By my sweetheart
Sweetheart, be my sweetheart
When birds are on the wing,
When bee and bud and babbling flood
Bespeak the birth of spring,
Come, sweetheart, be my sweetheart
And wear this posy-ring!
Sweetheart, be my sweetheart
In the mellow golden glow
Of earth aflush with the gracious blush
Which the ripening fields foreshow;
Dear sweetheart, be my sweetheart,
As into the noon we go!
Sweetheart, be my sweetheart
When falls the bounteous year,
When fruit and wine of tree and vine
Give us their harvest cheer;
Oh, sweetheart, be my sweetheart,
For winter it draweth near.
Sweetheart, be my sweetheart
When the year is white and old,
When the fire of youth is spent, forsooth,
And the hand of age is cold;
Yet, sweetheart, be my sweetheart
Till the year of our love be told!

Sweetheart
If I was to stand in a general election
Would you tell me about your close inspection
And how I never stood for detection
Or would you take another man?
If I told you I had the solution to starvation
All the nations would be their own salvation
And those that lead us lead us not into temptation
Or they pick another man?
Sweetheart
Its affecting me
Sweetheart
Its so effective
Sweetheart
Do you detect in me
A sacred sweetheart
If I told you about my plan would you believe me?
This is my body, my blood, would you receive me?
Or would you be the first to deceive me
And take another man
If I told you that Im not the man to worry
Would you believe me when I said I was really sorry?
Or would you rush off in a hurry to take another man?
Sweetheart
Disconnect from me
Sweetheart
You have got no respect for me
Sweetheart
Its affecting me
My sacred sweetheart
And when youre troubled and when youre ill
You know Ill help, I always will
And when youre troubled and really down
You know Ill always be around
And when youre troubled and really broke
There is hope, theres hope, theres hope
Sweetheart
Its affecting me
Sweetheart
Youve got no respect for me
Sweetheart
Its so effective
My sacred sweetheart

A Poetry Sweetheart named T
There is a young lady
who calls everyone sweetheart,
who gives the impression
she is Wonder Woman,
in a way she is.
A wonderful poet
who gives us a glimpse
deep into her life.
Reading her poems
is like peeking into her diary.
She can be coy, candid,
and great friend as well.
She can be fun to be with
I know that so well
for I met her at Stratford.
She pleaded with me
to go along.
I’m glad I did
for a great time
was had by all.
Now she is in love
and all of us know
it’s a match made in heaven.
He is her soul mate,
her lover
and soon she’ll be his wife.
Love for our poetry sweetheart
has never been so grand
and I’m hoping
all the best for them.
I’ll write a special poem
nearer the time.
In the meantime,
this poem goes to the poet
who loves to call everyone sweetheart,
and who is everyone’s sweetheart.
Our one and only
Tara McHale.
To end this
I would like to say.
T this for you
from your friend always

The Earthly Bias....
you are
this man torn between
sky and sea
you belong to the earth
take note
pray
that the sky shall not blind you
neither the
sea to drown you
take the middle
compromise, compromise,
compromise
always have that
compromise
the earth is still the most
beautiful place
to live
give it the bias
that for the meantime
it deserves

Where Peace Lies!
Life is hotch-potch,
In this cosmos,
If you don't think,
Your wife -
As boss.
Before marriage
She is your's,
After marriage
You are her's,
Taking over all things,
Mar's she-
All bars.
When she begets
A kid,
Wane love
That you need,
Matters not
Good-bye you bid,
As she has got
A kid.
As she rules you,
She rules the globe,
Though she fails to do,
She never loose hope.
She is like reeds,
As hope she breeds,
Bends down
With the stream,
Breaks not
In the storm.
Joy, grief there lies,
Compromise makes ties,
No compromise!
Love dies.
If there is compromise,
Love there does rise.

