Times have changed since George Herbert... but the principle and spirit in which he ministered as a priest remains an inspiration and model for all priests.

Life of a Roman Catholic Priest
A priest is nearest Christ;
A priest is Christ at times;
A priest is almost Christ;
A priest is most divine.
A priest is God’s shepherd;
A priest must tend to flock;
A priest must be like ‘rock’;
A priest should ne’er defrock.
A priest communes with God;
A priest draws hope from Lord;
A priest shows love of Christ;
A priest carries His Cross!
A priest is tempted too;
A priest has falls in life;
A priest falters also;
A priest has strength from Christ.
A priestly job is tough;
A priest’s life can turn rough;
A priest has strife enough,
But has to smile and laugh!
A priest helps harvest souls;
A priest has many roles;
A priest has but one goal –
To drink from Christ’s own bowl!
Pray that more priests should come;
May priests curb their freedom;
May priest usher Kingdom;
A life for Christ’s welcome.

Beloved Parish priest, ‘Holy Family Church, Perundurai

Maryknoll
Women priests are not allowed no matter how loud they scream,
They fired one priest already for going along with their dream,
So the Catholic Church takes this serious and no women priests allowed,
Though some priests may have been pedophiles; this is never said out loud.
Some Maryknoll fathers and brothers liked this women-priest notion,
They didn't realize this idea would cause such a commotion,
Though the Church of England has had women priests for years,
And some of them may one day be bishops without many fears.
I don't know much about this whole religious painful affair,
But I think it's time for a change in the real world out there,
This is the twenty first century with the Internet all around,
Not the fifteenth century where we had to knuckle down.

At The Confessional Box...
there is this boy
who looks like me when i was once a boy like him
who as taught by the priests
of the catholic schools have to be on a regular confession
inside that box where the priests
listens....
(Father i have sinned, i have not gone to confession
for a week and these are my sins...repeat, repeat, repeat,
and the priest, perhaps tired and
bored says...
my little son, say three hail marys, five our fathers, and 2 glory bes
and if you have time
write a poem) .
and so the poems since then were written.
the boy did not stop to live within that confessional box
the priest died
earlier than expected.

Never Would Obeyed
You are hooked onto something,
You can not see has ended.
Hooked onto it with clinched teeth.
But the fact remains...
Things have changed.
Things have changed so fast overnight.
Those who refused to be real with it.
Are the ones going into childish,
Temper tantrums and other childish...
Mental throwing fits.
Have you tried to get someone to heal real quick?
Doesn't it seem such a waste of time?
Especially when you know someone,
Who has never owned their own mind.
Don't you find that asinine?
When someone can't make up their mind?
Trying to find reason...
When reason wasn't hard to find!
And those who obeyed,
Don't have to be afraid...
Of the coming times!
Uh-huh.
And those who obeyed,
Don't have to be afraid...
Of the coming times!
Uh-huh
And those who obeyed,
Don't have to be afraid...
Of the coming times!
Uh-huh
And those who obeyed,
Don't have to be afraid...
Of the coming times!
And if they are...
They never would obeyed.
You are hooked onto something,
You can not see has ended.
Hooked onto it with clinched teeth.
But the fact remains...
Things have changed.
And those who obeyed,
Don't have to be afraid...
Of the coming times!
Uh-huh.
And those who obeyed,
Don't have to be afraid...
Of the coming times!
Uh-huh
And those who obeyed,
Don't have to be afraid...
Of the coming times!
And if they are...
They never would obeyed.
Uh-huh
Never would obeyed.
Ooooooh,
They never would obeyed.
Uh-huh
Never would obeyed.
Ooooooh...
Never would obeyed!
You are hooked onto something,
You can not see has ended.
Hooked onto it with clinched teeth.
But the fact remains...
Things have changed.
And those who obeyed,
Don't have to be afraid...
Of the coming times!
And if they are...
They never would obeyed.

