I'm not sure Americans are hesitant to do this again - to fight another war, because it looked to them like a courageous and terrific endeavor.

Actors I admire? Ed Harris, or course, I think he's terrific; because I know he always had to fight being what he looked like a lot, but I think he's a terrific actor.

Feel Terrific
You keep me lifted.
And I admit.
I feel terrific...
When I'm given this lift.
You keep me lifted,
And I admit...
I feel terrific,
When I'm given this lift!
No alcohol do I need to get this boost.
Anything that aggravates I just let loose.
I feel like sitting on the roof,
To do exactly what I choose.
When that mood in me rules!
And I want to get lifted.
I admit.
I feel terrific...
When I'm given this lift.
I do,
Just feel terrific.
And you...
Can feel terrific.
Just choose...
To be terrific.
And be lifted with a boost.
Be specific.
When you get your lift.
Feel terrific.
And just handle it!
I do,
Just feel terrific.
And you...
Can feel terrific.
Just choose...
To be terrific.
And,
Be...
Llifted with a boost.
I do,
Just feel terrific.
And you...
Can feel terrific.
Just choose...
To be terrific.
And be lifted with a boost.
You keep me lifted.
And I admit.
I feel terrific...
When I'm given this lift.
You keep me lifted,
And I admit...
I feel terrific,

I do,
Just feel terrific.
And you...

Stories of.....
Courageous and fearful
are two similar things
though one has the spirit
to see what “action” brings.
Both of them are scared
there’s no denying that,
its’s just that one is controlled
and one beats it right back
Now this one may be killed,
maimed, or disabled
Though who is the “hero”
when you’re reading the fable?
It’s the hero who’s brave,
while the coward stay back.
It’s our hero who prevails
and often attacks
these monsters of evil,
these beings of harm.
And it’s often the coward
who raises alarm,
to summon the heroes
to come in good speed
While the hero prevails,
courageous is he!
And he will return
to good women, good will,
ro glory and riches............
unless he gets killed.
The decision is yours,
not that of the writer.
Do you run from this witch
or turn around to fight her?
Do you return to “glory”
and the respect of many
or were you hiding from courage
and never received any?
The story is yours,
you can write your own book.
You can fashion your hero
by the chances he took.
Or you can hold back
and stay well and alive.
While they looked for trouble,
you looked to hide.
But in all fairness,
many stories are told
of cowards who hid,
and grew rich and grew old.
And those cowards died
a nice, peaceful death,
dying in their beds
far from dragon’s breath.
So after writing this,
to be a fearing or courageous guy
ultimately lies in
how you’re looking to die. .

My servant, now your time has come
You have have a job to do
I have a people to be led
And a willing heart in you
So I give you strength and courage
And I'll hide you in my hand
For Joshua, you gotta live for your call
Take my people to their land
Chorus:
So be strong and courageous
So be strong and courageous
You know you gotta be strong and courageous
So be strong and courageous
Never should you feel my call
Just listen and obey
Discouragement need never fall
Stand on the words I say
You know I led your fathers here
And you know I'll lead you too
Inscribe my law into your soul
And nothing will touch you

It seems that American patriotism measures itself against an outcast group. The right Americans are the right Americans because they're not like the wrong Americans, who are not really Americans.

A Double
Everyone has a double
at least that is what they say.
I am beginning to believe it
after what happened yesterday.
My wife and I went shopping
and to the checkout, we went.
Then I stopped and felt hesitant,
the cashier, a young girl looked familiar,
but it couldn’t be,
for who she looked like lived thousands of miles away.
Everything about her
from the style of her hair
and the glasses she wore,
even the way she smiled
looked the spitting image of a friend I speak to on the internet.
The resemblance was uncanny
and I almost called her by friends name.
She made me take a second glance
to make sure.
I know it wasn’t my friend who lives in America,
she was younger than she,
but she certainly looked like her.
When they say now everyone has a double,
here is one now that believes.

