History
Yesterday is History.
History brings us to this present moment
but it doesn't shape who we are at this present moment.
We can't let our History control us
and who we wish to be.
Our future is our choice,
Not History's.

Pleh!
We are all emotionally primitive
and yet, we are left the superior species?
History shows our insecurity and lack of maturity;
we kill each other for fun!
The energy and creativity that spawns self-destruction
confuses those of us that just want to live
Our masters use us as canvasses for horrid works
using the power of deception as their brush
We are but blood-red paint that decorate the halls of history
while they are the artist presenting it to the gallery of the future

Sonnet – Amidst
Amidst pitch -black darkness, God shows a light;
Amidst a Forest thick, He shows a way;
Amidst black clouds, He brings a moonlit night;
Amidst sorrows, God gives a happy day.
Amidst the desert, Oasis God shows;
Amidst the stormy Sea, He brings calm;
Amidst much strife, He opens newer doors;
Amidst much hopelessness, a helping palm.
Amidst tempest, God shows a bright light-house;
Amidst the glaciers, much sought-after peak;
Amidst our solitude, He gives a spouse;
Amidst the ravines deep, the lost lamb meek.
Amidst the chaos, God ushers new hope,
Amidst the gloom, He gives the church a Pope.

What the Future Holds
What does the future hold within me?
Wish I was God for one moment so I didn’t have a blind eye so I could see
Some wish they wasn’t human some wish they couldn’t bleed
All I wish is what the future holds for me
Am I ahead of my time?
Am I ahead of my prime?
Am I the definition of what hate brings inside?
Wish I could press rewind
Feels like I’m stuck in the fight
Because the future isn’t looking so bright
And the hate is building and brewing so it’s dimming my light
Wish life didn’t come in a blur so I had control of my sight
In the end all I can do is give the world all of me
I only have perceptions and visions of what the eye can see
Just want to know the truth and what the future brings within me

You Were So Good At Subtleties
you were so good at subtleties
despite how you pretended
to be perplexed by metaphor,
or why our story ended.
a bit of future history?
you always meant much more to me!
yet i would rather suffer this,
than not have known your touch.
you were so good at alibis,
at summonsing defenses,
at masks and feigned self-sacrifice
and other such pretenses.
and love that was a mystery
to you, was more than bliss to me.
while you, so frugal with each kiss
were robbed of such as this.
you were so good at history,
at figuring dimensions;
for future castles, i suppose.
did i forget to mention,
that you and i have history?
no matter how we choose to see it,
mansions have been built for less.
my lover, weren't you up to this?

Three Ghosts Of Christmas
There are three ghosts of Christmas,
which visit us each year.
One from the past,
one from the present
and one from the future.
They show us what our life was,
how it is now and how
if we do not change it will be.
The past
shows us our roots
of how we have become.
The present
shows us how we are,
a mirror image of ourselves,
that not so rosy image
we do not want to see.
The future
shows how we will eventually become,
wizen and unloved
by nearly everyone
with the exception of ourselves.
It gives us this glimpse
so that we can change it
if we really want to.
That decision is ours
and if we do
next year when
the three ghosts of Christmas come to call
the piper maybe playing
a different kind of tune.

If Jesus Christ was who He claimed to be, and He did die on a cross at a point of time in history, then, for all history past and all history future it is relevant because that is the very focal point for forgiveness and redemption.

I Am Living Now In The Future
I am living now in the future
And I Don't know
What will the future brings for me
I keep wondering about that
Every single day
And sometimes I think about my future

The Future Of The Past
New times are now old ones,
Old ones are now history,
History becomes ancient,
Ancient becomes unknown,
Unknown shifts though time,
Shaping and molding in every which way,
Unknown times become myths,
Myths become religions,
False becomes truth,
Truths move to morals,
Morals are now what we live by,
Now has just become then,
The past has once been the future,
The future will soon become the past,
You were once born in the future of the past,
But the past has caught up,
And taken you with it.
Like a deadly arrow the past pierces life,
The future itself becomes victim to its strike.
As if to be Bonnie and Clyde,
Hand in hand the two opposites collide,
Together bringing everything to their long awaited fate.
Doing what they do best toward their ever most passions,
The future and the past are, and were, the two deadliest assassins,
Today,
Tomorrow,
And yesterday...

