In any case, his judgment and set of values, acting alone or through his assistants, determine not only what is gold and what is dross but the design of the history which he creates out of the metal. The historian decides what is significant, and what is not.

Keeping A Light
Written by natalie cole
Hey, did you happen to see my sweet baby?
He was walkin on down the road
Tell him for me that if you see him tonight
Everything is alright
cause I know how he gets when hes low
Oh, hes a beautiful man
Kinda hard to understand but
Hes the only good man that I know
Wont you tell him for me
Im keepin a light shinin in the window
Just in case he decides to come home
Shining in the window just in case he decides to come home
(hes a beautiful man, kinda hard to understand)
But hes the only good man that I know
Wont you tell him for me? (tell him, tell him, tell him, tell him)
Im keeping a light (tell him, tell him, tell him, tell him) shining in the window
Just in case he decides to come home (ooh, ah)
Shining in the window
Just in case he decides to come home
Oh, we had quite a spat and that was all that but
We both said things that we didnt mean
Wont you tell him for me (tell him, tell him, tell him, tell him)
Im keeping a light (tell him, tell him, tell him, tell him) shining in the window
Just in case he decides to come home (ooh, ah)
Shining in the window
In case he decides to come home
Im keepin (ooh, ah) a light, baby
Just in case he decides to come home
Cant (ooh, ah) you see the light?
Cant (ooh, ah) you see the light?
Keepin (ooh, ah) a light, baby
Just in case he decides to come home
Oh, (tell him, tell him, tell him, tell him) just in case, just in case
Im keeping a light, baby (tell him, tell him, tell him, tell him)
Just in case, just in case
Oh say can you see (tell him, tell him, tell him, tell him)
My light, shinin, shining, (just in case) shining
I wonder can you see my light shinin, (tell him, tell him, tell him, tell him, just in case) burnin, shinin, burnin, shinin, burnin

Silver Is Metal Used To Kill Demon Souls
gold gold is the fever metal
for the love of gold shining in their eyes
men resort to violent base morals
gold lust will turn men's
hearts to savage beasts
gold is not a beautiful metal
of salvation
curse of death men's
gold haunts
generations of men
silver silver is redemption metal
thirty pieces of silver payment
price for betrayal of prophet Christ
in blood of Christ
silver is granted power over evil
silver is metal
used to kill demon souls
silver not gold
is salvation metal
with power to slay evil

The most significant piece of advice my father gave me early on about acting was, don't get caught acting. Really believe in what you're doing and then commit to it. Even if it feels uncomfortable, even if you feel that you're gonna look like an ass. It's all acting, but find the truth in a moment as opposed to just pretending you have and rather than trying to act your way out of it.

A Friendship
Gold is a metal that glints in the sun,
a precious metal that everyone wants some,
but gold can also be more special
when friendship looms on you.
Friendship is something special
and worth more than the metal gold.
For once, it’s wrapped around you,
you will never feel the cold.
It maybe invisible to the touch,
but can still be felt.
For when you are in need,
a friend is always there.
Their words melt the coldness
that comes from despair
and turn your frown
from an upside down smile around.
There is an old saying
that goes just like this,
with one friend you’ll never need
to ever be lonely again.
So when you have a friendship
take care of it with all your might,
for if you let it go
it may disappear out of sight.

I think my parents were happy that I'd gone to university and gotten a degree in history so they thought, 'Well if acting doesn't work for him, he can always become a history teacher or something.' Fortunately, the acting worked out.

No Values / No More Lonely Nights
I hear them telling me that you're selling off the furniture
And even keep my personalized autographs
You might as well go all the way and sell your granny to the zoo
And while you're at it, may I go to my psychiatrist ?
He's making money out of making me laugh
But I don't mind , I wish that I could say the same about you
It seems to me that you've still got no values
Oh you know you're not so hot, no values
And I'll be glad if you went away again
No values . . . no values . . . no values at all
The city shark is at the dark and of the alleyway
You pays your money and you takes your choice
The artful dodger says he wants to pick a pocket or two
But you, you've taken up a place in high society
A personal friend of messrs rolls and royce
Got them all convinced that everything you say to them is true
It seems to me that you've still got no values
Oh you know you're not so hot, no values
You know you've got a lot, but no values
And I'd be glad if you went away again
No values . . . no values . . . no values at all
I like your wife's smile, I like her car
If I had your lifestyle, I wouldn't go far wrong
On the waters of life you row your boat
Into the strongest tide that you can find
On the darkest of nights we were two of a kind
We went through it all before the tide went out
And left us stranded on the shore
How was I to know
How was I to know
Well you ain't got no values
You know you think you're hot, no values
You know you've got a lot, but no values
And I'd be glad if you went away again
No values . . . no values . . . no values at all