Sweet Inspiration
Written by s. welton-jaimes, j. & m. jaimes
Sweet inspiration
Through the nation
With elation for your love
Inspiration, sweet inspiration
Sweet inspiration
Through the nation
With elation for your love
Inspiration, sweet sensation
You really do something special to me
And theres nothing better
Than when youre lying in my arms
So glad we got together
I never needed nobody
Until you came along
And this feelings so strong
I should be working on something
But I aint got the time
Ive got you on my mind
Sweet inspiration
Baby youre my, sweet inspiration
Baby youre my, sweet inspiration
Baby youre my, sweet inspiration
The thought of you gives me butterflies
And I feel so happy
Whenever you reach out for me
This is how it should be
And Ive just got to be with you
Nothing else can compare
Just as long as youre there
And Ill never desert you
Cos you fill me with pride
Baby you changed my life
Sweet inspiration
Baby youre my, sweet inspiration
Baby youre my, sweet inspiration
Baby youre my, sweet inspiration
When I cant think clearly
Just one kiss is all I need
Then I look in your eyes
And I know, I know, I know, Im yours
Sweet inspiration
Through the nation
With elation for your love
Inspiration, sweet sensation
Sweet inspiration
Baby youre my, sweet inspiration
Baby youre my, sweet inspiration
Baby youre my, sweet inspiration

Model Citizen
Be an Arab
Be a Jew
Be a boxing
Kangaroo
Beat yourself
All black and blue
I don't care
Be a bleeder
Be a Cancer
A hemophiliac
Romancer
Be a crippled disco
Dancer
Oooh... What a pair
He's a model citizen
I think I've got them fooled them again
He's an ultra-sweety guy
And a master of disguise
He's a model citizen
Just keep believing that my friends
I'm a model citizen
I'm a model citizen
I'm a model citizen
I'm a model citizen
I'm an all American!!!
I'm a hostage
In a city of creeps
They've got mercenary guards
That watch me sleep
They'd like to kill me slow
Bury me deep
In the heart of Texas
I'm a martyr
I'm a sadist
I might be the Saviour here to save us
I'm a friend of Sammy Davis, casually
He's a model citizen
I think I've got them fooled again
He's an ultra-sweety guy
I won't let down my disguise
He's a model citizen
Just keep believing that my friends
I'm a model citizen
I'm a model citizen
I'm a model citizen
I'm a model citizen
I'm an all American
I'm a model citizen
I'm a model citizen
I'm a model citizen
I'm an all American

Love Remains (feat. Christopher Cross)
Album: When It All Goes South
When the last drop of rain has fallen
When the final note has drifted away
When the earth ceases to turn
And the last fire has burned
When the wind stops its ceaseless blowing
When the last wave has come into shore
When the sun has called it a day
And the stars have all floated away
My heart will still be yours, baby
My dreams will still be yours, darlin'
You and I will find nothing has changed
Love, love, love
Love, love, love (remains)
When we have grown old together
And the hourglass runs out of sand
Darlin' you will kiss me and then
Forever starts all over again
My heart will still be yours, baby
My dreams will still be yours, darlin'
You and I will find nothing has changed
Love, love, love
Love, love, love (remains)
My soul is one with yours, baby
Just to hold you drives me crazy
In your eyes I see... you feel the same
Love, love, love
Love, love, love remains
Love remains like an endless flame
Through the brightest joys and the darkest pain
In the end....
My heart will still be yours, baby
My dreams will still be yours, darlin'
You and I will find nothing has changed
Love, love, love
Love, love, love (remains)
My soul is one with yours, baby
Just to hold you drives me crazy
In your eyes I see... you feel the same
Love, love, love
Love, love, love remains
Love, love, love
Love, love, still remains
Love, love, love
Love, love, remains
Love, love, love
Love, remains
Love, love, love
Love, love, still remains
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, still remains
Oh, love, love, love
Love, love, love
Oh, love, love, love

I trained to be a priest - started to. I went to seminary school when I was 11. I wanted to be a priest, but when they told me I could never have sex, not even on my birthday, I changed my mind.

