I've always thought of fat as just a descriptive word.

One Word That Best Defines Life
“Life” is a word not easily defined
It can be described in so many ways
Can be described as easy, just as well as a grind
Described as a whole, or a phase
Describing the word “life” is almost an impossibility
At least that’s the way that I feel
But if I had to choose the word…. I best thought it to be
The best descriptive word for “life” is “surreal”

The great art of films does not consist of descriptive movement of face and body but in the movements of thought and soul transmitted in a kind of intense isolation.

Make Every Breath Count!
emancipate...
by every action,
every word, every thought.
reconcilliate...
by every action,
every word, every thought.
facilitate...
by every action,
every word, every thought.
resuscitate...
by every action,
every word, every thought.
make every breath count!

The Word That Wouldn’t Fit (Fun Poem 25)
A writer’s life is full of woe,
you find a word you like,
then you write something,
and try to fit that word in,
but when you look again.
That word you thought of
it just won’t fit in,
no matter how hard you try it,
that word just will not go.
In a fit of frustration,
you stick it here and there.
Just like jigsaw puzzle
where the pieces will not fit,
so this word will not go anywhere.
In the end you say, “OH heck! ”
Then you put the word
to the back of your mind.
Maybe another day
in another poem,
that word just might fit.
Having said all that,
I’m not betting on it.

Today... 'The Word
Word of love and the Word made flesh
Word incarnate forever blessed
Word of life and the Word of light
Word of power and Word of might.
Word that was spoken, Word of the Lord
Word of the Law and the Word of God
Word of peace and Word eternal
Word of truth and last Word of all.
Word of wisdom and the Word of healing
Word from heaven, a Word so appealing
Word fulfilling the Word of prophecy
Word of the Spirit and Word of destiny.
Word of exhortation and Word of grace
Word of encouragement and Word of faith
Word of promise and a Word of insight
Word from the beginning and Word of delight.
Word of knowledge and a Word of boldness
Word of peace and the Word of righteousness
Word of the covenant and Word of love
Word of the Father from heaven above.
(see also the additional information in the Poet's notes box)
The Word
Find the word, understand the word,
Depend on the word;
The word is heaven and space, the word the earth,
The word the universe.
The word is in our ears, the word is on our tongues,
The word the idol.
The word is the holy book, the word is harmony,
The word is music.
The word is magic, the word the Guru.
The word is the body, the word is the spirit, the word is being,
The word Not-being.
The word is man, the word is woman,
The Worshipped Great.
The word is the seen and unseen, the word is the existent
And the non-existent.
Know the word, says Kabir,
The word is All-powerful.
Me, Myself & I
I need you!
That was the last word I said to you.
But do I?
'No matter what happens,
I'll always be with you! '
That was the last word you said to me.
But were you really there?
What I can't believe is that I believed every word you said.
I can't believe that I made myself believe
what we had will last.
How could you have said you loved me
when you didn't?
I thought you were my knight and shiny armour
I thought I was your cinderella.
I thought you were my charming prince.
How could you have left without a trace?
`leaving me with the hope to see your face.
It's been a while, time has passed.
I've moved on.
You hurt me bad,
but I'm a survivor.
I'll do just fine without you.
It hurts so much,
but I've learned a lot.
I have come to realize that I don't need you anymore.
I know I'll find the one for me
I know I can confide in me till then
I know I won't let myself down.
All I've got for now is...
Me, Myself & I.

Senses of Poet
Poet is like perfumer
Who distillates his own feeling into fragrant word
Is like farmer
Who grows his seed of thought into beautiful word
Is like mechanic
Who assembles part of idea into harmony word
Is like tailor
Who stitches thread of border into seamless word
Is like patisserie
Who mixes powder of emotion into delicious word

Perhaps I Can Change
Have I overly rhapsodized lately
On Mother Nature’s displays?
I’ve become rather forgetful
With the passing of so many days
Have I bored you lately
With labored, descriptive words
Droned on incessantly
of iridescent hummingbirds?
Of Spring fields of sunflowers
Of the morn’s nascent glow
Of the dragonfly’s rustle
Of the stream’s tinkling flow?
I do ramble on too much
But I love description so
So perhaps I’ll not describe so much
Tho’ tis the only way I know
So you’ll hear much less of stardust…
Less of butterflies and angel wings
Of icy glaze…of snowy crust
Or the way the Zephyr sings
At least I’ll try, to keep it dry
If I fail… I’ll try again
Though God knows…descriptive prose
Has always been my friend
Perhaps I’ll also try to address
Another problem of mine
And that’s my annoying addiction
To my profuse, use of rhyme
There’s another frequent fault I foolishly fall for
That’s the equivalent of mental masturbation
And that’s my inappropriate, incomprehensible,
Overly insane….unabashed, use of alliteration