Fight The Feeling
Ive looked down the saddest city lane
Ive looked at the people with faces of pain
I cant forget it
I cant forget it
I looked int your eyes
You think it just a game
Them faces keep on looking
But its all in vain
I cant forget it
I cant forget it
Fight the feeling
Show me your strength
Fight the feeling
Youve got to fight to the end
You keep telling me my mind is too cruel
But I cant help it if I live by these rules
Youll never change them
Youll never change them
You took me for a fool
And read my thoughts
You never realised that I couldnt be bought
I cant forget it
You will regret it
Fight the feeling
Show me your strength
Fight the feeling
Youve got to fight to the end
You can only push me so far
Before I cant take no more
Ive made the vow
Youve lost me now
Dont push me so far
Fight the feeling
Show me your strength
Fight the feeling
Youve got to fight to the end

Gertrude Stein is interviewed on American poetry
and there was the knocking on the door
that we were expecting
and it was the man
that we were expecting
with the questions we were expecting
to which answers were expected
by those who expect answers
as if life were like that
which for writers it is not
yes, tea was drunk
and after tea the tape recorder set up
so that what I said
I would continue to say
somewhere else
even when I changed my mind
here and nowhere else
and he said Ms Stein
what do you think of American poetry
and we said well it's American
and it's poetry
that's as it should be
and really that's all there is to say
and the man looked disappointed
so we asked him did he read poetry
and he said poetry no I dont read poetry
but my editor does
so I said it's really about Americans
living their lives
that's what American poetry is really about
because Americans move around
and so their words move around and
words in English have lost their intensity
but American words are always on the move
and they are more intense
yes, Americans living among Americans
and talking to their neighbours
if it's not about that
it's not really American poetry at all is it
if it's not about that
then why bother writing poetry
and the man was asking about a rose
being a rose being a rose and we said
for a hundred years the rose
has not been red in poetry
but now for the first time in a hundred years
the rose is red again
and the man looked at his watch
and said thank you Ms Stein
and was switching off his tape recorder
and a month later that
was what we said
in a magazine much read
by Americans who mostly
are not poets no very few but we said it
we know that this is so
because we read it there
and we think that really
that was all there was to say
because that was all we think
is really important
about American Poetry
that the words move like Americans move
and that is exciting for a writer
and that is the important thing about
American Poetry

You'd Be Terrific In a Silent Movie
If I could rate you,
I'd be elated.
You'd be terrific,
In a silent movie.
Your mood is too dramatic.
And it comes across irratic.
With the touches of a cat,
That scratches right back.
Or a rat that is cornered,
And prepared to attack.
oooOOOoooOOO...
If I could rate you,
I'd be elated.
You'd be terrific,
In a silent movie.
Your mood is too dramatic.
And it should be cinematic.
With a few moods overused...
Too crude in attitude.
oooOOOoooOOO...
In that moody brood you do,
Would behoove you to be cool.
oooOOOoooOOO
oooOOOoooOOO...
If I could rate you,
I'd be elated.
You'd be terrific,
In a silent movie.
With lights turned up,
But sound hushed of your blues!
You'd be terrific In a silent movie.
You'd be terrific if you were caged in a coop.

Environmentalists are a socialist group of individuals that are the tool of the Democrat Party. I'm proud to say that they are my enemy. They are not Americans, never have been Americans, never will be Americans.
I think that they had afforded me many opportunities to do good work there, and I think I did. It was a wonderful four years. I really worked with some great people, terrific producers, terrific editors.

Fight
Sometimes there's nothing to feel
Sometimes there's nothing to hold
Sometimes there's no time to run away
Sometimes you just feel so old
The times it hurts when you cry
The times it hurts just to breathe
And then it all seems like there's no-one left
And all you want is to sleep
Fight fight fight
Just push it away
Fight fight fight
Just push until it breaks
Fight fight fight
Don't cry at the pain
Fight fight fight
Or watch yourself burn again
Fight fight fight
Don't howl like a dog
Fight fight
Just fill up the sky
Fight fight fight
Fight til you drop
Fight fight fight
And never never
Never stop
Fight fight fight
Fight fight fight
So when the hurting starts
And when the nightmares begin
Remember you can fill up the sky
You don't have to give in
You don't have to give in
Never give in
Never give in
Never give in

Visions of Terrorists Dance in My Head
We are Americans went nuke in 41
We are Americans we have the biggest gun
We now fight a war of attrition
We underestimate all our competition
We fight to maintain our hegemonious crime
We really don't care if we get there in time
We build a new weapon that kills before threat
We send in a soldier who isn't dead yet
We send in a soldier who comes back to life
We send home an alien to impregnate his wife
Visions of Terrorists soon walking our streets
Visions of Terrorists soon buying our meats
Visions of Terrorists dance in my head
Clinton and Rushdie will leave us for dead
Visions of Terrorists torture my brain
America, the collective, is going insane