So Soon We Change
(rod stewart / chen, savigar, cregan, grainger)
Seems like only yesterday
We were laughing like a couple of kids
Fun we had when first met
Aint been around much since
Sharing every hour every day
Funny how time slips away
But theres no replacement, baby
When the good times fade away
Oh how soon we changed
Oh how soon we changed
Funny how soon we change
Oh how soon we changed
You remember caseys bar
And maxfields after dark
We were different people then
Inseparable never apart
But now the novelty is wearing thin
We spend most time arguing
It was all so easy then
Itll never be again
Oh how soon we changed
Oh how soon we changed
Oh how soon we changed
Oh how soon we changed
I thought I knew you inside out
But obviously I was wrong
Makes no difference what I say
We just dont get along
Face the facts it can never last
Were driffing apart real fast
Id gladly give up everything
To start all over again
Oh how soon we changed
Oh how soon we changed
Funny how soon we changed
Oh how soon we changed
Oh how soon we changed
Funny how soon we changed
Oh how soon we changed
Oh how soon we changed

Her love is my inspiration
Her love is my inspiration
Love is the inspiration for my heart to sing a tune,
love is the inspiration for my ear to hear,
love is the inspiration for my soul to warm,
love is the inspiration for my mouth to smile,
love is the inspiration for my eyes to glisten.
Love is the inspiration to draw my soul near another
love is the inspiration for my mouth to utter sweet words,
love is the inspiration for my eyes to gaze upon her,
love is the inspiration for my heart to speak out.
Love is the inspiration for need, love is the inspiration for my mouth to touch hers,
love is the inspiration for my eyes to close,
love is the inspiration for my heart to race,
love is the inspiration for my tears to burn.
Love is the inspiration for longing,
love is the inspiration for my eyes to see only her,
love is the inspiration for my heart to cry out,
love is the inspiration for my ear to hear her whispers,
love is the inspiration for my soul to join hers forever.
Love is the inspiration for forever,
love is the inspiration for my heart to be whole,
love is the inspiration for my ear to always hear those words,
love is the inspiration for my soul to have hers,
love is the inpiration for my mouth to speak the truth.
Love is the inspiration for my soul to seek life
love is the inspirationfor my ear to hear her words,
love is the inspiration for my soul to reach for her,
love is the inspiration for my mouth to speak her truths,
love is the inspiration for my eyes to always look upon her first,
For she is the inspiration for my Love.

Oh My
Well, Im struttin up and down
Tryin to get my face in town
Wonderin the hang where
To turn each time around
Look in your mirror just to see my face
Two way time, baby, its no disgrace
Oh my, how the times have changed
Oh my, how the times have changed
Ladies used to dancin but I move for real
Lookin for reaction, something you can feel
When ya dance,
I move and they look me in the eye
Two way time, baby, its no lie
*oh my, how the times have changed
Oh my, how the times have changed
*repeat
*repeat

Sweet Inspiration
Lyrics and music by dan penn and spooner oldham
I need your sweet inspiration
I need you here on my mind
Every hour of the day
Without your sweet inspiration
The lonely hours of the night
Just dont go my way
A woman in love
Needs sweet inspiration
Yeah, and honey thats all I ask, thats all I ask from you
Ive gotta have your sweet inspiration
You know there just aint no tellin what a satisfied woman might do
The way you call me baby, baby
Is such a sweet inspiration
The way you call me darlin, darlin
Sets my heart to skating
And if Im out in the rain, baby
And in a bad situation
You know I just reach back in my mind
And there I find your sweet, sweet inspiration
Sweet inspiration
Oh, what a power
And Ive got the power
Every hour of the day
I need your inspiration
To go on, to go on living
To keep on giving this way
I need your sweet inspiration
Sweet inspiration, sweet inspiration, sweet inspiration
Sweet, sweet inspiration
Sweet, sweet inspiration
I need, sweet inspiration