The History of Now
The recording of culture is history;
but our culture is more than that.
It's the world of human action,
and the myths we make of the fact.
The recording of history is culture,
but our history is more than that.
It informs a hidden agenda.
Unconscious of motive we act.
It's the history of now, the history of now.
It's only the present that exists as endowed.
It's the history of now. The moment - KAPOW!
That knocks you right over and muddies your brow.
Through the prism of language, we know what we know.
We carry our baggage and stories of woe.
Victor and vanquished pride cannot budge,
the dead weight of hatred and ancestral grudge.
We fight our good fights with our hand on our heart;
the music is swelling as loved ones depart.
As sheep to the slaughter, the script cannot chart,
a course more ignoble: the propagandist's art.
The recording of history is culture,
but our culture is more than that.
More than the great individuals,
the scholars so love in their tracts.
The recording of culture is history;
but our history is more than that.
Not simple dates or statistics,
the full horror and gore still attracts.
It's the history of now, the history of now.
A strange contradiction that makes sense somehow.
It's the history of now, a mystery and shroud.
The past and the future: best fiction allowed.

The History Of Tomorrow
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of light
By dumping us in the dark with pits everywhere
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of food
By asking us to chop several fire-woods to heat up a pot full of stones
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of job creation
By making us slaves on our own soil
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of education
By dumping us in dilapidated buildings without teachers
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of accountability
By looting our treasury and asking us for yet another term in office
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of safety
By leaving pot holes large enough to swallow countless accident victims on our roads
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our bows and arrows
Would secure our future
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of a country, a country with countless heroes
It’s the history of a country, a country with countless robbers
Robbers with fame
Robbers without shame
Robbers that we would roast with flame

Black History Month
In January...
There they are making history.
In February...
There they are making history.
In March...
There they are making history.
In April...
There they are making history.
In May...
There they are making history.
In June...
There they are making history.
In July...
There they are making history.
In August...
There they are making history.
In September...
There they are making history.
In October...
There they are making history.
In November...
There they are making history.
In December...
There they are making history.
But...
It's nice to know
The shortest month of the year
Was chosen to celebrate
The great deeds of African-Americans!
However...
It is those LEAP YEARS,
That really have the blacks jumping for joy!

History why do we care
History
a famous person dies
History
a war rages
History
a new invention
History
a building opens
History
what happens if something happens to me
is that history?
no....
So why do we care.....

Time (part 3) .
time brings out the sun and the rain,
time brings joy and pain,
time turns men from boys,
time gives you a choice,
time is beatiful,
time is sad at a funeral,
time brings out the best of me,
time brings you out of missery,
time is a mistery,
time creates history,
time is something you cant rewind,
time is something you can't search or find,
time could make you lose or win,
time makes all of us sin,
time could be the enemy or the friend,
time has a beggining but no end.

Blackstars of beautiful twilight
Winding all the black thoughts of the golden children upon the lost divinity
Enriching the black history of warm words and the soulful sounds of silent dignity
Lining all the black rimes to the history walls painted by the cold face of humanity
Igniting the black sparks of the twisted science of reality upon these cold swords of invalidity
Looking towards the bright future of the black poetry, we proudly declare the shine of cold thought mortality
Enhancing the forever shine of all Blackstrars, brings about my finding of true serenity
Blackstrars of beautiful twilight shine upon my forever...spark the joy and pride upon my black mind
Blackstrars of beautiful twilight shine upon the land of my black history and dreams, be the vision and true joy of my black kind.

Deal Goin Down
When the deal goin down and you gonna take your chance
Theres always just a mystery that locks you in a trance
No matter what the future brings youre booked, and lawd youre bound
Be steppin softly when you know the deal is goin down
When the deal go down and the noose is bein tied
Aint no gettin round it, fade back and let it lie
No matter what the future brings youre booked, and lawd youre bound
Be steppin softly when you know the deal is goin down
No matter what the future brings youre booked, and lawd youre bound
Be steppin softly when you know
No matter what the future brings youre booked, and lawd youre bound
Be steppin softly when you know the deal is goin down
Goin down
Down, down

Circle The Drain
I've got myself deep this time
Tons of frustration builds in mine
And it shows me nothing
It shows me nothing at all
Circle the drain
Backward solace right from your side
And you sit and criticize
Shows me nothing
It shows me nothing at all
Circle the drain
I don't need it...I don't
It shows me nothing
It shows me nothing at all
Circle the drain
I don't need it...I don't

The silence speaks...
Sometimes, when you are alone,
In the dark cloudy night,
Only the lightening shows you the life,
A numb silence surrounds you.
You may feel the words from the air,
You would never think of the happening,
But you know what, the silence speaks,
The silence tells us our future,
The time we can't imagine, the uncertainty,
The silence knows all of those,
There is no explanation of that,
You may call it a prejudice or blind belief,
However you define it, it is the fact,
Silence speaks us, warns us, shows us.
It is a kind of opaque mirror,
Behind its, all the future are hidden,
But we only can see the light through it,
We just need to belief inside ourselves,
Then only then we can hear, we can feel,
The silence speaks to us...