Well Done
“Well done”, words we long to hear, as the time of Judgment is near,
To the fine and faithful servant, from the One, Who’s fully observant,
Of everything we do and say, as we live for Him on The Narrow Way,
Living each moment in His sight, as we attempt to be for God a light.
Soon we’ll stand at the Bema Seat, where our lives, God shall repeat,
As all our service, God will replay, after we moved from night to day,
Not the judgment of our salvation, but, service, by God’s Evaluation,
Showing the motives of our heart, from the time our service did start.
It shall be a time of tears and joy, when Divine Fire, God will employ,
Purging from all deeds the dross, when for Christ we bore our cross,
As hearts were deceitful at times, so we strayed, from God’s design,
Serving sometimes with fleshly lust, even when in God, we truly trust.
So all our hay, wood and stubble, shall be burned as spiritual rubble,
That’s all those deeds tainted by sin, in our efforts while serving Him.
While all the gems, silver and gold, God will have our eyes to behold,
As our service, rendered to be pure, for through the fire, it will endure.
Soon will come the end of the age, when God turns the spiritual page,
With the end of the Age of Grace, we shall see our Lord, face to face,
And so when we enter into Eternity, humbled by Christ’s pure Majesty,
We hope to hear from God’s Son, the two words spoken, “well done”.

What is in a language?
Language carries in it the history of a people
The history that begins way before
The conception of that particular language
Every myth, idiom, or story told carries
In it the memories of an ancient infancy
Of a development that comes in stages
As that of a child crawling, walking
Developing a thought, a philosophy
Creating poetry and song
What is in a language is not just relevant
To the people that use it, but it is also relevant
To the entire community of languages
Like the fragments of a great puzzle
Every language has in it the bits and pieces
Lessons to be learned; things significant
To the history of mankind, things significant
To the growth and development of all

Metal Magic
When they say dont look back
Do what they say
You gotta look ahead
To a better day
In a world of metal magic
You need a break
Go forth
Take a chance
Make no mistake
Metal magic
Metal magic
Metal magic
Metal magic
They say you cant go back
Oh so true
When youre a rocker baby
You gotta pay your dues
In a world of metal magic
Magic never ends
Sometimes you lose
And sometimes you win
Metal magic
Metal magic
Metal magic
Metal magic
Lost in the metal magic
It never ends
Sometimes you lose
Sometimes you win
Metal magic
Metal magic
Metal magic
Yeah

Heavy Metal Hamsters
There are some fellows soft and mellow
Sitting in the field and play like hell
No one knows the way it goes
But all the songs they play they sound so well
Tonight we go to see the heavy metal hamsters
It must feel nice to be a heavy metal hamster
Nothing sets you free like our heavy metal hamsters
A 20th century fox came by
A gold tipped cigarette high in his jaws
Contracts, pds, nose-bags, tv-shows
And everything with no remorse
Things are settled now for our heavy metal hamsters
Fame up to your brows, oh heavy metal hamster
A previously unknown lifestyle heavy metal hamster
The sweet taste of success is strong
And everything inside goes wrong you see
With coloured furs, sunglasses
Tons of nuts to eat, they dont feel free
What is wrong with our heavy metal hamster?
Look what they have done our heavy metal hamsters
Where is the field to run for our heavy metal hamsters
Some things are left undone for our heavy metal hamsters

Yet if there really were a complete unified theory, it would also presumably determine our actions so the theory itself would determine the outcome of our search for it! And why should it determine that we come to the right conclusions from the evidence? Might it not equally well determine that we draw the wrong conclusion? Or no conclusion at all?

Napoleonic Fable
A fable that’s agreed upon
according to Napoleon
is what we should call history,
but ascribe its mystery
to recollections that are wrong
of brief events stretched into long,
in contrast to the brief report
that should, like our own lives, be short.
About this poem’s serious moral
A good historian would not quarrel:
Your history, if you are able
to write it up, is just a fable.
Napoleon once asked rhetorically: “What is history but a fable that is agreed upon? ”

Love Creates
Love creates mysterious things,
Love creates beautiful expressions,
Love creates everything we need,
Love creates without a thought :)
Love creates no thinking mind,
Love expresses from hearts,
Love comes through effortlessly,
Love becomes the place we share :)
Love is our greatest gift,
Love shares our hearts as one,
Love is creation and our intentions,
Love knows our beauty without pretending :)
Love creates ABUNDANCE always,
LOVE CREATES OUR INTENTIONS,
Love creates our endless wants regardless,
Love is our self expression SHARED :)