Honey in demand
Honey is sweet, taken in teaspoonful.
Milk is taken in cups.
Sweetheart is sweet, distantly tasted.
Wife is milk taken in lump and often.
Honey and sweetheart attract man.

The 'morality of compromise' sounds contradictory. Compromise is usually a sign of weakness, or an admission of defeat. Strong men don't compromise, it is said, and principles should never be compromised.

Almost
My sweetheart has beneficent arms
So full of tenderness and fire,
They almost cheat her other charms
The way they rouse and still desire.
My sweetheart has the kindest breast,
Two heavens with each a single star;
They give me everything but rest,
So strange these rosy pillows are.
My sweetheart has the hungriest lips
They seek and press unsparingly;
They probe until she almost slips
Among her kisses into me.
My sweetheart’s body is a cry,
A poignant and resistless call;
It almost makes me wonder why
She hasn’t any mind at all.

May Song II
BETWEEN wheatfield and corn,
Between hedgerow and thorn,
Between pasture and tree,
Where's my sweetheart
Tell it me!
Sweetheart caught I
Not at home;
She's then, thought I.
Gone to roam.
Fair and loving
Blooms sweet May;
Sweetheart's roving,
Free and gay.
By the rock near the wave,
Where her first kiss she gave,
On the greensward, to me,--
Something I see!
Is it she?

Grand Illusion
I saw you in a dream, it hit me like a bright light
Flashing on a screen, visions of my whole life.
I used to chase the moment of desire
Back to when my young heart burned like a fire.
It was just a, nothing but a grand illusion.
Heart was quicker than the eye.
Nothing but a grand illusion,
Legend in my own mind.
I held you in my arms till the other side of midnight.
Kept you in my mind, you got me through some long nights.
Standing on the threshold of desire,
Caught between the madness and the fire.
Chorus
It was all a grand illusion.
Hand was quicker than the eye.
Nothing but a grand illusion,
Legends in our own minds.
I used to chase the moments of desire
Back to when my young heart burned like a fire.
It was just a, nothing but a, it was all a grand illusion.
Nothing but a grand illusion.
It was all a grand illusion,
Legend in my own mind.
It was just a grand illusion.
Nothing but a grand illusion.
It was just a grand illusion,
Legend in our own mind.

Religion And Magic
Who are these fellows?
Religion - Magic
Are they siblings who seem remarkably similar?
Are they identical twins - fantastically alike in all things?
Are they but two sides of the same coin - the coin of illusion?
Which came first - religion or magic?
The answer remains shrouded in the dim mists
Of our early steps on the stage of our existence
Magic - creator of illusion masked as reality
Religion - creator of illusion from reality
Both create illusion - purvey the same mask
Magic and religion present illusion as truth
This is my view
Another may be for you
Yet know this - If you believe illusion be truth or truth illusion
The result is the same.

Really Really
You have the power
take on rule and show
what you want
what you really really want
is it me
or is it an illusion?
You have the game
take on role and play
what you desire
what you really really desire
am I there
or am I just an illusion?
You have the frame
take on reel and dream
what you imagine
what you really really imagine
am I there
or am I just an illusion?
You have the goal
take on real and action
what you hunt
what you really really hunt
is it me
or is it an illusion?

Illusion
How do I begin and where do I end
who will be the one whom I can depend.
I fool myself, an illusion I see
Thinking that he'll be there for me.
But when at night I lay in bed
I reach out for him and nothing I get...
It's only an illusion that comes my way
Will I be ever lucky someday.
To have him, feel him and call him mine
I will then finally draw a line.
No more illusion then I will see
if this turns out into reality.

Love's illusion
You are a dream illusion of my reality,
You are the illusion of my dreams,
You are an illusion.
I try to live in dreams,
You see,
Dreams are my reality,
But don't be worried, my love,
They will disappear
Like bubbles
In the air,
Without leaving
Any trace in my memory.
They can form the illusion
Of the ideal perfect love,
More fragile
Than anything I know.