Cycle of Word
When one word drown, one word will raise
When one word vanished, one word will exist
When one word gone, one word will come
When one word finished, one word will show
When one word flies, nothing can take it back
When you talk, I wait like exiting child
The next word my ears will hear
But you keep silent, wandering in your own dream

Who Are You I Dream Of?
I dream of you again.
Surprises with such a twist.
When push comes to shove.
Where do you stand?
On the receiving end.
It all blends in.
Like the hollow existence it is.
Yet I feel the love from all directions.
Its an an infection, just give me another injection.
I rather feel nothing then a confusing pain without a face or name.
Its the remembrance of the alternate plane.
Then why is it so hard to explain.
My mind fumbles and bubbles over the right word.
Its just not yet there.
A descriptive verse hovers in the air.
Not real but not fake.
Impossibilities are at stake.
All because I dream of you.

Artists of Descriptive Depictions
Picking words with syllables heard,
To sound a beat or create a mental feast.
Artists of descriptive depictions...
Choosing from within and behind,
In minds with canvassed eyes they select.
And do their best when under some kind of duress,
It seems.
To perfect,
What is envisioned with more meaning!
Like a daydream scene internally screened,
To project upon our vision.
Is a snowflake etched,
And falling to a catching ground
As fetching?
Or as profound...
As the galloping hoofs of horses,
Pulling sleighs of joyful smiles around?
When holidays are welcomed...
Dripping with seasoned sights and sounds!
Orange with yellow brightening with hints of brown,
Introducing colors of Fall on trees standing tall.
Winter mint green,
And red adorning silver streams
Of Christmas dreams...
Soon in hearts will be found!
Decorating our imaginations.
Gifted wrapped to avoid the slightest frown.
Picking words with syllables heard,
To sound a beat or create a mental feast.
Artists of descriptive depictions...
Release an increased merriment to treat.
And our minds receive them,
To dance upon memories reminisced!
In anticipation...
Impatiently waiting,
For descriptive depictions...
To come alive before our eyes
Beholding the reality of their visits!
Capturing wonder and surprise.
Dedicated:
Writers. Poets especially.
There are quite a few 'Artists of Descriptive Depictions'
that come to mind. A few like Duncan Wyllie, Ms Theo Onken
Ms Marci Made, Herbert Nehrlich...these are just a few! So
please forgive me 'IF' I did not mention you by name.
Blame that on my head and not my heart!
You all are so wonderfully inspiring with your 'gifts'!
'I thank you'...Lawrence

The Word
You may choose your word like a connoisseur,
And polish it up with art,
But the word that sways, and stirs, and stays,
Is the word that comes from the heart.

Friends
What is a friend
Could it be that it's just a word
Or something in your life that you've heard
Or just another one of those big fat lies
Because many nights this word has made me cry
So hard my stomach hurts deep down inside
[chorus]
uh oh there goes that word again
How do we let it end
I thought you were my friend
I can't believe my very eyes
Right to my face you lied
Cause you're my so-called friend
How could you call yourself a friend
Oh oh there goes that word again
That brings people together and tears them apart
It's always said by those who claim they love you
When all the while they want to fill your shoes
And never calling you up with no good news
They're always happy when your through
They never want the best for you
They're always trying to fill your shoes
(I don't understand this kind of friend)
[chorus]
uh oh there goes that word again
How do we let it end
I thought you were my friend
I can't believe my very eyes
Right to my face you lied
Cause you're my so-called friend
Opportunity's knocking here comes my friend
uh oh there goes that word again
(they only come around when they need something y'all)
They call you everyday 'til they reel you in
And they want to hang out so you can spend on them
(I don't understand, I don't understand this kind of friend)
[chorus]
uh oh there goes that word again
How do we let it end
I thought you were my friend
I can't believe my very eyes
Right to my face you lied
Cause you're my so-called friend
[repeat chorus til fade]

This word...
This word is life,
this word is love,
this word is peace and this word makes you live it needs no complications.
So this is a word.
A word thats happines that word that lifts you up
its a word thats against all bad its a word that needs no piracy.
Its forgiving after you corrupted the word
this word is easy to call easy to spell easy to use easy to write even a dumbest pesom will spell it. Its useful
its artistic and intelligent

this word is powerful
make use of it
for it never turns its back on its word...
