motion
And vice versa.
I listen to the inaudible symphony of your fingers,
In touch.
Something is born in us irreversibly
And lasts until the end of the time.

I Can Play (Lyrics) :
He didn't give himself up to fear.
And his voice had a life of its own.
He didn't give himself up for broke.
Just a man who played his guitar.
He said 'I can play the guitar', 'I can play it clear'.
'I can play the guitar'.'I can play'.
'I can play the songs that you want to hear'.
'I can play the guitar'.'I can play'.
'I can play the guitar'.'I can play it clear'.
'I can play the guitar'.'I can play'.
'I can play the songs that you want to hear'.
'I can play the guitar'.'I can play'.
He didn't give himself up to drinking beer.
His voice still had a life of its own.
And he didn't give himself up for smoke.
Just a man who played his guitar.
He said 'I can play the guitar'.'I can play it clear'.
He didn't give himself up to curcumstance.
Always tried to make it alone.
He didn't give himself up to telling lies.
His honesty was already shown.
Always kept himself up to par.
Just a man who played his guitar.
He said 'I can play the guitar'.'I can play it clear'.
'I can play the guitar'.'I can play'...

The Sound Of Lost Love
*Heart sound*
An Indian’s drum
Thunder in the sky
The bass in a song
*Heart sound*
The sound of love
*Heart sound*
*Heart sound*
Gunshots through the air
Bumps on the road
Sticks of dynamite
*Heart sound*
The sound of love
*Heart sound*
*Slow heart sound*
Glass breaking
The ripping of paper
Nails on a chalkboard
*Slow heart sound*
The sound of lost love
*Slow heart sound*

Le Deux Machina
Le Deux Machina is a nearly 6 minute piano song by Mike Garson, a few seconds of it was used in Glass + The Ghost Children. A full synth version of this can be found on Machina II. And a full piano version can be found on a bootleg called Friends and Enemies of Modern Music (not to be confused with Machina II)

The Guitarist
Strum the strings
From room to room
The sound will ring
Sealed in its case
Taking up space
I use a pick to play
The guitar, everyday
Playing a chord
Only when I'm bored
Strum the strings
From room to room
The sound will ring
Its base is wood
Its strings are not
When you cannot play
There is nothing to flaunt
Before you play
Tune the sound
Strum on and on
Until a rhythm is found
Strum the strings
From room to room
The sound will ring
I
I have nothing to say
No light to use
No music to play
I'm idle
For I have
No guitar to play

I think when I began, I played distortion more than the guitar. The results of my strumming. Now I play the twang of the string, which is a lot closer to the source of the sound making.
